And I believe many are well informed by such, and people in general know the consequences of indulging with oneself with gambling. Well, it won’t hurt to discuss it once again, perhaps can also serve as a reminder for all of us, but the bottom line of this is that if one do not have self control then do not try gambling at all.

First is this impression. Not everyone here plays gambling. Or currently play gambling.
They might have played in the past and now have the experience or they just aware of it because of their environment while some are addict.

Some win a lot of money, others lose their life saving and most of us are in no profit no loss situation. We win some and lose some and keep on enjoying the game.
Gambling does have some advantages but also it has its disadvantages. It will be better if the pros and cons of gambling be discussed extensively so people especially the newcomers know what they can expect from gambling.

You have listed some of the pros and cons in gambling already as losses and profit are part of it. What is more is that both the negative and positive both have effect on the player. If the gambler is consistently losing and his life savings is gone, it can lead him or her into depression and depression can lead into other forms of habit that will further worsen the already bad situation, excessive taking of alcohol can be developed , smoking hard drugs also and other illicit dealings of frustrated personality. Also with profiting in gambling, the joy of additional money depending on how much is involved could lead you on euphoria of uncontrollable action that may cause accident especially if you are driving. It is better to do things in moderation.

I will start with a lot of cons if you don't manage to control yourself or lose control of yourself.You risk addiction,can't think clearly and all you think is gambling,if you get these symptoms it means you are ill and need a really quick treatment in order to be healthy again.

Having said that,the thing I like the most if we manage to control ourselves is that when we are playing slot machines there is that chance of 1:100000000000 to win a huge jackpot or to win a really big amount of money,that is what keeps me coming back and playing little money every month,I try to change my life this way although knowing chances are the same as that number above,hope dies last.

The only pros from gambling that person can get is to test (or improve in some way) his math skills, train memory or logic. This wont turn you from basic math skills to being scientist, because there are only 52 card in blackjack and poker deck. But you will start calculating to 21 very quickly   But if we put stress, becoming nervous, addicted on the scale as cons, then gambling is not the best way to train math, memory logic thinking.

This socialization applies to offline casinos but its the best to find new connections. Well to make it short, the biggest pro is definitely that, if you are lucky, then you can make money with, depending on how lucky you are or how much you are willing to bet you can even win life changing amounts of money and that is probably the reason why a lot of people are attracted to gambling or to sports betting. As the first sentence already implies, you can also be unlucky and lose your money. That means it is up to you how much risk you are willing to take. Going all in and risk it all for a life changing win but risking it also that you lose your life savings, or just play with small amounts here and there and if you lose it doesn't really matter. I'm definitely in the second group.

If you want to make money out of gambling then you are already putting yourself at a disadvantage because it's rare to really make money from gambling, you will end up miserable with everything gone because the house edge always wins, you don't need to experiment or try to prove it, but if you want to be entertained and only spend allocated funds that you can afford to lose, you are safe and you can enjoy the game more and if you are lucky you can bring home a good winning.

Gambling is as same as gaming in term of addiction. So if a person is bad at controlling own activities and bad at make plans, schedule and follow them, that person should not gamble or play game. It's better to don't start because it is a good prevention that is better than cure.

Addiction is not easy to end and most of people get addicted will struggle to get rid of addiction. The pandemic and money printing from governments give people more free money. Quarantines, lockdowns give them more time indoors and they have more time to expose to gambling. No stat but I guess they played games or gambled more since the pandemic.

See the thing is, this is the time when people are not financially stable and this is also the time that they are gambling the most. I do think we have to realize that Gambling sometimes is an escape, people wish they would win lotteries and live their life happily. But that doesn't happen and they end up loosing a lot over time. It's a sport, meant to entertain you, should be left at that.

I disagree with any people who consider gambling as a ticket to get richer and to become millionaires or consider it as source of their main income. Gambling is for fun first and in order to make sure if you don't have fun, you don't have terrible ending, you must spend spare money which is small part of your capital, for gambling.

I will not be original and will say that I get only advantages from gambling. I am initially ready to spend a certain amount on this entertainment and I do not go beyond the budget. Therefore, the result always satisfies me - I spend money, but in return I get emotions or an increase in pleasant emotions in the form of money from the victory of my favorite team.
I know people for whom gambling has become a problem, but I think it depends on the person and not on gambling, drinking or something else.

Pro in gambling in my opinion is a game of Chance and for fun or hockey betting, and winning is luck and I play it when I have free time when I feel tired from work.
The cons in gambling can be addictive and that is because you play too much without being able to control yourself because you have the ambition to keep on winning or chasing losses and it is all very self-defeating.

There are already threads before discussing the cons and pros of gambling, but we all have different reasons why we play that even we enumerate numbers of reason why we play we will still on the things we believed and wanted to see, the pros is if we will learn how to win and disciplined enough to play well but if not tand things we decide goes against our plan then it will be the cons we need to handle.

Actually, in terms of benefits, there is no denying that gambling has more negative impacts than positive but the reason why they are still popular is because most of them see a lot of false opportunities there. on the other hand those who are here too (including me) like gambling because for me this is entertainment when I'm not in a good mood or tired at work.

While thinking about the pros of gambling, I also ended up with this result, it looks like gambling has more negative impact since your profit will always depend on luck and of course, you can’t be so lucky every time you gamble. It's a joke I guess. I don't think many people posting here play gambling in reality. But to answer your question I would quote an advantage : gambling helps you to understand what chances/risks and probabilities represent in real life and it helps you to evaluate them in a more accurate way.

How can you say that people on the gambling board are actually not the gamblers? If that is the case, then how come they are so active on gambling boards and have full knowledge of all the gambling techniques, gambling sites, and all such stuff. Do you have any evidence to prove that people here are not actual gamblers.
