A whale created an account and wagered $300 million over a couple weeks and then won the wager race and wager based raffle.
Is there some sort of evidence that this isn't what happened?
The user wagered above $300 million within 5 days after joining at Stake. Then he won the first prize of raffle on 25th December. OP created the accusation as the whale took a break (stopped placing bets) after wagering the huge amount in first few days and won the raffle prize. But it wasn't the end actually. The whale wagerd more than $700 million during the race time. It means, the user wagered $400 million more after the raffle draw. If it was a fake user then he wouldn't wager more after 25th December. Because he has ensured the first rank and other users wager wasn't even close to his wager.

I'm not going to consider this as a scam accusation. This is just a suspicion from those people who had a lot of expectation from this $1 million raffle. And it was meant to be, because people were expecting something after wagering a decent amount (more than $50k or $100k). But most (more than 99% user) of them got nothing from the raffle draw.

He won 3 times $5k a few days ago:

https://stakecommunity.com/topic/49954-50000-giveaway-winners-30/

There is nothing stopping this account from wagering more and more.
The question is if this account is genuine? And no one could answer it.

Is this a scam being run by Stake? Who knows ... they do have a lot of genuine activity so in some way we need to give them the benefit of the doubt, however all those recent "winnings" by this user are raising some flags.

How to take it from here?
There is no way how to take it from here.
The info was given, but no one could really tell if what happened with this $1m giveaway was 100% ok or not.

~snip~
If a user collect thousands of tickets by wagering millions of dollars then he will obviously have the higher chance (more than once) to win prizes from the raffle draw. Well, there is no way to prove whether the user is genuine or fake. But Stake have lots of big whale now. No one can deny this fact. And they are running huge giveaways and promotions to attract big players and keep them active. Why they will run fake giveaway! There are also many normal bettors who winning prizes from those raffle and races.

I want add another thing here. User DeepPockets6 has won the second prize from the $1 million race, he joined Stake at 28th December. He is a well known gambler and I have seen that username (DeepPocket...) at Stake or at other casino before. He is really an old big gambler (probably this is his new account at Stake) and he is playing crazily at Stake since last few days. Don't be surprised if you see his name in the next weekly raffle draw few many times.

Lately, crypto gambling activity has increased significantly. Try to observe it at every casino that how much betting activity was there one year ago and how much it has increased now. I believe you are aware of this, as you run an affiliate marketing website. We have to accept these activities without being surprised.

It's a crypto casino, you want them to dox the guy or what?

The fact is any casino that runs a wager race could get away with rigging it with fake accounts.

You can't just open a scam accusation because you can't prove a promotion isn't a scam, it diminishes accusations where there's actual evidence that a scam occurred.

To a certain extent you're right, there is no hard evidence here, but there is none each way, so it remains vague and maybe we shall leave it this way.

If no one has any objection then I'd get this thread locked, would leave it for another 24-48h to see if anyone has any further additional comments to make and if not - would lock this thread.

You have to take into consideration Stake is the biggest crypto casino, probably the biggest casino in the world period when it comes to how much is wagered there on a regular basis.  When you count Prime Dice, they've been around longer than anyone, will process withdraws for hundreds of thousands USD instantly and millions in minutes.  They are obviously making a shitload of money, which makes the thought of scamming someone even for tens of millions of dollars a dumb idea.

Basically, if you want to gamble for millions, there are really only a few options where you don't have to worry about running up a balance so big that the casino would have to decide between going bankrupt and scamming you.  Stake is one of them.

You also have to consider that the people with these ridiculous amounts of crypto likely don't want their identity known.  That includes both their real life identity and online.  Think of how many click bait articles would be written the second anyone confirmed who they were.  If they want to gamble big, it make perfect sense for them to just hop from new account to new account and it makes perfect sense for stake to allow them to do that.  I wouldn't be surprised if the AABB account owner is done with that account already.

You also have to put the amount of money in perspective.  Stake knows how much their players are going to gamble in general, they structure the payouts so that everyone gets somewhere between a few hundredths and a few tenths of a percent of their wager back.

Think of it this way:
(Edit: I did some stupid math initially and my numbers were off by either a decimal or a comma, just went and fixed them)
Weekly boost is a .1% refund on your total wager. $1 for every $1k wagered.
Second and third place in the race paid $120k and $80k.
The players that finished second and third wagered over $120 million.
That means that during that period, they each were paid over $120k just in weekly boosts.

The 10th place racer received almost $50k in weekly boosts before getting his $10k race prize.  And remember, you don't just get weekly boosts.  There's monthlies and reloads and other bonuses as well.

Point is, the money looks huge to us normal people, but when you put things in perspective, the race prizes are peanuts, which is why accusing Stake of some elaborate scam so they can steal a few hundred k from players they regularly bonus millions is ridiculous.

your calculation is totally wrong
first  0.01%   1$ for every 10k
so i think you did mean   0.1% refund on wager  like the rakeback so its gonna be 1$ for every 1000$ wagered .

secondly  if a person wagered 120m$ it means  he gonna get 120k on weekly boost

if it was 0.01% as you said then they will just get  12000$ for 120m$ wagered

Fuck me, you're right.  I was off on both ends. Fixed.

Even with my numbers being 10x off, pretty much everyone is still going to be receiving more in weekly, monthly and reloads than whatever prize they ended up winning in the race even if you move them up one spot, and when you add up each players regular bonuses and race prize, that number is going to be at least ~ %0.2 of total wager and less than 1% of total wager, which is the magic number that keeps the house edge in stakes favor.  That's what these raffles and races really are: Stake returning a piece of the house edge.

even with all the bonuses if the players plays on 1% edge i don't think the bonuses will cover 1% edge unless they are lucky .
or if they play on Blackjack which is 0.48% edge then there will be a break even if they follow a strategy to keep the edge at 0.48%  also it needs a lot of time as there no auto play on Blackjack

That is definitely suspicious but you or me and no one can prove it so we should just let it go :/

Per stake TOS , this point doesnt apply

https://stake.com/policies/anti-money-laundering

"Withdrawal Threshold KYC. Additionally, and independently, every account, wherever or with whomever associated, will be suspended until adequate KYC diligence occurs once that account reaches a withdrawal threshold dependent on the accounts risk characterisation over the life of the account."

Now how much of that stake is implementing , is another question

But, per that rule, stake is NOT anonymous friendly casino anymore.

I know people who have been limited and forced to kyc, this was on sports , however there no separate rules for casino and sports on stake, for now

There's a difference between a casino knowing the identity of a player and the players identity being public.  Eddie knows who the player is, he said so during a stream.  Changing accounts is an effective way to prevent the public from figuring out who you are.  Especially if you're a known figure in the crypto community.

The only shady thing stake is doing would be their multi account policies. Having streamers say, on live stream, that they gamble on different accounts to have "different seeds" while regular players get banned for doing so as it breaks their ToS is shady. Streamer benefits but as far as this user goes it's probably just trainwrecks or roshtein, lol.

add to it the streamers get sponsored money it means like fake money in the challenges and races they all get first places while gambling with fake money  it will restored when the balance reach 0 instead they just keep a part of the win per the contract with the casino
some streamers revealed such shady things
so imagine you gamble your own money in a a race while a streamer use fake or sponsored money and get firs places

Streamers are working as an employee of Stake to promote the platform. And you should notice that Stake includes a rule in all of their promotions like this “Stake employees can not participate the challenges/giveaways”. Eddie doesn't pick any of their affiliated streamers in the weekly raffle draw. Have you seen any of those streamers names on the leaderboard of wagering competition? I have asked Stake support about this and they replied

sure i have seen . all of the hidden first ones in race is streamers who their balance get refilled after reaching 0 .
how about Foss? only way we know is from last raffle as they had to show the names . is stake has a system that exclude streamers from participating in races ? i dont think so as even Eddie when he does a stream and play he shows in the race
Foss always there but his account hidden only way to find out go see raffle results he won a lot of prizes in same draw

Not going to keep bumping this thread, but you're just making stuff up now.  I know for a fact that there are players who don't stream, have their stats hidden and finished towards the top of the last big race.
