AM not sure if this year can bring still a great increase for Polkadot(DOT) but i think in the coming years? this can happen because DOT had already reached half of that 100$ so what more the years to come as this project is successful and also ha potential for long term use.
but give it a time because like other coins that made their  ATH already this needs time for development to prove its use and for the support to grow more.

Undoubtedly, dot is a layer 1 blockchain with great capabilities not fully utilized yet, dot already had a great run this past month and right now it seems to have corrected a lot,
At current price dot seem like a good buy for a long term hold, when we have another bull season it is highly likely dot can be even higher than that, everything needs time and patience.

I do not see the problem with polkadot reaching that price during the next bull run and if anything I think it is a realistic expectation, and it could even be argued that depending on how big is the current bull run polkadot could reach that price during this bull run, after all it is a good project that has the support from a great deal of people, so I think it is entirely possible for the coin to sooner or later reach your target price of 100 dollars for each coin.

As always ... the quesiton is ... have we seen total crypto marketcap ATH of current market cycle? If yes ... forget about new ATH on DOT anytime soon (3-5 years, if ever). If not and we will see one more push (or two) ... every shitcoin will pump so will DOT.

Now about Polkadot. As you said ... "is skyrocketed by its price" ... the end of the story. Thats what DOT achived. Failed to achive anything else except price pump. In simple words ... its working product ... that no one wants to use because no one need it. BSC was succesfull because it was lauched when everyone needed good scalable blockchain (defi bubble and explosion of ETH gas price) with good reputation (binance in name) and compatible with ETH (Devs can move their projects from ETH to BSC without coding. People can trade using BSC without dowloading new wallets and learning how to use it). DOT was lauched when no one needed another fast chain and failed to build userbase when it had the biggest hype around it.

Its super overvaluated project that is doomed to lose 95% of its present evaluation if its the end of current bull cycle and I think it will not be in top 50 during next cycle.

I see investors are more interested in investing in solana, bsc, eth or avax than polkadot so that the DOT price is difficult to fly past $70. need a strong push for polkadot to get to $100.

I'm not in the question about what this project can contribute in the market, as based on my observation, it really has and that is what we see now. Polkadot, just like other blockchain platforms, creates such an impressive rise as long as it has a working product. It was just dot had made it and so people are coming to invest them.

Well, $100 is sounded achievable, might not this year as we are close to ending but probably for the next year. It really becomes possible or even more seeing the demand is also moving high.

they still have a lot to do on this network so high likely that it will go up again. but needs to surpass their previous ATH before going up to 100 bucks. but take note that they will only achieve this if more and more projects are utilising their network. so you need to lookout for their adoption. are devs or project owners starting to deploy their project via this network? because the more projects on board, the better for its value in the market. so that 100 level is very achievable, it is only about x2 of their previous ATH and that's not too difficult to achieve. but when is the question here.

Those commenting, have they actually read about the polkadot ecosystem and know what it's all about? Remove price discussion, polkadot is building something revolutional and unique unlike the hundreds of copycats in the industry. The timing of the Parachain Auctions just came late, assuming this was done before the peak of the bull cycle and not at the peak/end then the story would had been different as polkadot should be trading way above $100 easily with all the hype it got.

From it's previous high that's just 1x and that can be easily achieved during the next bull run if the momentum is maintained. Read about the Parachain and you'll understand DOT is a gem if it can accomplished a small percentage of what it's aiming to do.

It's possible if we looked at its past performance. But to avoid disappointments, just take it easy on that speculation. It doesn't have an assurance that in the next bull run, Polkadot will follow the trend. Crypto is unpredictable even for a worthy and good project.

If you think someday Polkadot will reach $100, then trust your instinct and invest in it right now. You won't even end up in a plan like that if you think that coin is not worth in the long run.

I really got surprised reading this article citing DOT is a god investment, but who knows, right?

And it was stated there that DOT makes a huge pump someday. But that someday it takes several years before it reaches. I'm not sure if these holders, investors could wait that long or they got tired of waiting for that moment and selling them.

So if we invest in this project, never think we could make a huge profit in a shorter time as you just fail. Imagining with that huge market cap of $30billion is gonna be a tough way to make it.

Have you read carefully what the question made by OP? He didn't ask about the possibility of DOT price in the near future, he ask the possibility of DOT price to reach $100 in the next bullrun. The next bullrun may happen in 2024-2025, it is still very far from today. And when it is in bullrun, an altcoin price can increase very significantly. So, I think it is possible, DOT can jump to $100 in the next 3-4 years. Do you think it is not realiztic?

The problem is there was a better competitor for DOT and that's solana. Solana has a better mechanism compared with DOT and so many people have been moving from DOT to the solana. You can check it by yourself it DOT is placed out from the top 10 CMC. DOT can worth 100 billions to make the price will able to surpass $100 but that will make it being over valued token. The usefulness didn't match with the valuation.

It's better to pick solana rather than DOT. So many dapps developers didn't even interested to use this platform. They prefer to use solana as it has almost the same mechanism like EVM but with different hash and improvements protocol. DOT has potential to go to the 100 billions mcap but this will not happen in a short time.

Ok, Polkadot is working on parachains. But is this technology worth 100 billion dollars at the stage it is now (evaluation at 100$) ? I mean like, maybe it is after 10 years and 100 million users. But now, when its not 100% ready and no one is using it? Real evaluation of DOT is around 1/500 of current marketcap if not less. And if we are talking about the evaluation of 500x real value ... real value its close to 0 compared to evaluation ... so does it matter at all what DOT is doing?

Last months I stopped chasing tech in crypto because each day there is new project that claims to do something revolutional. I started to analize financial situation of project, userbase it has and compare it with evaluation. Becuase its a lot easier to copy/paste open source code and implement it to your project rather than convincing 10 million people to give up on their chains and build something new on my chain. When DOT will finish their work and projects like BSC will see that DOT threatens them ... they will steal DOT tech, change a little bit and present it to their userbase.

I'm still supporting and investing in project that tries to deliver something new/innovative but those are project evaluated <50 mln $ because thats how much startup with not finished product is worth.

All comment are pointed towards the next bullrun, as for this current cycle I don't think there's much left for the market to do. I believe you're not new so it won't be necessary discussing all that is possible in this space but let me just say, the total market capitalization of cryptocurrency wouldn't be the same, this bull cycle saw it peaking at 3T+ and we could easily double that or even trade above 10T in the next bull cycle, with that alone, if polkadot maintain its momentum it can easily surpass that price target.

In the next 4+ years ethereum would be having a market capitalization of atleast 1 trillion and others will be in the 100s of billions which polkadot would be a part of. The work just began and if you follow the Parachain auction you can see millions of Dot been stakes and won't be released (made available in the market) for some years, all this are factors that'll contribute to the growth of the DOT price also consider more and more project will be joining the parachain as the years go by.

This is no financial advise though as I could be wrong beside we're just speculating here. There are some projects considering those working on it and their past record, you don't just give up on. It took Cardano how many years to deliver on their promise of a smart contract blockchain again but they finally did.

I will make it simple for you. If you believe in this project and have Polkadot, you should hold on tight no matter if the price is down, but you can buy back more. If that project is really worth holding, you should not doubt and just believe in your analysis that Polkadot is one of many potential altcoins out there. Polkadot price can increase higher in the next bull run. But unfortunately, we do not know how high Polkadot price will be so whenever you see the high price, you can sell some amount to take your money back while you still have the other amounts that will be ready to sell at the next high price.
