In my opinion first of all there must be some job for you to get involved in that and after that you can try your skills at that point by getting a good profit at that place, and after that try your luck at different jobs which may be better for you and that can also give you a way to finding a great talent in you which you already have I think.
Having a good job can really be a big help to OP after all that frustration I believe though trading with small amount of money is fine at all, this will just depend on the skills of OP and if he can still live without a proper job then why not try? We all know the risk of being greedy but if you don’t do it, who will do it for you? Know your priority OP and decide what’s best for you.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

Why you not looking for a new job in your countries or you could become a freelancer? Coding is one of promising jobs now, even it's depends on your skills and what's software you mastered. You need to have stable income first to cover up your daily expense, trading doesn't guaranteed to earn... it's risky.

Just working to get monthly income and use the rest times to create a bots for trading, what do you think?
Nothing beats out when you do have a day job and its true that coding or programming skills is something advantageous compared into other courses specially now that technology does progress as years goes by

which it is really relevant for this specific kind of skill set for it to be on demand which i could say that it is really worth on finding a job first and make trading as a side income and its true that there would be no

guarantees that you could make profit with trading in constant or daily basis on which if you do rely on it  then it wont really be giving out assurance for you to sustain on.

Considering trading for a living needs a lot of time since trading is not a guaranteed source of income and of course this must be depend on the situation that you have right now, if you can live without main source of income then I think trading is fine.
It is a way to consider that trading could be really difficult for those who never believe themselves and negatively think about its future. if we are in that position, I could really imagine that you made yourself a failure.

If we are to know that we can make a good living in trading, then we have to embrace it. But if not, then we have to keep our job instead. Sometimes we need to sacrifice a thing before we finally reach what is really for us. And actually, I did. It was really hard at first but for the moment that we fully understand the market, trading could be easier after all.

Wow, pretty much all of you completely missed the point of this exercise and got fixated on side notes.  It was a bit of an experiment to see if asking you to put yourselves in someone else's position might be a more fun way of asking and generate more creative answers.

Nope. LOL  I totally asked this wrong.  My apologies.  Grin

I guess everyone missed my reply where I clarified that this isn't some crazy desperation thing from some lost kid.  I seem to have added too many unimportant details and that seemed to confuse everyone and get you all thinking about how scared you would be if you lost your job.

I haven't had a J.O.B. in over 20 years and I don't plan on starting now.  But, I appreciate the concern.  I'm just between projects and I have no funds, other than the small robinhoood win, to work with, to start trading. The bills are paid.  All is good.

The question was whether a newbie (but, one who's obviously not a dummy and can read and learn difficult things better than most) can start trading with robinhood with about a grand USD, as he's, as I"m learning.

Just focus which way can give you a good income mate. infact that skills you have is very common here in space especially when it comes building crypto projects making sites and etc. So better to stick to it. But a friendly reminder wherein make sure you are working with genuine projects and team behind , i mean not those whose paying no value tokens because that's a scam always ask for crypto that has value already to assure your not wasting time working.

If you would, please imagine yourself in the following position. You're a coder so you've been drawn to cryptocurrency since it began But, you were distracted trying to make a living for all this time and never really got a chance to get into it, other than reading the paper describing it and several articles on the topic. You have a general understanding of it so far and you're constantly learning more.

You did manage to find the time to buy into Bitcoin when it was around 11k. But, you were only able to put in about 500 USD.
So your main plan now is to start Crypto currency trading? And from what you have said here it looks like you have no experience at all on how to trade cryptocurrency. So, that is going to be a bit of a challenge for you because trading cryptocurrency is not really an easy stuff to do. It’s not as easy as when you are just an investor and you invest to hold for a long term, in this one you have to learn a lot and know the right strategies to make use of to be able to make profit from the market. You need to have the knowledge of technical analysis.

It is something that you will do with time, and soon you will come to realize that you are good at it. But, like I’ve said it takes time for you to become good at it. If I were you, I’d try to see if there is a way for me to continue my programming for now, and then try to be making out time to learn crypto trading, because where the heck are you going to be getting money to trade, if not through another main source of income?

This is correct, you what to focus on your gift, and improve yourself along the way since you already have the knowledge especially on creating project, you must look for other people that can really help you on this. This might be too risky, but if you can still live without a job then that's fine to take a risk. Trading is also good, you can do this full time but then again it will always depend on your financial capability.

if you already have the expertise like that then it's very easy. but the problem here is that you are broke and out of work.

I think the first thing you should do is find a new job to get enough capital. because investing in bitcoin is not easy to get 2x profit in an instant.

and think about how you meet the daily needs of your family now.

withdraw half your money for real life capital. and half of it for investing in things you aspire to for a long time.

On a skills that do connects out with programing or technology then this is something relevant on todays trend and if you do like to enhance yourself or improve then it is just sensible that you would be finding up
ways on how to improve yourself but if you could able to handle out yourself on doing trades despite of the risk and able to sustain or survive then it isnt a bad idea but dont make it as a main source
of income since we know that market doesnt really give out sure income from time to time.
