Hello if you found their wallet or exchange suspicious and scam. Post it on scam accusation thread. There will be some comments there for sure if you gonna introduced that approach to that section. Most exchange have some haters, with some proof and evidence, you can definitely find it more useful or help from others with the same issues and case.

I'm sure forum members would prefer you to directly share all your problems in this thread instead of posting a link to your blog, and it would be better to open a scam accusation here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=83.0 to warn other members so that no one else has the same problem you have in future. 0.05 BTC high enough is about $2400

I'm really skeptical on this part:

Quote
Meanwhile i contacted the CEO of Luno on Facebook he accepted my friend request and answer on messenger, but not only he wasn’t able to help me as he wasn’t logged in the the system, but he also ask me to give him the password of my account with those words “Trust me, i’m here to help”. I repeat, the CEO of Luno asked me to give him ON A FUCKING CLEAR TEXT UNSECURE CHANNEL my password.

How sure are you that you're talking to the actual CEO, and not a scammer masquerading as the CEO? I doubt the CEO or any legitimate and competent customer service assistant would actually ask for your password.

No CEO would do that.

I've encountered that before that there were those scammers and copycats that would pretend they're the ones that you need. Acting like they're the support, they're the higher position, and even as CEO of the company where you're complaining.

But they're just scammers and no CEO would ask for the password of your account.

Yep, at least no decent CEO would do that. I'm quite positive that OP got duped somewhere along the process; though I have no idea how strict Luno is with login verification and 2FAs and such.

But tbh I'd expect a lot more better service from Luno, being a DCG company and all that.

I'm quite sure it's the right person as his account is directly involved in official luno channel discussions in a very crystal clear way. ( and of course i refused to give him my password, in any case. )

You better recheck it as it's easy to copy the name of the CEO and other staff if it's just through chat channels, messenger, and even his personal Facebook account? I highly doubt that.

AFAIK, Luno is one of the biggest exchanges out there although I haven't tried it. But I really doubt that the CEO would have time to chit-chat with a user asking for their personal information and login credentials if he can just ask it to his database admin without having the need of a password.

Yeah, probably he had.

I'm not also familiar with its strictness but really doubt that a CEO would ask for that and got a lot of time to talk and ask about the password of his customer.  Cheesy

Linking people to a totally different website wasn’t really necessary, you should have just written everything you wanted to talk about on this thread, and people can easily open it and read and then talk about it here, instead of having to link them to a totally different website. A lot of people are not going to click that link, and that’s for sure because they are expecting you to just talk about it here. And there’s also a thread in the forum for scam accusations, you can also open a thread there to make whatever accusations you may have against them.

I'm willing to bet is not the real one, how about we make sure if you contacted the right guy?
Leave the Facebook profile link here, simple as that, I suppose you don't have and I don't see any reasons why you would object to this, right?

Quote
, i carefully read the FAQs and the documentation on the Luno Website

You forget the part of the up to 14 days before enabling withdrawals for certain countries and tiers, and the part where the amount is available for withdrawal only 3 days after the payment from the bank has been cleared.
Since they asked you about the drive I'm pretty sure you've connected to the account yourself, since they saw different IPs on a brand new account, of course, it was instantly flagged.

Yeah, I did read the post on the website OP dropped the link, and I understand the kind of frustration that they are going through right now and it is not easy. This is one of the reasons why I do avoid centralized exchanges, because the problem is always too much.

I have also seen people complain of things like this about other centralized exchanges as well. They always monitor your actions and always try to indicate what you should do and what you should not. I am hoping that you would be able to settle out this issue. And does Luno exchange have any office in South Africa? If they do, maybe you can take up the case against them.
