So I was minding my own business on reddit, when I stumbled on a thread posted by some guy about this -> Metaverse Cryptocurrency. I'm not so well-read about this topic so I wanted to ask around here as well.
I also read this Meta Quest 2 porn article and after some searching, I found out that the adult industry ALSO has Cryptocurrency.

Aside from laughing about it, I wonder how big is this going to get in the future? Apparently the VR porn industry is growing pretty fast. What do you guys know about this?

Already the giant of Facebook Mark Zuckember is one of the pioneers of metavers, I have also heard some coins of metavers, including a well-known that is part of an NFT game called Illuvium, it is part of the game and to enter must have A fraction of that currency, I understand that it is a costly coin, for now the metavers are considered one of the best inventions to connect Laa people, which is most seen is that through a video call it can be connected with other people in A 3D world. These are some of the applications that metavers have, it's actually just the door of what they can do, if we take into account everything that can be achieved still a lot.

Metaverse is a growing industry, Facebook just changed the company name and logo to meta if a big company like Facebook and the multi-billion dollar industry like porn are already into the metaverse, you can be sure virtual reality is the future, and three to five years from now, we will all be in the metaverse, and coins that are metaverse based will be in the top in the market, this is something that investors need to anticipate and a great opportunity to look and study.

you are already in the metaverse. we are just forum board users this time but if they added features like face, hair, and so on combined with real-time. kinda like the avatar movie but on space only.  metaverse currencies however are just is exactly what money is. the value of real money is just imagined value anyway. this time the money only exists there in the metaverse.

I've not the read the articles you shared, but I just want to add that metaverse is here to stay, as well as crypto currencies in general, and there's nothing really to laugh about where or which industry decides to integrate crypto to their business, this is because, soon enough,, majority of this industries will come begging for a spot to help them integrate their business into crypto currencies,

There were some tokens for the porn industry earlier but i am not sure whether they are still live as there are many projects that die off eventually, but VR porn is a reality and for that you do not need yet another token, all they need is to accept BTCitcoin to purchase the content and if it is really good they will find customers and with 3D glasses becoming cheaper we will see more demand in the coming years.

The Metaverse term is being overused in most places now and many of these new offerings are just using it to get new investors to buy into the coin and have no real intention in developing a roadmap. While there may still be a few diamonds in the rough that pop up in the future I am still only looking at those that were around before this became such a hype term. So that's really happening where people would like to connect to each other virtually. I have no idea about VR pron but last year I saw an article where it was mentioned that pron workers will be get paid in cryptocurrencies.

If i am not wrong, PornHub was the first porn website accepting cryptocurrencies (VERGE in particular) to subscribe on it. But there still no confirmation that subscribers will get paid with the same process.
The same website has a section for VR porn, and it's still not clear if this type of content was made by the subscribers or by the platform itself.

The involvement of Facebook with the metaverse industry boosts the process no doubt that but our society really can accept that? Watching porn is forbidden in many societies and it affects our youth very badly. It perverts our minds and thoughts.

But what particularity do these games have over the others? I see that AXIE has dropped its popularity in a big way, since people stopped entering Axie they went into free fall and I think that the SLP can continue to fall further, if the BTC continues to fall the slp will plummet with more intensity, and I think that the game every time it makes an update is to remove benefits from people, this I do not see as a good thing but as a job and also a hard job that requires every day to study more and more, and it is a constant pressure because yes You fall below 800 cups, you don't win anything, I don't see any improvement, I see some who name a lot Sand, Mana, but hardly anyone talks about what the metaverses will be like and if they will improve the internal economy so that they do not become a pyramid.

Regarding digital and physical protducts, we like the idea of Boson Protocol where the virtual world and the real world are connected.

Ultimately we are trying to create a "one stop" portal that can merge all these together.

I truly agree with you. Virtual reality and cryptocurrency are still in their early stages of development. Blockchain gaming, for example, has exploded in popularity in recent years (still in its infancy though ). I've been following a number of crypto game projects, and some of them have sparked my curiosity, like as BORA and ENGN.

I don't understand the concept of metaverse coins. In the end there will only be 1-2 projects (such as Decentraland) that will prevail in the Metaverse and the other big coins like Bitcoin, Ether and a few others. It's a mistake to think that all or most of the Metaverse projects will survive. In the end, the most popular cryptocurrency in the Metaverse will also be Bitcoin

You nailed the fact there isn't any metaverse at all. It's just a bunch of different developers creating their own projects which don't have any connectivity among themselves. The word metaverse is being used and abused by the clickbait media, sensationalist personalities and developers from the speculative industry trying to make some fast money through a new hype.

However, you are also promoting a project of the same kind which can't deliver what you are promising. You can't force different "metaverse" projects to interact and let users share what they have conquered in one with another. It's all about a deceiving marketing which can't fulfill with its promises.

Maybe something serious regards this matter will start appearing from 2030 on... And even if it happens, I doubt it will be opened to the public.

It is overused because it is the trend these days.

And there goes a known company that has just changed their name into Meta just to get on with the hype. As they develop the actual metaverse without any relations to cryptocurrencies and any other metaverse projects.

I've seen a few hints from that project and it's impressive. Unlike with all of these metaverse projects, it's all about tokens and crowd sale.

Honestly, we can't expect more from these projects, in fact, many of them are worthless and no help in crypto development. We can see that many of them are not yet improving instead, they are close to dying as investors never see any benefits that they could get. Even it was the trend by now, I feel no confidence in them and no plan to invest in these projects. I'm gonna sorry if I was wrong but I guess not.

metaverse is a new project and currently metaverse is trending i can't draw any conclusions about this yet and i still see metaverse like a bubble
so let's see how this metaverse goes.

Every hype project and trend will slow down every time there is a bear market just like the Defi, NFT and IEO died after a plunge. Metaverse may as well do the same and then come up again with another name.

Porn Meta will likely go have a trend too but maybe in a few more years, it had already made some products like the vibrating panty. That's a real start up for a device that can be used for it.

I don't know anything about Metaverse Cryptocurrency because I only think the market conditions are still uncertain and difficult to predict.
For Metaverse, I think it will still take some time to give something a different experience and maybe it can't be implemented directly, even with VR.
But I never thought that it would be better than sex (as their slogan ) because for me, sex is important for humans and it's still better to feel it directly
So I don't think much about this because the market situation is the most important thing right now.

Like Sandbox was a new idea and it was good and people liked it because of it and I understand that, but right now I am seeing "metaverse project" everywhere, lets stop right there because metaverse is a vast thing and doing it properly would require A LOT of stuff to be done and would require millions upon millions of dollars to do it properly.

If you are not doing it that way and you are trying to build a project anything under a few million dollars then it will not be a proper version. It is just sad that people are making these kind of things a reality and imagine that it will work out very well.

Unfortunately that has been the case with crypto for a long time. People are investing based on hypes and then they get upset about the fact that they end up losing money on these things. I mean there are tons of people who say "how come people make so much money and I am always too late" and then invest into things like floki or whatever.

Yeah, unfortunately, the buzzword case is not something new and that is why. The stock market reacts the same way as well, Tesla is a great company and I highly believe that they deserve to be big, but not the biggest company in the entire world, they are not "that" big when you consider their profits, we also had the same thing with Amazon as well, they made a loss up until very recently and they were ranked very highly as well.

Basically, people just paid for the name and branding and buzzwords instead of the real data. Why do you think Warren Buffet invests into things like coca cola or geico and so forth? Because, they have the numbers to back up their level, Tesla and those type of companies, or in our case metaverse and so forth do not have it.

Look at bitcoin right now, it is so cheap, it would be awesome to invest into it right now, and there will be equally as much lost in weird shitcoin metaverse projects.
