Quora Bengali is killing bitcoin

Does it sound stupid? I was really surprised to see the answers of different questions on quora.com in Bengali language on Bitcoin. It was my surprised how poorly some people have criticized bitcoin and got so many upvote for them.
There was no downvote at all for such ridiculous answer even. And the most important part is that some of the ridiculous answer was from a University Professor from our local.
What can I do to get them down? I wouldn’t give it a shit if the criticize was logical but it was not logical even. It was a wall of text and people upvoted. Nothing else in the answer.

If I remember correctly, when I was researching Bitcoin back then in 2016 Quora is pretty much 80% against, with like 20% pro. Thankfully I didn't base my entire opinion on Quora answers back then.

As for what we can do, as far as I know the only thing you can do is to respond to the poor answers. How bad were the questions/answers anyway?

It's not just Quora. There are a lot of online discussions that are anti-bitcoin / crypto.
You see it pop up a lot in the Yahoo finance discussions, and a lot in other financial places.
Look for where and I hate to generalize but, older more conservative people are on the internet.
New things scare them, they don't understand and they don't want to understand so it becomes an echo chamber of what they were taught decades ago and that is all they will ever know.

People who come looking for answers in Quora would still seek answers elsewhere. It's not as if Quora is a complete website that always gives the correct answers. Sure it may affect the opinions of lots of people, but over time opinions change once people learned more about a certain topic that they are having strong opinions on. Besides, bitcoin is still doing fine despite the mudslinging that has been constantly happening in the background for years, and bitcoin having a troubled reputation on these forums isn't something new.

If poeple think so, that's it, and I'm not surprised at all, it would be far more surprising to see more positive than negative reviews, remember that for poeple who are spending most of their time on crypto forums and are invested in them it seems weird to see others have a different opinion. It's like electric car fans that come out of tesla forums begin amazed how many poeple are still talking about gas engines and tunning them 
Another proof we're just at the beginning of the journey and surveys with 20-30% of people using crypto is just ridiculous.

What can I do to get them down?

What do you mean to get them down? Have them removed? I hope not, censorship is bad no matter how you look at it, everyone is free to voice his opinion, even if you agree or you dislike it.
What you can actually do is reply to the questions or try to engage in comments with the ones replying and point out their mistakes. That's all you can do and that's all we should do.

Just ignore them. Such closed-minded people have been criticizing bitcoin and spreading misinformation for years but they failed to stop it.
However, if you have some spare time and you have good knowledge about bitcoin especially on the technical and economic aspects then you can challenge them and debunk their allegations. But don't expect much, from a personal experience, it will be like talking to a brick wall.

There's nothing much you can do about it. It's like coming across a YouTube video that is anti Bitcoin or spreads a lot of misinformation about Bitcoin. You may try to dislike it or make a comment about the actual facts, but that's all you can do.

The thing about Bitcoin is that unlike the centralized shitcoins. There is no money put to advertise it. So you will see all those paid news articles trying to discredit Bitcoin while shilling the shitcoins at the same time.

In 2011, some random fella advised everyone to buy bitcoin atleast for a dollar but what everyone said is against his advice later the video went viral in YouTube at 2021 and people commenting that why YouTube didn't recommend me when is posted by the creator. You can be the difference here, create your own account on Quora and start giving logical explanations to the questions where you feel the answers till date are inadequate. This can be tiring and time consuming and at times it is also better to leave them do what they wish to do because their loss is your gain in such assets.

At the same time, try to build up your own community among the Bengali users from your country. You cannot remove someone's view because you think it to be incorrect - you would be trying to suppress free speech, instead you point out their fallacies and show others their real motives. Older people like red-pilled professors lack knowledge about tech and they are very careful about money because of past experiences, it is not their fault that they became idiotic, but the condition they lived through.

However this problem exists in every section of the population. I feel being selfish and silent about your own assets is often useful too, but there are others things to do too.

Building people's opinions depends largely on the voice of the majority, for example, if the first comments (especially from famous people) are negative, you will find most of the responses below them are negative, and so on.
Some people criticize many things, the last of which is the issue of vaccination, but spreading awareness requires more time.

You can reply on that question where there are those negative answers about bitcoin. But it's okay to just ignore them, we really can't please everybody but I understand the frustration you have upon reading those because they're probably misinforming your local folks about their answers.
It's not surprising that there are those against bitcoin that are professionals like professors, I've talked to one a few years ago and the same with a banker and they're all against it but I don't know right now, maybe they've changed hands since they've probably saw the bull run.

Let them do it. You can't really prevent people from writing over the Internet. You can only reply to them and explain the reality. It doesn't really kill Bitcoin though it's spreading misinformation. There are always a few people against Bitcoin, whether they don't know it very well, or they just don't like it for any reason. But no one stops Bitcoin. Same like forum we can't prevent posting against Bitcoin but we can reply to them with appropriate answers.

Welp. Salute to you for your effort into creating a response, but I'm afraid if those kinds of answers are getting upvoted to the roof, then it's going to be very unlikely for anyone to change their minds.

Quora's changed in the last couple of years -- it's definitely very pro Bitcoin and crypto. The most viewed answers in finance now are in crypto.

But the caveat is the bulk of Quora profiles are spambots trying to game SEO. Take a look at even the most viewed answers and they're crap. Very, very few are actually to the average standards of this forum. If you think the altcoin section here is bad, Quora is a madhouse.

Not saying Quora's shit, but it's pretty shit for Bitcoin. Those Bengali posters you're talking about? Believe me, they're blackhat SEO bots and doing the same crap in other topics. It's not a fight worth your time.

Why do you care? People found the professor's answers logical that's why they upvoted them. If the professor was wrong, those who upvoted his posts will also suffer for being wrong. In the end bitcoin will do its thing no matter what they think or do. There are hate posts for everything on the internet. You simply cannot do anything to take them all down. I say, give up.

I'd say it will take a good amount of arguing on the internet to realize that you should stop trying to convince everyone. I've also had my fair share of arguing with idiots on Reddit back in the day. Some people are just more passionate than others concerning Bitcoin, I guess.

I find it useless, because on the internet, anybody can speak of anything and this is the root cause behind misinformation on many topics to those who dont look for answers in topics that needs professional input. This leads to a lot of fake cures and charlatans promoting them. Many pseudo-science topics and propaganda only exist in the internet because that is what started it.

You cant argue with an idiot. You can only argue when the other side is giving evidence to support their claim. In Reddit or any social media it is exactly zero.

It is like trying to move a mountain. Reddit being the breeding ground for conspiracy theories and all, I never look into it for any investment knowledge or even worse, advice.

If I had to guess, I would say there are a fairly small number of ycombinator srtartups that are related to crypto. So there is an obvious conflict of interest.

I am not sure why people in Bangladesh (on Quora) are against bitcoin. I have never found Quora particularly credible, even if it does have a good google ranking. It is not possible to comment on or refute an individual answer, so answers that "sound" good or "sound" right will get upvotes.

Although the scope of questions that can be asked is much smaller, I would recommend stackoverflow over Quora.
