Satoshi's comeback must be having a dramatic effect.
On one side it can brings some innovation in bitcoin currency and everyone would be having a positive view about it. Buyers would be taking at all times high.
Secondly, those who are pretending to be satoshi will start opposing and would be trying to demand proofs wether he is real or not.
This conflict could affect BTC.

The only good reason for Satoshi to one back is to stop all the faketoshi nonsense and especially to disprove and humiliate CSW !
I would not call Craig Wright's exposure a compelling reason for Satoshi's return, especially given the fact that the cryptocurrency community is quite successful in countering the lies that Craig spews out. But, by and large, we do not even need to oppose Craig and his community, since he is already tightening the noose around his own neck, because normal sane people under no circumstances will want to be part of such a toxic community.

Moreover, you don't need to be a genius to understand that Craig doesn't really care even about his brainchild [I don't even want to delve into his true intentions], since every lawsuit he initiates has an extremely negative impact on the prevalence of Bitcoin SV, (I hope you understand what I mean).  Wink

If he comes, that will be very good for the botcoin community. He can update this technology with his brilliant brain to make it more reliable, but he knows if he comes back, not only he but the whole community might face the problem with bitcoin. He understands that bitcoin is untraceable, but he is trackable; if he uses a bitcoin forum, the world can find him, and the so-called government can put pressure on him to stop the bitcoin service and anything else that could be harmful to bitcoin; he also faces a life risk.the community, he left this forum, which is the best of what he knows. This demonstrates how forward-thinking Satoshi Nakamoto was, sir.He knows if he comes back to improve bitcoin, then he might stop bitcoin too.

It is possible, that Satoshi is/are reading all these bitcointalk contributions ... and although some pepole want him/her/them to come back, nothing happened.
Tell one good reason why Satoshi should come back. (good reason = improvement of Bitcoin)

I don't see any good reason for Satoshi to come back. The bitcoin source code can be updated by anyone which then needs to score 95% confidence from the miners to get updated to the source code. So Satoshi can do it even after staying anonymous. But yes, if Satoshi comes back and then make the changes then it will be easier to win miner's confidence.

I would say, Satoshi must stay anonymous for the rest of his life! I strongly feel that these lawsuit of Craig Wright is a staged incident by FBI to lure Satoshi out. Because obviously Craig doesn't have access to Satoshi's stash of bitcoins.
This is what I thought too and its like using the sympathy of the people to lure him/them out using the acting skills involving lawsuit. But Satoshi isn't buying those drama hence no matter what they do they can't force someone if they don't have something from him/her/them.

And I believe there's no need for a good reason to let Satoshi show up or come back since the answers above me are a proof that Satoshi can participate anonymously in the shadows without risking their privacy. And I think Satoshi already know what would happen if he suddenly shows up.

good reason = improvement of Bitcoin
Improvement of Bitcoin source code is one of good reasons, I agree.

However, it does not mean satoshi has to appear in public in order to contribute to Bitcoin source code. satoshi can make such contribution in a shadow and it's thanks to a real decentralization of Bitcoin, isn't it?

satoshi decided to leave our community but he did realize that there are different ways to contribute to Bitcoin.

Sum up, no good reasons to appear again in public.
The improvement in bitcoin is really now a serious and very compelling reason for the possible appearance of Satoshi Nakamoto due to the fact that individual groups still cannot agree on how they see his future. This is not even necessary in order to say how to improve bitcoin, but at least in order to decide with your authority the question in which direction to improve it. However, we understand that Satoshi Nakamoto will never reveal himself, because he deliberately hid his identity from the public and quite a long time has passed.

One good reason why he should come back is to tell everyone the intent and the purpose behind creating this great technology, Whitepaper does gives you a lot of details about why this was created but still listen to it from the person who created this system altogether would be a different experience. Secondly, he might be such a brilliant brain because he thought of something like this and this type of brain can be used in the future too to create some even better technologies or even solve the problems that layer 1 blockchains are today facing.

In short, the return of Satoshi will negatively affect the currency in one way or another. He can also contribute to the development of the code without revealing his identity.
I hope he doesn't stalk this discussion despite some of my beliefs about him still contributing to this forum and bitcoin in any way.
Without activating the wallet then I think satoshi can still contribute behind the scenes just by emailing the bitcoin developer or something. So far I have never heard of an administrator who was accused of being a satoshi to provide information about satoshi at least as long as I am active in this forum. So anything is still possible about satoshi but if he appears then we will only get 2 impacts and that is positive about CSW false claim and negative on price.

I guess he's not reading anymore but it probably he is only checking the market trend.

I don't think there is a need. People had already accepted that the creator has been gone for many years and maybe, he had just been forgotten. If ever he got back, that would be the time to show in public and tell his story and that people know who he is. But doubt it can be done as he tends not to show it rather keep anonymous till he dies.

With his contribution, I think it was enough. In fact, the only we wanted to change is the instant transfer nothing else, I think.

My intention was, to give Satoshi the opportunity to read, what the bitcoin community thinks, why he should come back. Maybe Satoshi would like to ask that question, but didn't know how to do it  Smiley

Satoshi should keep on being anonymous as he is. No one would ever believe if he comes out to say he is the one "Satoshi Nekamato". His showing up won't make the whole world accept bitcoin wholeheartedly. Am just being okay by how far bitcoin has gone.
Satoshi will be anonymously happy wherever he is by now, of not reviewing his identity up till this moment

Well, that is a good reason but I think it is not necessary because it could be his life will perhaps in a risk.
There are too many people who are claiming a faketoshi and for sure this will have a big controversy in all of those people who are claiming they are a bitcoin creator. Satoshi is a very smart guy if there is a chance that the bitcoin creator will come back I think he/she will silently develop the source code of the bitcoin into a better one.

Should Satoshi come back again to show and also support the Bitcoin development?
I don't think so. Satoshi, whoever he is or they are, must have certain reasons why they or he don't want to be exposed to the world. And it means that it is enough and even the real Satoshi is reading, I don't think that he want to reveal about himself or even come back again because this may not conform to the first objectives.
Btw, we don't know who exactly Satoshi, and we know that today some people are impersonating as Satoshi.
There is no reason Satoshi to come back again. let it be

For history. For records. History is very important, and it would tell us a lot about what an individual can accomplish. What was the real motivation? How much skill did that person have? It's thinking about future generations and not just our own. They deserve to know as much as they can about the origins of this.

I hope that Satoshi wasn't so stupid to have erased everything that would prove their connection to the origins of bitcoin.

Even if the economy crashed with his reveal, it would recover. Bitcoin is the most scarce globally-accepted digital item to exist to date, and his reveal wouldn't change that. It's a new economy.

There is no reason for him to come back. Bitcoin is a decentralized currency. If he comes back, people are going to consider him as a central figure of bitcoin. Anything he does or says will have a huge influence in the bitcoin market. And lets not forget about the FUDs that are going to be spreading when he comes back. I am sure some people will start panic selling because they will think Satoshi might sell his coins. Bitcoin has been developing well for decades without Satoshi. Other than knowing who the creator is, I doubt anything good or new will happen when Satoshi returns.

I don't see any reason for him to come back. It would do more bad than good imo. It would hurt the decentralized image of bitcoin. Look at ETH for example. Most people see ETH as a company with a CEO (Vitalik). When you ask people the current owner of bitcoin, they can't answer. Everybody knows that Vitalik manages ETH though.

Help the developers to make developments and upgrades into Bitcoin.

I think this is already a good reason why Satoshi should come back but we already know that this will not happen..... or it is happening already but in silence. Either way, helping the developers to upgrade Bitcoin would be the best reason why Satoshi should come back. On the other hand though, I don't think that Satoshi shouldn't come back anymore because there might be a possibility that he/she/they might trace his/her/their whereabouts and it might also cause Satoshi's anonymity to disappear so I think its better if Satoshi shouldn't come back anymore. Anyway, Bitcoin is in good hands already Smiley.

Satoshi is not easily come back here or show to the public because he already left this forum and decided to do another thing. He can come back here without telling us that he is the real Satoshi and maybe he is already online here but we do not know for sure. He has his choice to come back or still hide somewhere so no matter what happens to this forum, he can still hide. But I am not sure if something bad happens to bitcoin or blockchain, he can come back to fix everything. But that is just speculation.

Besides Satoshi coming back simply to contribute to the Bitcoin Core software, then I can't really think of anything else. The downsides simply heavily outweighs the upsides especially concerning his/her/their personal security/privacy.

And if Satoshi would come back to contribute, he/she/they should definitely do it under a different pseudonym. (assuming Satoshi isn't actually actively contributing today under a different name.)

As long he isn't necessarily interested in receiving the Noble Prize, there is really no incentive to reveal the identity behind the pseudonym Satoshi. I don't even care who he is. The one thing I would like to know is whether Satoshi's coins will ever be moved in the future.

Does the Nobel Prizen even have to be sort of "claimed"? I've seen a lot of times people on Twitter saying that Satoshi should win the Nobel Peace Prize; so I just assumed it can be awarded to dead/missing/anonymous people.
