Diminishing Hash Rate Over Time

Ok I installed and ran the aging tool. Now may hashrate is diminishing rapidly. Within 10 mins of reboot it got up to 76 TH/s then over the next 20 mins declined down to 68 TH/s. Fan running at a constant 51% with temps steady between 63 and 68 degrees. Any thoughts on cause or action to take?

I see the ADJ field in the logs has a value of 0 which the manual indicates means aging is in progress. Perhaps this hash behavior is a result of the process? Any idea how long aging takes to complete?

update: ADJ[2] now shows indicating aging finished. Do I need to do a restart or do I let her keep running? Hashrate now up to 71 TH/s (still low)

You didn't follow what I suggested in my previous post as I said try to run the miner at higher fan speed. Because I notice TMAX reach higher temp.

Also, keep updating the API logs here so that we can analyze your issue well.

And normally you can't force this unit to run at high-performance mode but you can prefer to switch work mode to performance mode. You can find it under configuration on Web UI. This unit is not running stable at high-performance mode it automatically switches if they detect high ASIC temp. Look at your previous logs TMAX it shouldn't reach above 85c as a recommended chip temp.

After the aging process completed and I wait a few more hours, the hashrate is up to 77TH/s. It seems that the aging did do some good work. As for your suggestion of running the fan speed in the 80-90% range to see if it will run stable for long, if I notice the chip temps dropping below 60 should I end the experiment? I fear that this will keep the chips on average too cool. Seeking your opinion before executing the experiment. I don't believe the ASIC has toggled off of the performance mode before but I also haven't checked to make sure, my only evidence is that in the nomral mode it will hash in the 50TH/s range and in high performance above 70TH/s. At no point did the ASIC ever hash consistently in the 50s, except for the few hours during the aging process. Here are some current logs:

That's very cool if you have below 60c temp and others have 70+ high with low fan speed but your TMAX is high it means there are still fluctuate on temp.

Watch this at the end of your logs WORKMODE[1] it means it's running at high-performance mode.


Well, you said it's running fine now after the aging process, so keep monitoring the miner for 24hrs and let's hope it will run stable at that speed.

great thank you for your help. High performance mode is enabled. Something must still be happening that occasionally the TMAX will get high every few days and cause the machine to restart. Will see if that still happens now that I have done the aging.
