Not really, I will say the thread you have already posted is the appropriate board for this topic and you have already gotten as much advice as you will get on this forum. This board is for more general legal issues relating to bitcoin as you will see in the description; Legal issues related to Bitcoin. Regulations, tax codes, etc. and not for personal legal counsel.

There should be some sort of reputable legal firm around that you can approach for legal support to pursue your case, that will be a pretty good place to start, and would give you actual advice that would be most relevant to you.

Be wary of PMs from users looking to help you in one way or the other, scammers can try to use desperation as means to scam you.

I think someone already posted a good advise, make some noise on their official twitter account and see what will be the reaction of their CEO.

If this is true then it involves a huge amount of money to begin with so the OP has every right to get it back from Kraken. So try that route, create a twitter account and tweet about your case, maybe someone from them will take notice of it because they have a lot of followers and everyone is going to see it, thus their reputation is on the line.

Hi,
I already opened a topic in another category, but as I'm looking for legal advice, I should have posted here I guess.
Since you're looking for law and justice here, so I'm not talking about other members complaining here about the Kraken exchange working system, because I also see there are a series of accusations against the Kraken exchange site in this forum.

So, so that you get a fair trial here, regarding your case, try to contact this person: btcx

And try to discuss in their thread, state your case there, hope you get justice there.
Review here: Topic: [ANN] KRAKEN.COM - Exchange with USD EUR GBP JPY CAD BTC LTC XRP NMC XDG STR ETH

Who knows, this may work and it is free, but I guess that his little voice won't be heard inside Twitter's noise, unless he spams, which I would not recommend.

As already said, I would stick to the original thread and, if you don't get the satisfactory answer you are looking for, try different ways (paid professional legal advice, for example: you already said it is very expensive but it might be better than losing 50k). This forum is a great source of knowledge but, unfortunately, panacea doesn't really exist. I'm sorry about not giving you an advice that solves your problem directly, but I don't know well the legislation that corresponds to your jurisdiction and, in addition, this is not an easy task and would need a lot more information and time.

Well he can try this method and see how it goes for him. Twitter might be a good thing to do if he doesn't got the attention from the support personnel.

Hiring a lawyer might be costly though and it's not an assurance that you can get back your money, so it's a long shot.

Hiring a lawyer should probably be your last option due to the cost. I just checked with a regular business lawyer and she would charge about $7500 for your case (a 15% cut), so it seems you might want to get some free/paid legal advice before going all-in on a lawyer. If what Kraken's doing is illegal, you can even just let the police help you.

Police where? Kraken is in USA, I'm french citizen, I'm not in the USA now, Police in France doesn't do anything for problems outside France, they already don't do much for problems in France...

For example anyone can report an internet crime to the IC3, but what the FBI will do for you is another question. For now you might want to get professional legal advice from a local lawyer to explore your options first. Hiring lawyers who specialize in crypto is probably an overkill for your case because your dispute with Kraken sounds like a simple breach-of-contract issue.

Once you figure out what legal actions you'll take against Kraken, see if you can pay a paralegal (not a lawyer) to help you write a demand letter detailing the legal steps you'll take. After you send the letter to Kraken, be prepared to follow through with your actions (like hiring a lawyer) if Kraken doesn't budge. This could save you some money if Kraken doesn't escalate.

From the story you posted on another topic, I believe Kraken isn't really the culprit. Since you're French it's possible that you triggered the TRACFIN alarm and an investigation is going on. It doesn't mean you're shady but there is still the investigation to check it. That's why Kraken isn't really giving you an explanation, and they can't really disclose everything.

In The US, they have an organization as we have in France with UFCQueChosir. You can fill a complaint and they send it to the company and it has 2 months to reply. The problem is I can't remember the name so if someone from the US is reading this...
The name is similar to BBB. You go to their website and fill in the information asked and tell your story

You can also perhaps get help if you contact "le mediateur de l'AMF" and get free advice from lawyers if you go to the "Maison de la Justice et du droit".c'est gratuit

Exchange should prove that they was charged back really to avoid the accusations on them and if they do then its the end of case with Kraken so now you should go to the bank and asked why they charged back even after you closed the account.

But another question raise why did you closed the account when you didn't perform any shady things with the bank account?

I say Bitcoin is game over.

You heard the story about Kraken looking up customers in private? As on their home address. 3 men high.

Exchange should prove that they was charged back really to avoid the accusations on them and if they do then its the end of case with Kraken so now you should go to the bank and asked why they charged back even after you closed the account.

Don't forget Cryptopia. It's government shit now.

Throw some "shit" and see what sticks.

@jrrsparkles: You didn't read carefully, the main problem is Kraken holding my funds that are NOT related to the recall, the funds on the account are like 10 times higher than the recall amount, but it doesn't matter because the recall was NOT accepted. And I never said I closed the account, if you want to sh*tpost, open your own topic.

@Easteregg69: Kraken is not looking up anything, they're just stealing customers' funds because they can, I'm not the only one in this situation.

If you are being investigated in the U.S., the law requires them to freeze your account and forbids them from telling you anything. It sounds to me like that is what is happening here.

Kraken has been a Gov asset for a long time. If people still have any money on there, they deserve the treatment they get. The funny thing is, there isn't a single centralized exchange that can do business and ignore the government's requests. I guess at this stage, it is either Bisq or nothing if you want to keep trading. Every centralized exchange you see out there, they are all banks.

Kucoin seems to not care for now but I don't know when will they change their minds.

Kraken didn't freeze my account, it has been closed.
And it's not because of an investigation, they said it is because the bank made a recall, they said a recall triggers account closures (after you withdraw your funds, but they didn't let me withdraw).

@mindrust:
You're saying people using centralized exchanges deserve to be stolen, what is wrong with you?
I agree that people should avoid using centralized exchanges, but they should not be abused.
Crypto would not be that popular without the centralized exchanges/services, we kinda "need" them to make crypto mainstream, at least to do it faster.

Well, it's about using crypto-assets for something it's least suitable for: Trusting an external, centralized entity for hoarding it.

The most applicable advice has already been given: considering that you cannot get to an agreement with the entity, seeking legal counsel seems to be the proper next step.

Crypto would not be that popular without the centralized exchanges/services, we kinda "need" them to make crypto mainstream, at least to do it faster.

The question is what price you're willing to pay for entering mainstream...
