Hello fellow collectors!

A couple of months ago two threads were created by dolphriends, which ended up in the interest of many members of seeing the creation of a V2 Gold Dogecoin.

Those threads can be found here:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5357525.0
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5355997.0

Support was massive, with more than 25 reservations for the coin.

So I open this thread with the aim of keeping everyone updated as well as receiving feedback on the design and specs, bear in mind it will be a slow project due to the peculiarities of working with gold, (Safety, storage, shipping...)

Design draft:

Proposed Specs:

- Size: 41mm
- Weight: 1.5 Troy Oz of .999 Gold
- Funding: 1000 Dogecoins

As a peculiarity, I am considering using the original Series 1 CI Hologram, featured in all the Dogecoins produced.

At the moment I can not provide a timeframe, hence why I am not taking firm orders/preorders atm, I will try to provide details as soon as possible. But bear in mind that price will probably be in excess of 4k$

I will not PM you with other accounts, double check via mail or Twitter that you are dealing with the correct account. Be careful, I will not send you any links.

Fantastic work! Excited to see another gold Doge come to fruition. I’ve already expressed it, but will again express that I’m in.

I will be buying one coin, I think gold crypto coins cant be passed up.

Even though this coin may be expensive it is worth it imo.

I like the fact this coin will have the old school hologram from the past.

I’m interested. Would be nice to see the balls with the “o” “g” & “e” like in the sketch.
It sure would fill up the other side of the coin nicely.

Looking forward to more details.

Figured the other side would be mainly taken up by the hologram.  Is it possible the basketball design could be switched to that of a dodgeball design- above the 1000 doge?

I think what he meant was the right side of the front of the coin.  Actually that wouldn't be a basketball but, rather a doge icon

Yes this is what I meant. Now is a good time to discuss it before the cast is made. Is there anyway the coin can look like it does (as closely as possible) as the Will sketch @CryptoImperator?

What I was trying to convey is that the ball image right above 1000 doge looks like a basketball per the markings.

That marking would not be there.

This is a sketch, so some changes will be made, and the final design will be posted here before sending it to the mint.

Ball markings that resemble a basketball will be removed Wink

I will not PM you with other accounts, double check via mail or Twitter that you are dealing with the correct account. Be careful, I will not send you any links.

Final Design is in!

I am considering doing something very different with the release of this coin, with a limited number of coins minted each year until we reach the total supply number. Still tweaking the idea, will hopefully share it here very soon!

Thanks for your patience!

The final design is awesome.  I am not sure how limited these will end up.  Several artists and over a year to get here. Smiley Smiley Smiley
