I have got to realize that if you are to be able to rank up easily in this forum, you are supposed to be creating a new topic on btt boards (depending on your post). Your post is supposed to be well educative, knowledgeable and interactive to all.

Totally wrong. If you are here in this forum to learn about bitcoin and other cryptocurenncy, you are supposed to create a thread every time you are in need of a helping hand and that's how a forum works. Rank us is a benefit offered by the forum, nothing else. satoshi is supposed to be a Sr member only but no one remembers him for the rank but for his works.
Use the forum to learn, you will achieve the rank easily.

It is about passing valuable messages. You will get merits if you write something that helps others. It doesn't matter if you start a new topic or reply to an existing one. It is more important that you are constructive in your contributions.

Focus more on learning. Creating posts isn't a guarantee to ranking up. If you must be considering ranking up faster you should focus on solving problems and giving solutions to critical threads. Many users stay long enough on the forum without ranking up not because the don't create new topics but most times those topics aren't meritable

You did not get it wrong;
For the fact that another person is right does not make you wrong.
Quality topic creators gain more merits especially for lower-ranked members.
For you to gather merits from replies you have to;
1. To be timely, atleast be the first 3 people to reply.
2. To be knowledgeable such that your replies are always correct
3. You have to be readily available in the forum in order to follow up threads.
When I was a newbie I created many topics and most if not all of them got merited.

Generally, apart from creating topics, you can grow faster as a lower-ranked member if you do any of the below;
1. Burst scam always
2. Report or detect plagiarism
3. Find and report ban evaders
In a nutshell, for you to experience a rapid growth in the forum, you must find a way of giving to the forum.

These are what I recently observed
Each of every one of us wants to rank up someday but don't know how long it will take or go about it

Who really are you passing out this message to, I think you are getting it all wrong first you can rank up without creating unnecessary post like you just did, some people rank of even down to services they render or even a charitable donations, if you haven't ranked up, then your observations are obviously failing you then why are you still advicing other on it, I suggest respectfully you take you time to try out new things like reading hard before you post.

Getting merits and ranking up should be a something that happens because of your activity on the forum, in whatever shape or form. So I wouldn't stress about how to go about it, just be an active member and things will come.

Do not feel bad about sharing your thought. There is nothing wrong in posting a different opinion from the crowd. To some extent I agree with you. Apart from that EZOO10 post that has gotten alot of merits and that is because of what happened and how he returned bitcoin that was wrongly transferred to him, most posts receiving lots of merits are those starting threads. I can say it is because posts starting threads are very easy to see than regular reply comments

But keep in mind that being helpful while you are still here should be more important than plotting of ranking up.

Generally speaking, thread starters earn a lot of merits. In many cases, they will be rewarded more than those who reply in their threads. But that's not always the case. The thread needs to be of a good quality. It can be interesting, unique, tackle a problem in a different way, solve a certain issue, etc.

However, if the OP contains wrong information, lies, incomplete data, plagiarism, is badly written with wrong grammar, and is just ugly-looking, those who find mistakes, make corrections, and suggest ways to make it better are the members who will get the majority of the merits. Not everyone knows or wants to create interesting threads. But they can still provide good feedback and they know how to get their message across.

Many members in this forum receive high amount of merits for things that doesn't require a perfect understanding of Bitcoin. Scam busting and reporting for example. Or those who search and find plagiarism or create stats, reviews, etc.

You need to stick to your strengths, and do the best you can. If the community notices that you made an effort in whatever you wrote or created, you will be awarded with merits.
