I'm tired of watching these four accounts regularly exchange merits among themselves.
I am very interested in how you can call it? The accounts have very similar nicknames, they participate in the same bounty company, and in addition to all this, there are common transactions for one wallet.
I suppose that we can hear here that this is a big family and stuff, but somehow, I want to know if this is not cheating and not an exchange of merits between alternative accounts?  Huh

It seems to me questionable behavior to say the least. Here we could apply the saying: "if it looks like a duck...".

Have you contacted irfan_pak10? The rules of the campaign prohibit enrolling alts. The only problem is we don't know for sure it is the same person or buddies/a family/a farm, so in these latter cases they wouldn't be breaking the rule.

No, I didn't inform the manager. Knowing the manager, I'm not sure that this is an argument for him being banned from participating in his company.

The posts written by these accounts are quite similar. Well, they probably all have one style, and one narrow fantasy, for inventing nicknames for their social networks. https://twitter.com/SyedRehanZakir1 Grin

I'm just wondering if this clan decided that they are special on the forum, that they transfer the merits exclusively to their own?

How do they even understand the meaning of being and communicating in the community?  Shocked

They might not be breaking their bounty rules, but I'm certain they're abusing the merit system.  Maybe the bounty manager will care about that, maybe not.  I'm also not sure how prevalent those "bounty farms" really are, though they do exist as far as I know.  It seems more likely that when you have four accounts like this with sorta-similar usernames, all sending merits back and forth among them that it's a single person behind them all.  If they were individuals, I'd think they wouldn't necessarily try to join the same bounty, since there are plenty of them.  Nor would they have similar usernames.

I could be wrong about all of that, of course, and in the end it doesn't really matter.  There's merit abuse going on and possibly cheating in a bounty--and it's all up to the BM to decide what, if any, action to take.  Good catch on this one, OP.

You might try doing it anyway, though it sucks that apparently he's the type who wouldn't care.

Yeah, most likely this isn't some kind of farm with multiple individuals; it's probably one person behind all four accounts.

I'm sure @Sayeds56 isn't a merit abuser or the account former, I know him very well, he is very active in the Pakistan thread and usually gives merits to good posts in that thread. He is also a very good crypto analyst - giving free analysis- Many can vouch for him.

No that can’t be true.

I know this user too and I also don’t think it’s a merit abuse. Simply when you are posting in a limited threads like “Pakistan” there’s very high chance merits will be exchanged.

And he sent received total seven merits in a month (from 14 Nov to 18 Dec) come on give it a break.

And that’s your reason of tagging these two accounts?? I mean really??

2.syedakhlaque
3.Sayeds56

It’s ok some how your proof for account 1. and 4. makes sense, but 2. and 3. there’s no connection. At least not based on your posted analogy.

Is exchanging of merits between alternative accounts a problem? What can happen with less than 50 merits?

  • No one will risk with it because it will increase the probability of linking accounts.
  • Exchange of a few merits will not make a difference in the account.
  • Unless the case includes hundreds of merits or with merit source it is a good thing because it will mean more high-quality posts.

What is the criterion that making it a merit farm exchange? It is less than 50 and it is not enough to rankup more than member account.

There is no single person behind these accounts. We are a big family. Every member is running it's individual account. You can verify through IP address.

Do you want me to tell you how easy it is to change IP addresses, and even so that you will all be from different continents?

And that’s your reason of tagging these two accounts?? I mean really??

As you can see, I have not tagged any accounts. But I expected to hear something like that. That this is a family and so on.

However, have you noticed general transactions in some accounts?

Therefore, I just leave this topic open, so that other participants can simply observe that within the multimillion-dollar forum there is a "family" that seems to live only in its own world. Together, they help each other advance in rank. After all, they receive practically no merit from other participants.

Just no comment ...

Is exchanging of merits between alternative accounts a problem? What can happen with less than 50 merits?

Do you think this is not a problem?

Oh really? You are all one big happy family, so much that you are even sending coins to each other...
He can't verify any IP adresses because he is not a moderators, and it's trivial to change address using some vpn service, Tor browser or even Opera browser.

Sending merits to your alt account is a clear case of merit abuse, and you would be surprised how many members are doing it.
I am not sure if this is the case here, especially in small local board but when you have money/coins exchanged between them it becomes much more suspicious.
On top of that all mentioned accounts are participating in same bounty campaign.

PS
I think I might just have one more member Sumikhanom500 who is using same twitter account, same as mister family man Rehan Zakir:

I'm with theymos on this one:
Merit sales, transfers to aliases, back-and-forth trading, etc. are not much of an issue. All illegitimate merit will decay, and will account for a tiny and very expensive fraction of the total merit economy. It's basically a rounding error; fight it where convenient, but waste no sleep over it.

Yeah, the whole "You can check the IP addresses!" argument is a non-starter, since none of us can do that.  And as I wrote in my previous post, it's possible that this is some kind of family bounty farm (though the thought of that chills me to the bone) but the more likely explanation is that these accounts are controlled by a single person.

Unfortunately, there's no way to tell for sure--and that's why I stopped tagging suspected merit abusers a long time ago, in addition to the fact that Theymos doesn't really want them tagged unless the abuse is blatant and extensive.  The argument could be made that there's some bounty cheating going on here, but that's up to individual members to decide as to whether to tag these accounts or not.

Since @Rehan Zakir already admitted they are family members, so I agree with that. Users' names are pretty similar because of hereditary title IMO. Because as far as I know Pakistani family members name something similar. I worked with a couple of Pakistani guys when I was abroad, so I know their naming style. So I am not wondering to punish them for that. Just give them the advantage of the hereditary title since the admin is not much strict about merit circulation. So we should be soft here.

Yeah, in this case, you can also recommend to all cheaters who suddenly decided to start a farm and participate in one bounty company, and also exchange merits, just choose very similar nicknames. And in the future, if you have any questions about them, declare yourself a big family. Grin
Seriously though, I would just like to point out how these users behave, transferring merits for very mediocre posts. But yes, everyone has their own levels.
