Utility and real use case would be the most important thing and no surprise that there are lots of projects who do really claim out like this and like that but in the end they do end up dying.

What promise did btc said? as you've said, it's decentralized and there's no central authority that can make promises and Satoshi Nakamoto has been gone for years now.
It's slow? I don't think so, there are even much slower cryptocurrencies there and they have a higher fee. Bitcoin is good as it is right now and it's the king of the market, and that's a fact.

So damn true, look at how axie infinity right now, they are going down. Price of SLP is going down, it's because there is no utilization of the SLP aside from being used for breeding. And guess what, the supply is infinite, it is going crazy and now the price is totally down. Well to be fair though the biggest advantage that BTC has in comparison to all the other crypto projects out there is simply that Bitcoin was the first ever cryptocurrency. A lot of people that are not involved into crypto still think that Bitcoin = crypto, maybe they have heard about Ethereum but that is pretty much it. In terms of utility BTC is inferior to a lot of projects out there nowadays like Ethereum, Solana, Radix, Polygon so basically to every Ecosystem out there that offers smart chain functionality and still those projects will probably never be able to overtake Bitcoin in terms of total marketcap, which is fine by me. I also agree though that hype is not really important, 99% of those shitty meme-coins will be dead in a few months.

Without hype it is even better and BTC has shown that without the hype growing consistently it may not be to your expectations that seeing many altcoins in the short term can rise very high and unreasonably. It is much easier to use Hype to market your new vaporware as people in this sector are looking for cheap thrills and not something that might be valuable as time passes. Very important, with competition of more than 16k coins and tokens of course very important hype and utility, I believe without hype and utility the coins will die, and many old coins have died because there is no hype and utility.
