It went to the new ATH due to the bitcoin bullrun. I'm sure that when bitcoin bullrun will be coming again and the price of this coin can reach another ATH again as long as bitcoin can create new ATH again to break 70k in the future. This may happen next year.

Is it possible it could reach $100 or more in next bull run? Or It would suffer to break its old ath that time due to competition with similar project?

It's possible and why not? the marketcap of DOT is still below ethereum and binance smartchain. This coin is possible to reach $100 as the marketcap when DOT reaches such value will still under 100 billion marketcap. that makes sense if this price can be achieved by DOT in long term. Bitcoin may possible to increase even higher from time to the time, The competition was very strict these days but remember that any blockchains have their own uniqueness. DOT is very well known as a complicated blockchain compared with Solana. I think dot needs to be compliant with EVM but it seems like DOT is really stable right now.

If the breakout passes the downtrend, it is possible that DOT could rise again to its previous all-time high around $54.22 or $55. If this mechanism doesn't work, it's likely to go down again.

I guess PolkaDOT should spend more time and effort on marketing because I believe they have lacked in this area, It has no doubt that they have the technology and capability, but they are drowned by the Ethereum and Binance popularity due to many topics and discussions, in the latter part of 2021, that's why that $100 price speculation for DOT is very hard to achieve even in 2022.

I'm not sure Polkadot is still hyped as much as it was hyped early on in the year and now that there's an alternative on NEAR protocol called Octopus Network, I'm not too big about it considering appchains don't need to spend thousands if not millions of dollars on a parachain slot. Best bet would be to see Polkadot hit all time high but that would need a major news to achieve such.

Polkadot still has potential but only problem is that things are moving slowly in their ecosystem due to the project scope.

DOT had been around and the community says good thing about its future but you know the majority of people here are looking for easy Money than looking for the normal growth of each coin.
to show how healthy the community of that currency and the true support and not just being manipulated.

Polkadot have chance to reach $100 but i am not sure it can happen in 2022 but it has possibility to reach that price in last of this year. CZ Binance said all coins will recover 10% in this year. as CZ tweet DOT will not be able to reach that price in this year
