Centralised crypto services are well known for using tools like chainalysis to comply with the authorities, are there any such tools open source and available for general public?

I did some quick looking. It seems that pretty much all similar platforms(Elliptic, CryptoQuant, CipherTrace) has a similar business model as Chainalysis. I'm guessing that it takes some heavy data analysis software that it would be bollocks to make it publicly usable.

You won't find any open-source solution because there is a lot of money to make in this niche.
They all are developed by private companies and they are here to make money, none works for free. Otherwise, they would all be closed and nothing would be developed.

However, if you're on a low budget you can take a look at AMLBot.com. It's a quite good alternative either for the general public as well for companies. I tested it myself and it works perfectly, they use thousands of different sources. There is the API if you need to integrate it into your own stuff

You won't find any service that will do this for free. If you don't want to spend any money, then the best you can do is use various block explorers or tools yourself to try to analyze the links between addresses and transactions and try to track down the information you are interested in yourself.

The best tools I have found to do this are:
https://www.walletexplorer.com/
https://oxt.me/
https://www.breadcrumbs.app/

Perhaps if you tell us exactly what you are trying to do you might get more specific advice.

You can't have full open source chain analysis solutions, because it's also a data harvesting business. They do stuff like running Electrum servers that collect data of Electrum clients, they send dust to publicly mentioned addresses so that the owners might link them with other addresses in the future, they scan social media and so on.

When you are trading on DEX like bisq, hodlhodl there are many different counter-parties, that send you funds. Analysis would be needed on these counter parties to make sure the funds they are sending are not tainted. There has been a case where I received funds from DEX, later tried to exchange it on CEX and received a report that the funds I'm trying to exchange are attached to dark web. A pretty interesting report I received, that's why Im wondering are there any such tools available for public, as it's advanced tool, Im sure it wont be free, but also many of them are exclusively for institution and regulated services.

You might be able to analyze such transactions yourself and pick out the most obvious cases, but you are going to have a very high "miss" rate. Further, you have absolutely no idea what the centralized exchange in question is basing their judgements on, what kind of analysis they are doing, just how "tainted" a coin has to be for them to take issue with it, and so on.

I trade extensively on DEXs, and I have never once had a problem with tainted coins because I do not use any services which believe in such a stupid and arbitrary made up metric.

Your options here are as follows:
  • Do as I do and avoid centralized exchanges altogether
  • If you must use centralized exchanges, stop using any which give you this "tainted coins" nonsense
  • Mix, coinjoin, or swap your coins after receiving them to obfuscate their history

I've got a couple of tools that can also be added to this list:
  • Ethonym[1];
  • Blockchain Tool from EY (Paid)[2];
  • Crystal Explorer[3];
  • Blockpath[4];

There would be no profit for anyone that would release any alternative software that would be open source, and it would than be much easier for good guys to create counter tools against blockchain tracking.
That is why I don't expect ever to see something like this being released because there is no financial incentive, and risk is to big to go with open source development.
You can partially use explorers posted by other members in this topic, and you can check list of all alternative tools for Chainalysis:
