I am a newbie. There are so many different websites, articles, information about cryptocurrency that it is hard to know which sources to trust. What do you recommend?

Youtube, filter for most views. The best info is found on that platform.

To be honest this forum is a good place for information. Different to an article here is you can ask a question, start a thread & helpful people will comment & try to help you. Alternatively you can use reddit r/bitcoin.
My starting point would be to read the whitepaper at bitcoin.org

Like others I learned about cryptocurrency on Reddit.
Reading it regularly I think it’s a safe store of value to hedge against the coming inflation from our spending during the Covid pandemic.
I try to stay up to date with crypto news on Coindesk but I check several other sites daily as well.

luckypenguin: answer is simple: trust nobody.
That said, this is a great place to learn. Soon enough you will learn which members are to be trusted and which aren't.
Besides that, I personally have already taken 5 different courses on cryptocurrency from Udemy.com and The Pirate Bay. They're the same courses, but on TPB they're free (Udemy is very affordable though, especially when they're having a sale), so you can adapt to your circumstances.

You can start with Youtube. There are plenty of videos that will give you a basic idea about cryptocurrencies. There is a free course by Simplilearn on Youtube that can give you a basic idea about the cryptomarket. You can even check coindesk. It is a website where you can find beginner to advanced articles on cryptocurrencies.

Start with Bitcoin.org. Why? This is the place it all started. Once you have absorbed their knowledge, you will have enough info to do searches.

Much depends on your goals. Some people need only superficial information, while others need fundamental knowledge about how a certain blockchain works. Personally, I use https://elarabcoin.com/ . It has all the information I need. But I am in trading, so I have my own specifics of work related to cryptocurrency as a tool.

Like every other person have their reading plug,I get mine my information
On reddit.Reddit offers understandable and satisfactory cryptocurrency information to me.
My reading habit have gotten a new grade, since I made Reddit my study companion.
It has become one of the most popular website globally that provides updated news and trends, discussion and
Analysis of cryptocurrency.

I myself am a beginner. And I'm always looking for information about crypto on google, YouTube, and also on this forum. In this forum, there are lots of knowledgeable people and a lot of experience. You can learn from them little by little.

I think it's a little risky using anything like YouTube about crypto. There are a lot of accounts that don't give you education without pushing some sponsored angle or company, and that's going to give them a bias. Especially the accounts that rank up high, they're just more likely to be sponsored and seem to slant their videos and topics to match that. Basically, if they seem gimmicky, just stay away.

By far, the 100% best way to learn is to get involved in a project. About 6 or 7 years ago, I had just months of experience in crypto and wanted to learn more. I reached out to a couple upcoming and promising projects and offered my web design services. A couple accepted on a volunteer basis, and I had a terrific time contributing to some very meaningful projects and seeing how the crypto space works.

I suggest learning about bitcoin and crypto in this forum. You can ask things that you don't understand to the people here. Because this is where some people discuss bitcoin.
