Hi thereSo i recently bought a mining rig with the following configuration, running on windows with MSI Afterburner and nicehash miner2x 1080ti

2x 1080

1x 2070

1x 3060

after days of trying to figure out why it kept crashing/ or immediately crashing after enabling ETHLargementPill, i went and manually on each card spent time overclocking by +25 a piece

i noticed on the 1080ti, Asoon as i went past around +500 the Power shot from 175W to 1000W and crashed the rig

I assume the same happens when i enable EthEnlargerPill that it OC'd or boosts the card memory past 500MHz and then causes power to spike to 1000W and crash the rid or PowerSupply

any suggestions on why this might be happening, It sucks not running EthEnlargerPill and OC'ing my rig properly>>

1. When you use the pill, dont oc the memory.

2. You can try simplemining, its very easy. Free for a while as a new account.

There's something wrong in your rig, 1080ti can't handle 1000w, so it's probably a bug

Which PSU are you using?
It's important, because your entire system is using probably 1000w

But you can try to use miners out of nicehash, try T-rex miner for example or NBminer
And another thing, maybe your card can't handle more than 500+ overclock ans crashes because of that

I understand correctly that you have 6 video cards and a 1000 watt power supply?
This is a very large load for this power supply. If you doubt EthEnlargerPill, then take measurements with a wattmeter.Or disable one 1080ti video card from the mining farm.

2x 1080ti and 2x 1080? That's a big number of power consumption for a 1000 watt power supply you won't mine in peace mate upgrade your power supply or risk letting the PSU get burnt

I have 2 power supplies, I don't think the power supply is the issue, i think i have a 600W and a 1000W, The problem is when overclocking, I can obviously see all the stats , so my power consumption goes from 170W to 1000W when i only increase my card by 25MHz from 500 - 525 MHz via overclocking

I cannot just use ETHPillenlarger because it crashes my rig (causes the 1080ti to go over 1000W and then automatically crashes)

here is a link to my console
https://ibb.co/6Brq91k

it goes from 175W to 1000W when i try get 0.2 more MH/s.. which obviously overloads something

I see in your console showing 1000w, but it's probably a bug, your card can't consume 1000w, not even for a second

But try what I advise you, change the miner to T-rex or NBminer and see how it goes, I don't like the solutions offered by nicehash anymore

With these new miners, and updated, they have ETH Pill integrated, so try a new miner first

Another thing to do, you can update windows, re-install drivers and try again

Only one 1080ti or both?

Remove all the other GPUs, try a different miner.

So i have an update, i took the advice and downloaded t-rex, hooked everything up

asoon as i run the command --mt 1

my gpu #4 crashes (1080ti) and then follwing up my rig crashes

so this would be a problem with my card correct>? is there anyway to fix this.. would pumping the powerlimit up to 80-100% help??
or should i leave it at 0 and do --mt 1,1,1,0,1,1

thanks for all your help so far

If it has a quality power supply, then the power supply is safe. The protection will permanently turn off the power supply if the power consumption limit is exceeded.
But there are risks that the wires will melt if the load is exceeded.

It's probably the card, yes

would pumping the powerlimit up to 80-100% help??
You can try, but I don't think you'll keep 80 to 100 power limit to mining

or should i leave it at 0 and do --mt 1,1,1,0,1,1

I need to say it's hard to know what's the problem you have, but in general when I have some problem, better to start from zero again

Put this 1080ti in stock, no overclock, no underclock, don't change power limit, only set fan to 80% or more and try again, check on MSI Afterburner to not set overclock equal to same cards, every card need to have different settings

I suspect your card can't handle too much overclock
