How much are you buying the card for ? Do you have free electricity? A rx580 takes 130watts from wall, a 1660super can do same hashrate with just 60watts also a 6600XT can do the same

The rx 580 has a medium-high consumption of electricity but if you find it at a good price it is still a valid gpu for mining

130watts for 30MH when mining isn't profitable is really bad, to get this rig running still you will need free electricity, to build a rig now you need to be prepared for bear market

If you buy this graphics card to make money, but write the cost of electricity and the purchase price. I will also tell you that not all video cards mine consistently 31 megahash.
For calculation use 27-28Mh. For a short period of time, you can achieve 31 megahash, but after a while, the mining farm crashes.

Sapphire Nitro+ RX580 8GB currently getting ~$1 per card a day before power. If you can get a RX580 for<$200, I would say it's a good card to hedge the uncertainty in the market and POW mining with since the ROI time frame is much shorter than comparable cards. Hashrate is 31-32 MH/s @110W at the wall for BIOS modded and undervolted cards.

I would buy it only it was a decent price like $150 or so. Maybe even $175. You need to understand that it came out in 2017 so you are buying an GPU which is 5 years old almost and most likely was mined in its entire existence.

Maybe the GPU will hold up but most likely the fans are on its last legs, so be prepared to replace the fans or if you are cheap you can just slap on some case fans onto the heatsink.

If you look on ebay they are very expensive, as all gpus are currently.
Honestly i would wait and buy a new gpu when they become cheaper as the market enters a deep bear.

Don't buy GPUs now it's a bad idea, if bear market is for real then in few more  months GPU price will go down but with the present market behaviour we still can't tell maybe a recovery will takes place, have patience
