This is the second one I am coming across a similar site to get reported here and I am sure this will not be the last one masquerading as the name of Meta makes headlines in the news.

Those who are reading this, you can report the website to the domain registrar (NameSilo in this case) - this is the only thing we can do on our part other than making people aware of such scams are possible more scams in future.

If you are reading this while having visited the above site form some random telegram messages, be warned because there has been no such ICO from Meta and you will get scammed of your money.

Ordinary people know that if any giant company launches their ICO/IDO or any other project, They will announce it officially. These scammers don't have common sense or a sense of humor. Facebook will only take action when the ads are reported they don't have a screening process on these ads, this is misleading they think that Facebook launched this project because it is being advertised in their own portal, but any news about Facebook should not be posted as ads they can just post it as announcement and Mark can post it in his own profile, people should use common sense when checking facts get it straight in the horse's mouth

If they spend money just for promotion on Facebook, it means that there have been many victims so they have the capital to act again, to be honest I also often find advertisements on Facebook about selling their META tokens but for sure this is clearly a fraud and there are even some promotional advertisements that are above. name the famous product apple or amazon.

That's the worst part. Almost no platform monitors the advertiser's project and they don't care about it. Look at this one, The scam project created a coin named Meta coin and they tried to use Facebook's reputation to gain trust and the worst part is they using Facebook ads and Facebook doesn't know about it. Either the Ad was auto-activated or Facebook's employees didn't notice that (I am not aware of how Facebook ads works). It's something like you digging the boat's floor and you paying them for that. And The boat owner happily allowed you to do that.

I was surprised when I saw even this scam site open on Facebook. It's not about ads only, I don't know how that is possible to manage but their site opens on Facebook inside and looks like the real site. This would definitely mislead newbie investors who aren't well aware of the crypto scam. However, creating awareness would help at least forum newbies.

These scammers have done it on Libra they will also do it in Metaverse, people are aware that Facebook has an intention to create its own coin and many people are waiting for that to happen but scammers are quick to sell this to people, and they are utilizing Facebook ads to scam people
if we stumble this on Facebook and we know that this is a bogus project be sure to report it, like Google they are not going to take action unless reported, it's unfortunate that Facebook prioritizes profit over the financial safety of their users by checking all the ads that they are showing to users.

Surprisingly I saw their ads on Facebook and it's crazy that Facebook allow this ads on their platform since many will think that this is legitimate and not a fake one. So maybe it's good to report it since it could save people to get scam on scammers using the new introduce project of Facebook. Also good to see this warning since it will somehow take the confusion out on newbie investors.

Well, this is not the first advertise of scamming projecr appeared on facebook.
I reported to facebook moderator a lot of clear scam advertisement (from A-mzon token to M-e-t-a ) but i think facebook is only interested in take money from advertising without any checking of risk about .
