Meme coins are said to have no great foundation so anytime, they will come to an end. And its always expected that they will not live longer in this crypto market as they have no real utility cases. And investing in them could mean very risky on the part of every investor as their value only depend much in hypes. And every time big whales like Elon decides to backed meme coins.

However, if a serious price correction hits the market like what we have right now, i do think they will only have less chances to survive. Seeing dogecoin and Shiba Inu with their present status, its like they are greatly affected by this current market correction.

I wonder how many people actually managed to get rich with meme coins? Many people here on the forum own some meme coins and probably made a decent profit it this year. But I would expect that many investors are like me and only held a small amount in meme coins. Elon Musk made good money with doge coin, but what about all the reddit traders who bought into the hype? The HODL strategy of meme coins might look nice to your fellow traders, getting rich of it might be very hard. I don't think the meme coin hype is completely over it just gets harder to profit of it.

As we are seeing now, meme hype is slowly replaced by NFT/Metaverse projects.
It will not be long before we see this meme hype die down. Some may still be alive next year, but people will realize that this is not a sustainable project to hold onto.

I guess not all crypto users/investors are listening to that call and warning, because until now still a lot of investors were speculating on the meme coin/tokens. in that case, one thing is for sure they don't afraid of what may be the outcome is, they are only concerned about the possible quick profit if the meme tokens were pumped just like Shiba Inu.

Well, meme coins nowadays are definitely having a hard time to recover just like any other altcoins too. This correction is really making the market turns into a bloodbath. And investing in meme coins with definitely no real usage will be very risky but if you believe in them no matter what other people say, i guess just be responsible and be ready to accept all its consequences. But as long as you only invest on the amount you can afford to lose maybe just trying your luck, then i think you will never be in a huge loss once that happens.

although you can see for yourself, many tokens share the same name as dogecoin and Shiba.
it will not help them to gain market confidence to enter. because now investors are getting smarter and competition in the market is very tight.
meme coins will probably always be around, and more of them will become shitcoins. even after being listed on the exchange, it will most likely be dumped straight to the bottom.

The majority of the cryptocurrency space run on the basis of hype and do we need to complain about that. Majority of the projects does not have any use case and they are rallying simply because they are run by big funds backing their project and their vision is to make money and some of the project are doing that wonderfully, so why accuse meme coins as just hype. 

Anyone who invested in Doge last year would have made a fortune, that is the ultimate aim of some of these projects .

I think the meme coin trend has ended, where almost all memecoins have decreased drastically making it difficult to grow again, for example DOGE and SHIB, even though there are many crypto users who have profited from the memecoin, but the coin cannot be used as an investment long-term. I myself really doubt that doge and shib will be able to survive in crypto.
