Only red lights have been burning in the market for several days now. Many have investing and lost a lot. I have lost a lot by investing myself. I don't really understand which way the market is going or will go. What do you suggest in such a situation? 

What do you think YOU can do in this situation? If you can't hold through at such a bloody time then you might as well quit while ahead. If you can handle the loss though, then just keep going. A simple investment strategy involves not investing in one coin after all, so spread them out if you haven't so that losses in one coin won't affect you that bad. Honestly, even if you're in the negative I recommend not to sell, it just highlights the fact that you lost the trade. Just keep hodling. Slow and steady wins the race, no need to rush.

It is crypto market where anything can possible .So it can more dump and even it can more up .However we have seen the recent time that market has fallen and now its on more deep .I have seen recently some positive momentum has come on the market and it has started to recover .There are few reason for this deep may be the end of the year people are making cash for celebrating the XMAS and also the upcoming years .So i don't think there will be happened like what we faced in the past .Still we are on good position the market not became fall so much if we get a positive trend from this situation we can recover soon .My portfolio are also on negative momentum however i am still holding my asset ,don't wanna sell my asset on loss .You may hold your fund now choice is yours .

Seriously I don't think the market will crash like 2018 and if anything happens the only thing I believe you should do is just to hold your coins, make sure you are holding strong coins not shit coins that will definitely die. Patience. That's what you need. If you are a short-term investor then this might not be for you. But if you are looking for long-term higher profits than you should just wait for the market to be in a bull run again because it will happen eventually, we just cannot predict when.
What you could do now is read the history of Bitcoin and Altcoins. Dumps tend to happen and there are times a correction should happen. This might be it and if you did enter at this point then you might have lessen the risk of losing more but instead going for a gain in time.

The market may drop but I don’t really think that it is going to be as much as it was in 2018. The market has passed that level now, and it has a bigger market cap than what it used to be then,. So, even if the market should go down at this point, the drop is not going to be too much like then, it will still maintain a higher price.

If you check in 2018, the market went down from around $20,000 price to below $10,000 (I think it dropped to $3000), but this time around if the market should drop, it might be stopping above $30,000 or even $40,000, and then we will be expecting it to go back up again. So even if you are losing money now, it doesn’t mean that you are going to be losing money forever, there will still come a time that the market would go up and you would recover all that you have lost in the market.

This December month is very Risky time for new investment and it’s main reason is that Christmas and coming new year, some investor ask to me that what they can do new investment or Holding, i said that no need to new investment now just hold your previous buying coin,  and i think it is better than new investment.

Christmas days are terrible for Bitcoin and I don't expect to see a better Christmas this year. Let's skip Christmas and December and $100k for 2021.

Fortunately, in my opinion, Bitcoin has yet reached its top and we are still in a big bull run. If you have a macro view, you will see that Bitcoin still performs very good and still be on its track to a top. I believe that what happened in 2018 will be a valuable lesson that will not be forgotten by all of us. So I believe that investors are now smarter
and able to face the current bearish trend. I believe the events of 2018 will not happen again, so don't worry about the current state of the market.
It's better to reduce stress, don't monitor the market too often. Expand other positive activities, this can help us to be more relaxed in dealing with
the current situation. Maybe I don't think it's necessary to sell the coins we have if we do buy potential coins, because it will make us more stressed
if it turns out that at the beginning of next year the coins we have can pump high. But if we hold meme coins or shitcoins, it's better to sell them now
and replace them with investments in better coins.

It will be, someday, because once there is  a bullish era, there will be also bear era. But the exact time of a bearish market like in 2018 is still unpredictable. Some people may say that this will be probably next year after the altcoins seaosn. But so far, altcoin seasons are still not here and the bear trap is still surrounding.
However, the pattern of bear and bull market may be little bit different if we see so many market corrections and also bear trap even during the bullish era.

Most probably the first quarter of 2022 will be the recovery phase and we might start that after the Chinese New Year just like before. December is always a nightmare like everybody is spending their money to avoid paying huhe taxes and they really love to spend money on holidays. 2018 is a different level and right now, we are still holding on not to dump that much, let’s hope for a better price before the year end, we still have 2 weeks left.

I hope the market turn out as you analyze it so as to allay the fear of the OP, I agreed with you that Christmas and Chinese new year is always a difficult period for crypto hodlers except those who exchange their coins to fiat probably for shopping or spending it on goods and services, however as a matter of fact no how matter red the market is during correction, the market is going to rebounce back to it bullish sentiment, historically it has happened in the past, it is a matter of time, patience and perseverance is the key to regaining all the losses incurred during the dump.
