I read sometime that 3GB can mine ETH only if they are combined whit 8GB gpu, is this still true?.
The only GPU i could consider being rasonable would be 1060GTX. other old cards dont put the MHS for the power draw.

In June 2022, you will be able to repeat the combined mining method 8 GB + 3 GB to slightly extend the possibility of mining on 3 GB video cards. Have a look on here. It tells you what you can currently mine with a 3gb card (plus any others), and when the coin dag size will increase. (although as pointed out already, I don't believe rvn can't be mined with a 3gb card anymore even though the site suggests it can). |

Ir was an idea to use the SLI bridge so the smaller card could use the DAG from the bigger card,
but it never went anywhere.

Not true 😄😄😄 there was actually a way to mine ETH with 4GB graphic cards but I'm not sure it still works today, you will need to insert the 4gb card into the pcie x16 slot only meaning you can't add any extra GPU per motherboard |

Not true 😄😄😄 there was actually a way to mine ETH with 4GB graphic cards but I'm not sure it still works today, you will need to insert the 4gb card into the pcie x16 slot only meaning you can't add any extra GPU per motherboard That hasnt been an option for quite some time. It was a brilliant hack by lolminer that used a small amount of system memory and the speed of the bus to provide the extra dag storage. The dag has long since out grown the limited bandwidth provided by the bus but was a tour de force of creative solutions. |

This idea has failed. To obtain the maximum DAG hash rate, the file must be located in the memory of the video card. We can place part of the DAG file data in RAM or elsewhere, but as this data increases, the hash rate decreases very quickly. It's probably easier to replace the memory with a 3GB video card, if possible. |

Thats is why you are still mining RVN. thanks for the clarification that makes sense So I can mine RVN until the 4 Gb will be the bottleneck That's clean But I would like to get an answer to my original question if possible : Is it possible to mine ETH with the 1050ti if it's in a rig together with 6 gb cards? Or in that case the 6 gb cards will mine the ETH and the 1050 ti will still mine the RVN ? |

But I would like to get an answer to my original question if possible :
Is it possible to mine ETH with the 1050ti if it's in a rig together with 6 gb cards?
Or in that case the 6 gb cards will mine the ETH and the 1050 ti will still mine the RVN ?
Run several miners and specify in the parameters which video cards to use for each miner. Some miners have it working perfectly, others constantly complain about problems. I prefer to make a farm from the same video cards. |
