Dear community. Has this also happened to anyone? I was trying to connect my trust wallet to pancackeswap but it return error every time. Then I went to pancackeswap website and clicked a link to their telegram group and joined. I immediately received a phone call and I explained my problem. I was sent a link to troubleshoot the problem: www.app.walletimports.com and followed the procedure. I didn't know it was stealing my secret key because I believed that pancackeswap is a reputable company. They stole my 0.055 BNB. Be careful with that telegram group.

This happened to almost all crypto newbies I know I'm sorry for your loss now I believe you've learnt your lessons, no one will DM you for legit reasons it's always scam DMs, here are other things to look out for
1. Don't run after what's not yours, when you see unknown tokens in your wallet address it's a scam, they will trap you once you try to sell the tokens, just ignore the tokens you don't know anything about
2. Use coinmarketcap to get the real tokens and coins websites and contract address and always disconnect your wallet from any connected Dex or website after purchase is been done

Nobody can steal your money until you share your seed phrase or sign the transaction that allows to spend your money. Actually, if you connect your wallet to a reliable web-site, everything must be OK if this web-site is not hacked, so make sure that you tried to connect exactly to this web-site https://pancakeswap.finance/ as there are a lot of scammers who create similar web-sites and then cheat people.

TgNKs for your insights. But I am wondering that I got the telegram link from the official pancackeswap website which led me to a scammer!

So if you encounter such way when it comes contacting support better to get out as soon as possible while its not late to prevent hacking..

I'm surprised that you are wearing a full member rank and yet you fall to this cheap trick, never share your private key whoever ask it, that's the first rule of the thumb it's a warning that applies to all project and application, Pancakeswap is a reputable company the cause is your ignorance on giving your private key and joining an unofficial telegram group.

Pancakeswap is a reputable company but ... people are only people. If you are employed as support and earn 500$ monthly and someone comes with 1 000 000$ inside wallet and gives you private key without asking ... most people will not think for a second about what to do. Thats why you never share your private key no matter with who you think you are talking. But most likely it was not the case in your situation. Its highly likely that you were phished ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5122515.0) to fake site and fake telegram group or, whats even more likely, you asked for help on official telegram group and it was spotted by scammer who PMed you - thats super common. Thats why many admins on official telegram groups have "will never PM you first" next to nickname.

They are also smarter than anyone so they can always dodge and can always make new things to deceive many people so that any evidence they can always delete faster because they are smart people who have bad intentions.

You are not the only one there are many here who have been scammed in the same manner. That is why you should respond to DMs on telegram and discord. You should never receive calls on telegram unless you know that particular individual. Scammers nowadays impersonate IDs and straight away call which makes it hard for anyone to check the ID. Beware of such new tacts by scammers and always stay safe.

Op, I believe it's good that the amount of money you lost is not very significant because it could have been much worse. Are you sure you joined an official telegram group chat rather than some chat created by scammers? Just by a simple act of googling, I found this list of groups and channels. They do have a Telegram group chat, but they write down many times that the admins won't ever DM you (I believe same goes for calls by extension) and that the chat is for announcements only (not troubleshooting). So it looks like scammers simply join the chat, seek for people in trouble, DM them as official representatives, guide them to basically providing all their wallet access info via a website that allegedly helps recover the money, and get the money from the actual wallet, using the data the victims entered, themselves.

Trusting all sorts of telegram spammers is very harmful to your safety. Just by asking a question about something in the chat, all sorts of well-wishers are immediately trying to help you. They write in a personal as if they are admins and solve any issues. I had a lot of such offers and be very careful.

The fact that they called you is already suspicious enough for me. Pancake swap is a reputable exchange so there's no way they'd scam that much and ruin their integrity. Are you sure the one who called you are really the support though? or just impersonating supports?
Be careful next time though. Don't answer calls from someone saying they are from support because they are most likely a scammer. It's customers who calls the support.

That is one of many ways that scammers will do to trick users. I have experience can not access PancakeSwap but then I do not force myself to keep trying to access the exchange and make sure my internet connection does not have any trouble. Maybe I will wait for 5-15 minutes before I access it back.
I never knew if PancakeSwap has a telegram group so I do not know about that. Actually, you should feel strange and suspicious when someone phone calls you and suggest you send the troubleshoot to a different website instead of sending it to the PancakeSwap website directly. In this case, you can not do anything as your money is already sent to them. I am sorry to hear you lost. I believe you will make a big profit in the future.

I don't know if you just mispelled it here in this post but you are writing pancakeswap with an addition "k" so you wrote "pancac kswap" this could have also been the reason why you have been scammed or why you landed on the wrong website when you tried to connect your wallet. I can imagine that this is all part of the scam system. You go to the wrong website then of course your wallet connect doesn't work then you get a message that you need to join the "scam" telegram group and in this telegram group it says that you need to contact the phone support which tells you to do stuff so they get your tokens.

I'm sure that they asked for your personal information including your private keys. I guess it's a lesson learned for you. Being scammed is too frustrating but sometimes, it happens for a reason.

I got the telegram group link from the official pancackeswap website!
You received a link from scammers who read about your problem in Telegram pancackeswap. Scammers very often impersonate group admins and in order not to get caught in such a scam, you should have written to the admin yourself, who is listed in the pinned message of the group.
