Of course, we are going to remember him no matter what because of his invention. And that's why up to know people are looking for clues about his enigma. There could be individuals claiming to be Satoshi, but we all know that they are all fake because Satoshi wishes to hide himself from the prying eyes of the public. There are incentives for him to surface because he has tons of bitcoins, in billions. But I don't think it is enough for him to really come up and how much we search for him, we will not find it out, and will remain anonymous forever.

Exactly. He left the cryptospace for a reason quite a while ago.

Curiosity gets to people though after a while and there is probably going to be some trace back to satoshi at some point too - if not, I'd be quite surprised although their privacy should really be respected and is probably why nothing has surfaced yet.

Look at what he created. It is normal that the first few years it was not given much attention, but more than 10 years later we find an asset/currency/whatever you want to call it that has reached $1T market cap and has done so much faster than other assets. It poses a threat to governments and central banks and hence the reaction of some (in vain) trying to ban it. Others, the majority, regulating it because they have no choice and finally, others, a few welcoming it.

It is a genius invention, and the fact that Satoshi disappeared, along with the first Bitcoin mined untouched, gives a halo of mystery to the story that arouses interest, it is normal.

Out of curiosity people try to trace back Satoshi which is unwanted, because he himself understood the need of the world and innovated the blockchain technology along with bitcoin. Even before his innovation several others have tried it, and nothing came to light. Slowly his innovation reached great milestone, because at the beginning more illegal activities was happening taking advantage of the innovation.

The growth and adoption have given true value for his innovation. Satoshi wished to stay anonymous, and let us leave him and praise the innovation.

OP,you should stop generalizing.The people aren't gone crazy about Satoshi Nakamoto.
Most of the Bitcoiners don't care about him.A minority of Bitcoiners is curious about him,but they will never know what happened to him.
The crypto news websites will keep publishing the clickbait gossip articles about "Where is Satoshi?" and "Who is the real Satoshi?" just for the sake of getting more clicks,views and web traffic from the curious minority of Bitcoiners,who are wondering about what happened to Satoshi.

There are different reasons for different people.
There are those who read some poorly written article about Satoshi and his "fortune" and think he has a million bitcoin or more so they become excited to figure out who is the person behind this much bitcoin.
There are others who are excited to solve any mystery and what is better than the identity of the creator of the only decentralized currency in human history.
There are others who may have fallen for some scam where they were told a certain scammer is the real "Satoshi" so they are overly excited to follow that scammer around.

For the rest of us, we are excited about the invention not the inventor.

Satoshi is the founder of Bitcoin, how come you can like Bitcoin but you forget the person behind this all? It doesn't make sense. It's just like a rich guy who come from a broken home, he only enjoyed the heritage and he forget all his heritage was all achievement by his parents.

After all, I doubt someone can discover who exactly satoshi is... only the fake one.

i know that satoshi away because the good reason, if real satoshi shown up i believe dozen government will case thoose guy. ton of people will pop up do the interview that's maybe become one of many reason why he didnt show up

People's madness is not for satoshi, but for the legacy he left behind, namely Bitcoin, why did that happen because Bitcoin is worth millions, that's what makes people crazy, hope to meet satoshi can get a piece of bitcoin.

If you look at the history of the world of Inventions/Innovations, you would realize that most of the things were either rejected by the people then or not taken seriously. Here are 10 Inventions No One Thought Would Be a Success and Satoshis Bitcoin is no different from them. People will mostly not automatically jump into accepting new things more so when it involves money even though the Bitcoin price then was almost nothing.

It's really frustrating not to enter bitcoin during its low price but luckily those who are interacted with it on their early days they seemed to understand its worth and now been ripping all high profits and fortune. Actually that's finex knowing its usefulness might be good or something we can look forward to. Anyway people looking for Satoshi isn't ridiculous it's a matter of curiosity.

It's not about knowing satoshi is getting bitcoin from him. It's a totally different thing from having bitcoin without knowing him. Ask some new people in the market, they would say that they know bitcoin but they're not aware of satoshi.

Satoshi is like the Loch Ness Monster ..... people know there are something out there.. but they cannot find it. It is a bit of a obsession with them, because they want to solve the mystery.

I think we could just respect his privacy without necessarily forgetting him.  There is the tendency to ask who created Bitcoin whenever you understand how very useful and well built it is. So, we can always give him credit whenever we experience such moments. It ok we give respect to whom it is due even if he/she doesn't want it.

Because his name alone has value, and that's without him doing anything after letting the world know that he created Bitcoin, now imagine the stuff that he could bring IF he did something now. Sure, some may just be of the opinion that even if he came back and did stuff, the system of Bitcoin that he made is something that can't be touched by anyone, not even their creator, but still, it has value. And that's pretty much why some people are keen on wanting to know who he is.

Though ig that's the minority really, most people who haven't even touched the deepest part of Bitcoin would only probably have curiosity towards the man.
