Ultimatum as another arrogance of Russia

Putin explains Russia's appeal to the West with an ultimatum on non-adherence to NATO of the post-Soviet countries by concern for security, otherwise Russia will be forced to respond with military actions. Frightened, Western leaders promptly offered to start negotiations in order to solve the problem without resorting to war. Putin agreed, although the ultimatum in principle contained a non-negotiable immediate answer, in the form of "yes" or "no." If the West agrees to Putin's demands, then all the countries that were colonies of Russia will be defenseless against the military aggression that has already begun with the revanchist goal of restoring the Russian Empire within the borders of the Soviet Union, because the ultimatum contains not a word about Russia's obligation to renounce its territorial claims to the countries of the post-Soviet space ... In principle, NATO can and will agree to Russia's demands, but on the condition that Russia renounce its claims to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all countries that have left the Russian Empire.

Regardless of what was agreed in the negotiations, the West needs to know that to believe Putin, it is like entrusting a wolf to guard a flock of sheep. Using the example of how Putin reacted to the Budapest Memorandum, concluding any agreement with a liar is a deliberately hopeless business.

Countries of NATO don't trust Russia, they're aware of that. The West doesn't trust Russia, they're aware of that. There's a bit of a mutual understanding that whatever happens with Ukraine, including any concessions made about whether they join NATO or not, that any sort of war with Russia isn't worth it.

Can you blame them -- does Europe or the US really care what happens to Ukraine? They surely didn't do much when Crimea was annexed, the world sat and watched. The US routinely sends military aid, but that isn't going to do anything, Ukrainian military is too weak, and it is in their own interest to avoid a significant military conflict.

Reality has shown the opposite. The Ukrainians did not allow the Russians to carry out a blitzkrieg. The people of Ukraine are desperately fighting against the invaders. Seeing this, the West decided to help Ukraine in its struggle for freedom. The West realized that the defeat of Ukraine would put the world in front of a great danger, the same one that came from Nazi Germany. Today, this role is played by Putin's Russia.

That was a bunch of Nazis, hired with US dollars. It worked a little, but since Russia is so hateful of Nazis, they are settling down to make this a real war. The funny thing is, they won't know for a fact that all the Nazis have been taken down until they completely overrun the Ukraine.

The smart thing Ukraine really needs to do now (rather than later) is surrender, before they are completely done away with by Russia. And both Ukraine and Russia need to kick the US and her Nazis out of the whole area so they both can get along with life.

From the words of Putin: "whoever calls names, so they call." Putin's Russia is a Nazi state, which, like Hitler's Germany, will be defeated. And Putin, as a criminal, will be tried by an international tribunal.

I think the what is causing this problem of president Putin is because of the problem of Ukraine and Russia if they settle the matter with immediate effect I don't think that putin as a president of Russia we have another challenge or another problem from any place at all for his own wisdom he's supposed to know that many nation rise against you because of the problem of Russian and ugly so let them cut it off to avoid problem coming from different country that is my own opinion but I have to say

Except for one major thing. If you look at the thousands of Youtube videos, and others, that are coming out of Russia these days, you see free people, living colorful lives.

With the fall of the Soviet Union, everybody realized that you can't make a Stalin form of government work. That's why we have freedom in Russia, now.

The Ultimatum was simply Russia responding to the threat of the US, which seems to have taken up forms of Communism (so far mostly an abundance of pure lies rather than formal military Communism) as their method to control the world.

What are you suggesting? That criminals in prison don't want freedom?

It doesn't make sense for Putin to let some people out of prison to make Youtube videos that often bash Russia a little, just so they look free.

It seems to be an all or nothing kinda thing for you, doesn't it.

Well, thank you for clarifying yourself.

Since you like the word "if," you show that the things you say are "ifs." And this means that they are "maybe's," "possibilities," "could be's," and that you don't really know if anything you are talking about is fact or not.

Then you prove it by suggesting that I said something in a video, and/or that Putin is afraid of people filming. Do you know this to be fact? If so, how do you know it?

And what does all that have to do with envying Putin's position or not?

You seem to have a script that you read from, and then just babble along about stuff that isn't even in the script. It's okay, though, that you do this. It simply brings out into the open that you know far less about the things you speak of than you want people to think.

Nobody minds, really. The forum can be a place to blow off steam at times. But if this is the real you, go see a psychiatrist before it's too late for you.

Russia's ultimatums are working... especially regarding Western Europe. Gasoline prices are coming down in the US. Maybe nobody will be sending much more money or armament to Ukraine.

It should be interesting to watch as the Ukraine military dries up. I wonder where Zelensky has decided to move, real quick-like, when the whole thing drops out from under him. Does the Ukraine have any submarines that can take him to Argentina like Hitler at the end of WW2? LOL.

Why The West Is Easing Its Sanctions On Russia

The EU has already added exemptions to its sanctions to reduce disruptions to essential goods, while the U.S. is now pushing an oil price cap instead of an embargo.

More recently, it seems that the UK is increasingly hesitant about joining the oil insurance ban despite its significant market share in the industry.

If you ask a random EU official if the bloc should continue trying to punish Russia for its invasion of Ukraine, you will invariably get a positive answer.

The sanction potential is reaching its end, but this is no reason for the EU to relieve the pressure, that official will say, as many have in conversations with the media.

And yet, the EU has quietly begun to unwind its sanctions against Moscow.

Yes, Zelensky does not have a submarine, unlike Putin's killer, but the fact is that he will not need one. But Putin has nowhere to run, he is not expected anywhere and his future is unenviable.
