Who would buy 3 1080ti for 1500$? Friends warning me that I will never get my ROI back even if I got them for free the other said 1000$ max, maybe u should just let the seller walk away in peace? I have 24hrs to decide

The cards can do 45MH mate this offer isn't bad at 1500$ but buying now is like throwing away money because the price will still go down once profits isn't good anymore, many miners will turn off their rigs and wait for another good mining season or even sell their miners

That is about 130 Mhsh with 70% power limit not at full power or around 170 watt for a card or 510 watt for three cards. The price of cryptocurrencies are going down like crazy but here is the catch,it is in such situations that decide who is going to be the winner,a winner for me is the person who keeps mining even at a loss and are thinking for long time profit,if you are for such use case scenario go ahead and buy the cards,if you are for making a quick buck refrain from buying the cards.

Yes I can buy 3 gtx1080ti for 500$ each because they are still good cards for mining it's just that it's now getting too late to mine now because mining isn't as profitable as it is before, it looks like we heading into bearish season so it's possible that those 1080ti can go lower in price as time goes on..

For how long are you planning to keep mining? I think that's all that matters cos the real secret of mining lies in bear market not in bull market, you have to keep gathering those coins for the next bull season before selling this is how you will ever make it big through mining

Depend on how long you are willing to go in the game minus selling the coins at low prices

Right now, coin prices are dropping, which means anything you mine won't be that profitable. You have other costs to incur, such as electricity bills. If you have extra money that can cover electricity bills for 3 year+ (in case of an elongated bear market) then go for it.

If you are thinking of selling the coins you mined in this bear market to cover other expenses. It's not worth it. Run!!!

That's over 120MH well it depends on how long you tend to keep mining for, it's actually a good offer if you are determined to keep mining in bearish season which is possible from any time now all you need to do is keep your mined coins for future sakes

If you can't answer this question yourself, then you don't need these graphics cards. You need to look at the mining logs for the last weeks, video card settings, temperatures and external state. For a beginner, I think it's a bad choice, better look for a 2060 super or 2070.

the card model is sturdy but considering the model, the original release date(2017) and the amount of them being sold, they have seen their fair share of mining for sure. also consider that their hashrate slowly deteriorates with each dag epoch since they are using ethlargement pill. your call, it's a risky move considering the state of the market, if you asked this question a year ago i'd tell you to buy them in a heartbeat, but now you have to consider the risks.

I don't think that hashrate decrease due to DAG file increase will be an important drawback when buying this video card. If Ethereum mining is up to date by the end of the year, then the hashrate will decrease by 1-1.5 megahash. I would be worried about the end of ethereum mining.

It will very hard to find a buyer at that price considering the current market sentiment and the item is already used for mining already plus the shipping cost. But the price is very fair since the brand new card is worth 700$ so the buyer will save 600$ if he purchase that 3 cards. But I doubt someone will invest right now in mining because aside from the value of rig is depreciating, The value of token that user mines is depreciating so its more economical to buy the token instead of mining it right now.

It all depends on your electricity price. Check whattomine and look your profit and how many % is electricity costs.
In the case > 25% of the profit is taken by costs i wouldnt buy it. Hashrate will go up further and would take you
to > 50% electricity costs..... no deal.

It's too late to buy these graphic cards now, wait till crypto market crashes many GPUs used will flood the market, once upon a time you can buy 1080ti for 280-300$ it's still very possible in bear market, now that mining profitability is low it makes no sense to buy these GPUs now

Right now? What's a waste of money it's better to invest your money on tokens and coins, they are down in value but are now recovering go for Terra Luna, BNB, Matic and Solana you can make some profits off this before market dips again, not a good time to buy GPUs IMO.

In a market that's on a downtrend right now. It's hard to catch those perfect highs and dips. I think the best thing for OP would be to wait until the bear market matures well enough, maybe in 2-3 years, before buying at a certain price target in anticipation for the next bull run.

Buying those coins that shot up so much recently like Luna, Solana etc. would be suicide. Just like the violently rose in price, the price drop is going to be the same

The cheapest I have been able to get 1080Ti is $500. I wont buy them anymore because they use to much power for the amount of hash I can get out of it.
but the memory in 1080Ti is very much suited to mining.

Yes me to. For 500$ i can get a 2060 Super for example - use much less energy and have 45mh stable - the 1080ti slowdown on eth mining every new epoch

$500 for a RTX 2060 Super graphics card is a very good price I would buy. Can you tell me the store address?
But beware of scammers if you have not bought video cards there before. Because for such a price, the seller will be able to sell the video card very quickly. And the scammer will deceive you.
