Why don't popular micro/freelancers sites adopt bitcoin?

Some of the popular sites are allowing bitcoin payments too so we can't say that all the sites completely ignored bitcoin but some of the micro sites you mentioned may think that they don't have enough users to build the environment so they are waiting to grow bigger before adopting it or due to the government regulations they don't want to make any issues for them.

Bitcoin is almost 14 years old, countries have already regulated it or passed laws considering it legal tender, each new day another ATM is settled somewhere in the world, the most influent men in the world confessed they own bitcoin or have interest for it, big companies have been going through the same path.

Unfortunatelly there isn't any bitcoin micro tasks site around with the same weight those mentioned sites have on the virtual environment...

In your opinion, why do these popular platforms act like this and completely ignore bitcoin? And why doesn't a platform of the same kind, but using bitcoin, is able to develop itself to compete against the big ones?

Yes, I remember Fiverr accepting Bitcoin for a while. Sadly, they stopped accepting it five years ago. I never found out the real reason why Fiverr made this decision. They explained it in business terms and said they had little interest in such a form of payment (which I could not believe), but I think something else was behind it. It is possible that they had difficulties due to the legislation at the time.

Just remember, because a freelancer site does not accept Bitcoin does not mean the freelancers themselves do not Almost every time I used to manage freelancers for my company from Fiverr,,, we would negotiate a separate term of payments later on once we finished the ongoing project. And always they are ready to accept a different mode of payment.

I guess for me the main thing is always Bitcoin price,,, you either solve it by fixing the BTC amount, or buying the BTC to pay close to invoice settlement. Either way it is a bit more inconvenient than fiat.

But how risky is it when you don't use escrow? There's always risk the client run away with finished goods or worker deliver low quality goods.

Always, but as I mentioned, the separate term of payment is only after finishing the original project. Then both sides know each other. You know the quality of the work, and you know the quality of the employer.

It usually takes trust of course time to build, but if you think about it,,, freelancers and employers who already complete one project have no more reason to hurt each other's reputation.

Maybe it is because the crypto transactions are irreversible and it makes the situation quite problematic when something goes wrong. I wish some big freelancer platform like upwork adopted crypto.

Fair point, it's less risky if both of them already complete a project. But it's not viable option for those who rarely need freelancer or rarely need freelancer with similar expertise/field.

Of course,,, I guess I was talking about companies like mine who always needs some small work regularly but not enough to hire a staff fulltime. It is a simple "who wins" game. You already do work together so you both won,,, and if you both like the relationship you continue at better convenience off site. Maybe Bitcoin payments end up better for the freelancer who skips the platform fees, and also gets to hold it if he chooses, especially in places not easy to buy Bitcoin.

On which sites you do freelancing jobs? If it is mostly from our forum I am sure that the employer is ready to pay you in cryptos or you can also demand the same because he was here in a crypto forum. Yes, crypto transactions are non reversible but an employer should not pay first but he must only pay the worker once the job is done and if he is sure that there will be no errors, in that way, no problems are going to be faced later on.

Some sites prefer to use the same payment method. We cannot forced them. If we want to get paid in cryptos, there are usually freelancing that is dedicated for crypto people. A little bit googling will show you what I mean.

A bit complicated i shall say because there would be no appeal or disputes or something like that since its irreversible and this is the thing i do have in mind thats why

they arent really that adopting it fully or simply still on observing on what could be probably the case if they do tend to consider on adding it out on the business or platform.
For those freelancers who are aware of bitcoin then it would be a plus or good option but pretty much sure that they do still consider out on accepting fiat
in the end of the day.
