BISQ decentralized exchange added interesting new feature of Atomic Swaps starting from version 1.8.0 and this is currently available only for BTC/BSQ swaps.
Bitcoin colored coin stands for BSQ, but in theory Atomic Swaps in Bisq could work with anything else like stablecoins, or any other coins that support atomic swaps.
Swaps are instant, trustless, without risk, they have less fees, and no special Bisq account is required.

https://bisq.wiki/BSQ_swaps

I think it's only a matter of time when other stablecoins and privacy coins will be added for swap option in Bisq and I heard some developers are already working on that.
More people switch to Bisq, less we need to use centralized exchanges.

and this is currently available only for BTC/BSQ swaps.

If it's the only available pair, then only existing Bisq user which could feel the advantage. New user don't really care about consensus on Bisq DAO even though BSQ also can be used to pay trading fee.

Privacy coin such as Monero already support atomic swap, so i agree it's just matter of time. Not sure about stablecoin whose developer don't really care about decentralization though.

Yeah, BSQ token is not available anywhere else except in Bisq exchange, but in reality this is also a Bitcoin that is holding some other value, and looking at explorer it would like a normal bitcoin transaction.
I think that 1 BSQ is 100 sats, but what is interesting is that maybe we could have other colored coins that could be pegged to dollar, gold or any other asset.
This way maybe we don't need to use other stablecoins that are mostly centralized and can be frozen.

BISQ succeeded what openbazaar failed but last time i used them exchange was slow and take time to load.

Is the atomic swaps really decentralized or is it centralized and dependent on a network such as BSC and BUSD.
and other Blockchains will use wrapped coins or real coins?

Maybe a Forked version like Haveno

It's much better now than it used to be, but you still need to download software, sync and interface can be improved, so doubt it will ever be super fast.

Is the atomic swaps really decentralized or is it centralized and dependent on a network such as BSC and BUSD.

Binance chain, busd and all similar shenanigans are run like a small cartel of nodes, so it's never going to be truly decentralized, it only have dex sticker.
However, I think that you can exchange some assets with Bitcoin even if those assets are centralized, and I am saying that not as a export on atomic swaps.
Most people probably don't care if something is decentralized or not, as long as that thing works.

Maybe a Forked version like Haveno
This could be interesting and I see they released new website, but it's long road ahead.
