Stake had a $1,000,000 giveaway today, Christmas day, where 90 users won $10k each and 1 user won $100,000.

So the winners of the $1,000,000 giveaway were posted less than 1 hour ago here:

https://stakecommunity.com/topic/49607-1000000-christmas-raffle/

The user who won $100,000 is someone who "joined" Stake 5 days ago and managed to wager already over $300,000,000 ($300 million):

You can also see he is "leading" the other $1,000,000 race as you can see how much he wagered so far:

Now,

Do you want to tell us that this user who simply joined 5 days ago was able to wager $300,000,000 just like that, and because of that he got so many Xmas tickets - he also managed to win the $100,000 today?!

As someone in that thread itself in Stake's forum says:

Compare the 100k winner to Ayezee. One of the biggest streamers out there. This guy wagered the same in 5 days, as Ayezee did the last 5 months. Something is not right.

So can anyone explain if this is real or is this a fake user?

Becuase, if this is a fake user - then why don't Stake explain it?

If this does look to you genuine then hats off but honestly it's extremely difficult to believe that someone can simply pop up 5 days ago, wager $300 million and win the big bucks!

By the way, just reading this "user" was betting $300m on HI-LO, some users spotted him doing it:

https://stakecommunity.com/topic/49609-scale-from-1-10-how-disappointed-were-u-in-the-stake-christmas-promos/#comment-1020039

Also another user said in that thread "oh yes also most of eddies promo codes are always abc123...."

And a small correction - this user also won several $10k prizes as it was possible for the same user to win more than once!

This is looking to be extremely shady, hands down.

Yet another gorgeous marketing move from stake, they should work on their ability to make shady things not too obvious though.

300 million in 5 days, hahaha. Classic stake.

Their moderators are locking topics that discuss this in their own community now, why?!

(This is locked, OP had to edit his post, read the entire conversation there)

("Whole stake community is in agreement that the Xmas promos sucked balls, and we all got fucked on the raffle by a house account.")

This is not right!

Maybe Stake's sponsors should be alarmed and aware of what is being swept under the rug!

ofcourse bets can be proven in blockchain but you never know if there fake accounts that take first prizes in races
also for this case lets say its fake account why stake will not make it hidden like many other accounts there hidden

See:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2072589.msg58819819#msg58819819

All users were revealed when the giveaway was done, there was no privacy and good thing there isn't any. Scammers try to make things look genuine by nature and even if he was hidden it wouldn't have taken too many efforts to find out who the user is - the list of the 90+1 winners are here, no one was "hidden".

https://stakecommunity.com/topic/49607-1000000-christmas-raffle/

One more thing, mcalculator - you said:
"proven in blockchain" - there is no "blockchain" for Stake... These bets are not Bitcoin bets you can find on the Bitcoin explorer.

Please, if anyone wishes to respond, please do respond with logical, coherent and with a response that makes sense.

Yes this user is indeed real, the implication that we would create a fake account to try and cheat users out of 100k of the millions in crypto given away to players this month without evidence is ridiculous. This user has been doing some massive wagering the past week and won fairly.

You guys are not even buying tickets to this raffle this is an incentive for players on top of all the regular bonuses, this reaction is disappointing.

It's not the first time Stake is having such a giveaway; did we ever have any shady activities from stake? I guess I haven't seen any. I would say it's someone a real user.
Now, even if the user isn't real; in that case, a user made by stake.com, is there a way to verify this? I guess no. We can discuss, argue for a long time but as long as stake don't say it's a fake user, it's not a fake user.
By the way, how logical is it to have a $300 million wager within 5 days? I don't play big; I don't have much knowledge of this. I mostly prefer sports betting.

this reaction is disappointing.
I'm not really surprised by their suspicions(even if they are already against stake.com). wagering $300million in such a short time is extremely ridiculous(at least for me). anyway, just like what RapTarX said, there is really no way to verify whether the account is owned by stake or not(at least not that I know of).

IMHO, This is not shady but rather a rare scenario. A whale can go all out if the prize is like that since they can recover there loss when they win the grand prize. Since gambling is just a 50% chance winning probability, They might win along the way too that's way a whale like him can bet ashit tons of money without any hesitation since he knows that there will be a prize at the end incase he loss.
Having that in mind, A whale can possibly bet insane amount for a short period of time.

But of course there's still a possibility that there's really shady activity happening in the background but we should not conclude unless there's a solid evidence supporting the accusation.

"Oh and btw he only placed 6k bets to get that much of a wager and eddie said he cashed out huge. It doesn't add up how and when all of this happen when cashing out after a huge win would require kyc and it would take atleast a week to sort it out as far as i have seen in the past! Correct me if i am wrong but this doesn't look alright to me!"

Cashing out so fast without KYC, lol. And 6k bets worth 300 million, thats 50k per bet on average. And then he suddenly stopped. Haha, who are we kidding here.

This is a money launder scheme performed by stake, not more and not less. Only victim are the players who got robbed by their chance of winning the raffle, even if the chance was small, this scheme made it MUCH smaller.

Edit: By the way, ever since the raffle draw there wasn't 1 twitter post made by stake, in over 50 hours. Before that there were several a day. Guess they already know the storm will continue there.

Stunna,

Are you Eddie or just someone who's related to Stake?

I am trying to believe I am speaking to a honest person (your trust level in Bitcointalk is high and I see it's mainly for signature campaigns where users left you positive feedback). You are saying "this user is indeed real and won fairly". I will get to that "real" part in a second but I must relate to the 2nd part of your own words first.

Regarding "You guys are not even buying tickets to this raffle" - take my account for instance. Wagering $108,000 is "worse" than buying a raffle ticket - and one of the main reasons I did it or any other player would have done it was believing you might have a fair chance winning the raffle. You have people here who deposited thousands of dollars, their hard earned cash - and risked it, time and time again - and you just put it all off by devaluaing what real human beings did here in order to have a fair chance? "You guys are not even buying tickets" - that's a very nasty comment if you ask me.

Now, I'd like to move on and talk about this "real user".

I've been following on this member who joined Stake around 8 days ago.

Here is a screenshot of his position in the race from the 26h of December 2021:

Wagered $315m

Now here is a screenshot of his position in the race from the 27th of December 2021:

Wagered $315m

And here is a screenshot of his position in the race from today, the 28th of December 2021:

Wagered $315m

So this guy found about Stake 8 days ago, wagered like crazy over $300 million, and now after the Christmas giveaway is done and no one (or let's say no genuine account holder) can beat him to win the other $1m race that is ending in a few days - then he decided to stop wagering?

If this is a genuine account then I'd assume the adrenaline, the rush, something might have persuaded him to keep on betting with Stake, as he literally used the site to wager $300 million ... I remind you - you are the one in this thread saying "this user is indeed real" - perhap it's a real Stake employee, which is a real human being being behind the account - I am trying to analyze your words, and what you're trying to convey here.

I'd like to point the readers towards other posts in Stake's forum itself e.g.

https://stakecommunity.com/topic/49609-scale-from-1-10-how-disappointed-were-u-in-the-stake-christmas-promos/page/5/#comment-1020748

"4B wagering in just 3 weeks, that's  bigger than any big time casinos like MGM or Winn.. There are very good investigative videos exposing Roobet's shady practices on youtube. I am sure some federal agency is going to be noticing about this site very soon.."

https://stakecommunity.com/topic/49609-scale-from-1-10-how-disappointed-were-u-in-the-stake-christmas-promos/page/5/#comment-1021488

"Would have been better to actually not give us anything than saying million dollar prize and they open fake account to claim that prize."

https://stakecommunity.com/topic/49607-1000000-christmas-raffle/page/3/#comment-1021201

"aabb123123 came out of nowhere, wagered 315 million in 5 days, won most of the giveaway money and on the way to win the race as well, and suddenly he decided to stop wagering. Also the username kinda give us a idea this account is made intentionally to get the winnings, i mean if some whale made an account to gamble, they would have given a username that made sense other than a random one.. Oh and btw he only placed 6k bets to get that much of a wager and eddie said he cashed out huge. It doesn't add up how and when all of this happen when cashing out after a huge win would require kyc and it would take atleast a week to sort it out as far as i have seen in the past!

"Would have been better to actually not give us anything than saying million dollar prize and they open fake account to claim that prize."

Correct me if i am wrong but this doesn't look alright to me!"

https://stakecommunity.com/topic/49688-aabb123123/

Just read the thread.

Keep digging until the truth comes out.

BTW, I follow a Twitch streamer who is genuine as they come has been waiting over a month for a 30k withdrawl. Stake keeps rejecting his notarized documents. He is in Canada so he didnt have to use crypto. This guy has had some massive tilt issues in the past so it appears they keep stalling him in hopes he chunks off the 30k before they finally verify him.  Seriously a fucking month plus to verify and then keep rejecting legit canadian notarized documents.

People say why would they make their own account but lets be real by having a house account to win the mega race and suction off raffle prizes they saved themselves 400k. Well done Stunna.

I won't say that the user is fake. I used to participate in dice gambling sites Wager contests. Most of the time I saw that I was in the top five or top ten. Before ending the contest, always high rollers show up and they get the grand prize. So, it's not surprising for me. I am used to it. I know some of the high rollers. They don't like to play for a whole week or a whole day. They just want to see the Top players list and how much they wagered, and then high rollers decide if they will try to beat them or not. Sometimes they do and sometimes they don't. The moral is, They don't want to waste their time. They just do quickly what they want to do.

Since we do not have any proof, we cannot blame them directly for it. If you have any proof, you are welcome.

To add more to your kyc point-

user pmmailmate who is ranked 6 with 54 mil wagered was forced to complete kyc-

https://stakecommunity.com/topic/48920-%F0%9F%92%8Ediamond-iii-member-being-forced-to-verify/#comment-1007204

now any reasonable person would assume user aabb123123 would be made to complete kyc as well, having wagered 300mil+.

if so, did stake complete his full kyc in less then few days ?  as compared to more time it would take for a 'normal user'

I've been following on this member who joined Stake around 8 days ago.

did he ever 'stop' wagering before the raffle for 12-24 hours ? if so then i would assume he was put in withdraw only mode just as pmmailmate was , while he passed the kyc.

If aabb123123 never stopped wagering , can we assume he was never made to complete kyc ?

If we assume aabb123123 is a 'real' user , as stake is telling us, either 2 things happened -

1) He registered on december 20 , wagered 314 million in 6 days AND also passed kyc sometime within those 6 days (stake expedited his kyc ?)

2) He registered on december 20, wagered 314 million in 6 days AND never completed kyc

I would vote that (2) is the more likely scenario, in that case how 'gambling responsible' is stake ?

Is stake kyc inhouse or they go through an external company ?

All of the above ofcourse assumes that aabb123123 is not a house account , which is another question in itself

No, They didn't. They didn't have to wager $300 million to win the prize. Suppose the prize was $50000 and no 1 was wagered $1 Million. To win $50K, a High roller needs to wager $1.01 Million. So, Why they have to wager $300 Million?

For more clearance, I am not supporting the casino by saying this. I am just sharing my experience and what I've seen in the last few years in multiple casinos. I think you got my point. No offense at all.

A whale created an account and wagered $300 million over a couple weeks and then won the wager race and wager based raffle.

Is there some sort of evidence that this isn't what happened?

If not, this shouldn't be in scam accusations.  There are people with crypto worth ungodly amounts of money.  6,500 btc is worth about $300 million.  A few years ago there were people wagering 6,500 btc at a time.
