I had 4 Avalon 841 in work, when a problem with electricity happened( I believe it came high voltage). 6 PMU boards were burned(3 Avalon 841), the last Avalon 841 didn't had any issue.

I bought 6 new PMU and changed them, neither one of 841 worked(all hashboards were showing code 131073)
I thought maybe the new PMU were broken, so I putted the hashboards to the working 841 one by one and none worked.

Can it be that the electricity problem burned all 6 hashboards at the same time?

Is there any other way to check the hashboard health like measuring the voltage or resistance like in Antminer?

Any help is appreciated.

Maybe the MM board is broken? Can you try with a surely working MM board?

How does the pmu voltage measurement values look like in the cgminer api log?

Can you post the log here? (please insert it inside code tags, it's the #-button in the message panel.)

Maybe I wasn't clear. I have aworking 841 left that it is hashing. This means that the PMU and the MM board works at the working one. I have putted the 12 hashboards of the 3 broken 841 in batches of two(hashboard #0 and hashboard #1) to the working one, leaving hashboard #2 and hashboard #3 in the working 841, and I get ECHU ( 131073 131073 0 0) which means the #0 and #1 hashboard doesnt work. And the unit hashing at around 7 Th/s.
(Will upload log as soon as I go to the farm).

Now that I read all through again, it may be that the hash boards are all toasted

Do you know HagssFIN, does Canaan has any instructions how to measure the Voltage or Resistance (and the references) of the chips( like in Antminers) to know if they are broken, or any other way to check the status of hashboard?

I don't know, I never studied and bought tools for board-level repairs.

Maybe ask companies like Canaan or Zeusbtc about board-level repairs?

ZeusBTC doesn't have a guide for this unit and I can't find any hashboard diagram for Avalon 841.

Why not try to compare the two hashboard that you know working and the broken one?

I don't know what exactly this unit hashboard looks like but I think you can follow the tracks on that hashboard and compare the resistance between the good and bad hashboard.

That's right, I checked at Zeus too and on the internet and couln't find any information for A841.

I have bought the bundle kit from Zeus for repairing Antminers but seems I can't use for Avalon. It is weird that no information is provided for these type of miners. Also here it's difficult to find someone who has information for these boards. Will contact Canaan to see if they could provide any information.

Meanwhile will try to figure out the how the signal works comparing the good and the broken one.

 Thanks guys anyway Smiley.

That's scary, shouldn't the PSU take the hit if the voltage was too high/low? I don't have the knowledge required to judge this matter but I have experienced voltage spikes/drops in my farm and the result have been for the most part a dead PSU, the quality of the PSU could be the key here so make sure you confirm this matter and perhaps get a different PSU for the good unit before it's broken.

The resources on Avalon repair are almost non-existent, but here is a good telegram group https://t.me/MinerRepairChat try asking there.

The PSU(s) *should have* been the only thing damaged but - thing is, like all other miners from its day it uses banks of PCIe plugs to supply power and what kind of PSU was used matters a lot. Could be anything from a 'real' PC PSU to something using the HP common-slot style or even old IBM server PSU's. In short - we need more info as to what setup was used.

The only thing I can think of that would take out the PMU's and even hash boards would be if multiple PSU's were feeding each miner or multiple PSU's feeding multiple miners but incorrectly wired.

Key point is that preferably each miner is powered by 1 PSU feeding both PMU's on a miner. If using 2 small PSU's, only connect 1 PSU per PMU -- the PSU's cannot be connected together!
That leads to using multiple PSU's tied willy-nilly to multiple miners. I've seen folks who simply used all the PCIe plugs on a large PSU to feed a bank of miners and just connect the next PSU to a miner when they ran out of plugs - in short - they ended up having some PSU's running in parallel on a couple miners and yes they fried a couple PMU's in the process...

Each miner was connected with 1 Bitmain APW3++.
None of the PSU's were damaged. I have dissambled the hashboards 1 by 1 and in 2 hashboards while measuring the resistance and voltage, 2 chip's in each one don't have the values like the other ones. As for the other hashboards the chip's values seems to be ok, i am checking the other componments but no luck. As you said it is very difficult to find resources on Avalon miner repair, and I am relying only in my knowledge from S9 repair.
