Hey guys...just wanted to get your thoughts on this. Do you think Bitcoins and litecoins and peercoins could be used together almost as the same currency but with different values? For example, I was thinking Bitcoins would be used for large purchases in the future i.e. a house, car, real estate ect. and litecoins would be for day to day expenses such as gas, groceries. Peercoins would be similar to pennies....anyone think a system similar to this could work? It would still be a one world currency we would all be using "crypto-currency"

The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

I don't think peercoin is suitable for very small transactions because it actually has pretty large transaction fees for a purpose of being a store of value rather than transfer of value.

Yeah I have thought of this before. However I once compared the hash-rate between bitcoin and the rest of the alts combined (in terms of btc generation) and it was incredible how much more powerful the bitcoin network was. In other words, the bitcoin network is very secure and merging alts with it would weaken it.

So you're saying eventually things will be priced out in MicroBits for smaller transactions and larger transactions will be a "bit" ....maybe 1 bit = 1million one day?

Bitcoin can do anything/everything.
Alt's might have a bright future depending on how many new features they come up with.

Except miners and speculators, yes. Any coin that doesn't do something meaningful better than bitcoin is, on the long term, useless.

bitcoin is a very slow network even with all the centralization it has. Many (might be most) altcoins outperform it in speed/confirmation time. Its like grandpa trying to race the kids.

I said something meaningful. Transfers are instant, confirmations are not needed for small purchases and for anything big 10 minutes is a trivial amount of time.

Exactly. I believe bitcoins and litecoins will be used together in the future...i think its only a matter of time before more retailers start to accept litecoin as well..
