true, this clearly illustrates something real at that time, where bitcoin is not something very valuable compared to the value of $, because there are still many who prefer to get $ than bitcoin. I did some digging and it seems that out of the four players that were supposed to receive a consolation prize of 25BTC each ^{[worth $41.75 at the time]}, one of them ^{[Szikszai "Sziky" Miklós]} didn't take it ^{[source - not sure for the other three]}!

• Judging by the content of "this thread", I believe "BTCsportsbet.com ^[archived]" was responsible for those BTCitcoins.

I just wonder how he would have felt during the ATH of 2017 or even before when those 25 coins would have been worth around $450k+  This just shows how insignificant people saw Bitcoin then and dint believe in it but it is a whole different story now.

all no one knows about bitcoin until now, looking at flashbacks 10 years ago bitcoin was nothing, but now bitcoin has value even though it is experiencing such terrible turmoil, it can't be said that the loser is actually only sincerity in holding bitcoin as the winner

In my case, I was still young and I don't have any resources to investigate the internet at my home at that time so it's not really my fault that's what I'm telling myself to avoid those frustrating feelings that have been hunting me for years, all because I didn't take the chance to search well. Unlike others who took it as a joke when they had the chance to acquired it from faucets for free or bought it for lowest price but they denied it and laugh it out loud until they became the clown today.

But there is no need to investigate back then , we have just need to trust using a small amount , because 10 years ago the price of bitcoin is just like our daily allowance for school so if we really wanted to profit we will just need to keep a day per week and hold for 10 years.
I remember the teenager that did a path with His parents when he invested in Bitcoin, after several years he becomes a Millionaire lol.

Yeah, your point is definitely right. Some years ago, we didn't think that Bitcoin would be such valuable. Price of Bitcoin is a big amount but what if we think about future? May be some years later it can be gain 10x from current value.

If I were in that position at that time, I would probably also expect the same, being in the first place. It means high enough at that time.
But, if I am a lover of innovation, I would always honor and thank Bitcoin although only in that 8th place. No one in those positions may know the future, the future of the dollars, the future of Bitcoin. If anybody knows exactly the future, they will probably prefer to be in the 5-8 positions. But, it is such a normal thing that what is worthy right now doesn't mean worthy at the past time. What is worthy at the past time doesn't mean as worthy as now.

When bitcoin has reached the level of adoption as a currency widely, it will reduce its price volatility and may not be as high as expected. So far the investment and trading interest has caused the price to continue growing until it hit ATH $69K a few months ago.

I don't think bitcoin will go any higher if in the future its adoption has taken place in different countries. When volatility is reduced then prices will probably be much more stable and this is also the case with speculation. If you find that my assumptions are wrong, then feel free to correct me. We know bitcoin is used more as a trading and investment asset than as a currency in real life, this has affected the demand and supply needed by traders to make a profit. Different things will be felt if bitcoin is dominated as a means of payment or currency.

To me I still cry 😭 for not following my mentor who then told me to buy little quantity of it, though then I have little knowledge about the forum. Most times I came to read some articles about it but friends around kept telling me not to focus my efforts on online stuff etc.

A few years back, I think in around 2012 I also made about 10 BTC from online gaming and doing some micro tasks but wasn't having that much courage to hold those Bitcoins and sold them right when I got those coins thinking the market is good and I have got a decent return ony time doing those tasks, but now when I see those transactions I go in regret as to why I sold those coins such early, if I would have hold on to those coins I would have made millions of dollars.

That's only if those people who do able to held up their coins for too long or in decades time which you would totally regret if you had missed out and that's why its better not to look back

or you would really be ending up on frustration when you do see that you had failed on becoming a millionaire.Most likely those players had able to sell those coins earlier

since they would really be looking after for an assured price into that moment.
