A while back I kept my btc in electrum.  I then eventually got a nano ledger.  During all the forks, bitcoin cash, gold and SV, I did not claim any of these while my btc was in electrum.  Only after I got a nano ledger, I then transferred btc from electrum to nano ledger.  It wasn't till a while later, I downloaded electroncash and then type in my electrum 12 word seed into it and then BCH showed up.  I then sent the BCH from electroncash to nano ledger.  Thus I did not claim my BCH until after all these forks.

I want to claim the bitcoin sv and gold now.

Do you recommend me claim bitcoin sv first on the laptop and then bitcoin gold?  Or vice versa?  I heard you should claim from highest value to lowest but also read you should do easiest to hardest.

Is it still

https://electrumsv.io/

https://bitcoingold.org/electrumg/

Do i only need to type in my 12 word electrum seed into it and thats it or is it much more complicated.  I had claimed my bitcoin cash with the 12 word electrum seed using Electroncash.  Then I moved the BCH to a hardware wallet.

A while back someone suggested coinomi on android.  I have iphone only.  But would you suggest this compared to the bitcoingold.org/electrumg site?  Thing is I want to claim all the forks from the old electrum seed.

Thing is I read with electrum sv, it might be complicated because it involves private keys and sweeping?  Or is it just as simple as electroncash with BCH a while back?

Bitcoin SV first since you've already claimed your BCH from the fork.

Reason is BSV has no "replay protection" and attacker might use your previous BCH transaction to send it to the same recipient in the BSV network.
Anyways, if the recipient is also you and it's sent to a non-custodial wallet, then there's no major threat concerning that.
Bitcoin Gold in the other hand, has replay protection so, you can send it last.

Short version: Your BSV and BCH-A (now Ecash) might have moved already. If not, you're lucky, and should get some dust on those chains to split them. If it moved cross chain to your hardware wallet, you can still recover it. I can get you some Forkcoin dust if needed (strings attached, of course).
Also get BTG and BCD, forget about the other forks. If one of them ever becomes valueble: please let me know how you claimed it Smiley

A while back someone suggested coinomi on android.  I have iphone only.  But would you suggest this compared to the bitcoingold.org/electrumg site?  Thing is I want to claim all the forks from the old electrum seed.
Then use Coinomi on Iphone. I wouldn't install Fork wallets on an active computer, don't trust them! Either use a VM, or a disposable system, or Coinomi.

The BCH I claimed a while back with electroncash was sent to my nano ledger.  The BCH has been there ever since.

So right now, i download that program I posted to claim the SV?  The other thing is there isn't any wallets where it seems keeping the SV there is safe?

I know i could send btg to the nano ledger.

You can also use your Ledger Nano, not using Ledger Live but ElectrumSV.
Ledger has an article about it in their support page: https://support.ledger.com/hc/en-us/articles/360012270054-Bitcoin-SV-BSV-?docs=true

It's easiest to use Blockchair.com to find which addresses currently hold your Forkcoins. Note that the "default" search doesn't include all Forks they support, and their eCash search doesn't seem to support legacy addresses anymore.

A simple legacy Bitcoin paper wallet will do (but you need follow the necessary precautions when you created it, and don't fall for scam sites).

Isn't the issue here my btc was in electrum the entire time all those forks occured?  The bch, btg and bitcoin sv and even those bitcoin diamond and private forks... when all those happened... my btc was still in electrum.  I did not claim my BCH until much later.  And i used electroncash for that.

So how would the nano ledger be involved here?  Wouldn't that not apply here?

You may also use https://findmycoins.ninja/ to see which coins are available for your address. And again - read carefully LoyceV's topic regarding fork coins (or if you are lazy ask him to claim them for you  Wink )

I am not really sure if I understand what you mean, but BTC is not in "electrum" or on pendrive etc. You had your keys/seed whatever in some application - and that's all. Information about BTC stored under given address were kept in distributed blockchain, when fork occurred you, as a "owner" of original BTC address you became also owner of fork coins.
ow the point is that you need different software to be able to access fork coins base on your original seed/address/key.

I thought you're looking for a wallet where you can send your BSV? (the quoted part)
So, one of the safest option is to also send it to your Ledger, the will-be-created wallet in ElectrumSV will only work as an interface for the Hardware wallet.

How do i use blockchair to find the addresses holding the forkcoins?

I do not have a clue about paper wallets... i dont think i want to get involved in that.

But I was told last time the bitcoin SV will be there though and it didn't matter when I claim it.  So that isn't true?  So that only applied to BCH?  Again I never claimed bitcoin sv because the process a while back seemed a lot complicated since there was talk about sweeping keys etc... which i have no clue about.

You can use it, but shouldn't rely on the site: I've seen it give incorrect data several times.

How do i use blockchair to find the addresses holding the forkcoins?
Start by entering your addresses, it shows several Forks already.

There's really no way to tell without checking the address (because of the lack of replay protection).

Okay so I know where I would send the bitcoin sv to.  Apparently the waves wallet has a bitcoin sv wallet so i could send it there.

Now the reason why i want to claim my bitcoin sv and gold soon is because i think my old electrum seed might be exposed.  Thus I don't have any btc or bch there.  I only want to claim all the forked coins etc.

So what is your suggestion on based on this?  Again I have my electrum 12 word seed so what do you suggest?  I had thought it was going to be as simple as typing that electrum seed in like with electroncash.  So it isn't?  Also is that software safe to download on computer?  Someone here mention they don't trust that software on their main machine and to use a spare one etc.

It's actually as simple as that, in ElectrumSV, it has to be added as an "account" after creating a wallet.
In your newly created wallet, you just have to click "Add Account", select "Import from text (....)", then type your Electrum seed phrase.
It will be automatically detected (as long as the address type is supported by their network).
You can do it straightforward or conservative (air-gap, etc.) depending on the crypto amount left in that seed phrase.

For the "trust issues", the wallet is also open-source, so you can audit it (or someone else qualified).

Okay so download electrumSV.  Then type in the electrum seed.  Then the BSV will show up just like that?  Similar to like how i claimed BCH on electron cash?

Then i would send the BSV to another wallet.

Then after this, safe to download the bitcoin gold wallet on the same machine?  What about the bitcoin diamond and private fork then?  I know best to do the highest value first etc.

Yes, if it's an Electrum seed (not BIP39), the script type should be included in the seed so it's as simple as that.

For the other forks like Bitcoin Gold and others, I haven't tried them but I heard that most of the Electrum forks are inactive so you might need to move them individually via private key Export/Import.
Procedures depend on the wallet but I haven't tested neither of the other forks.

Okay but has anyone here done so recently?  I know these new wallets have new updates every so often.

So when i do this, i don't want an issue where i'm suddenly stuck and not sure what to click on etc.

But it should just display my Bitcoin SV like how BCH just appeared on electroncash after typing in my electrum seed right?

Barely anyone can really do that, and it would take a lot of time. Running a VM is much easier.

Probably.
Have you checked a block explorer yet? Lack of replay protection is serious.

What do you mean check block explorer?  I do not know what you mean by that.  I only know if you mean put your btc address or some other coin address in it to see the history of the transactions that address has made?

So what am I suppose to do then?  When you say lack of replay protection is serious... I don't know what that means exactly but I know that isn't good for claiming the bitcoin SV.

The thing is I want to claim my bitcoin sv and gold and any other forks like diamond/private as soon as possible. But now you and others here say its not ask easy or its risky.  So I don't know what to do now.  Can anyone here who claimed bitcoin SV and gold and even private/diamond recently tell me how to do it?  There is no video on youtube to do this either etc.

I have a spare clean computer right now do download wallets for the hard forks.

Where should I begin?  Again I know there is bitcoin sv, gold, and also diamond/private.  I want to obviously start with SV and then gold.
