So i just accidentally screwed up, and while sending my polygon erc20 usdt, i sent it to ethereum erc20 usdt address, and receiver didnt get his tokens that i sent him. Then i checked by etherskan, i understood that I've sent my usdt to wrong network
This address address that i wanted to send my usdt to is related to ethereum mainnetwork.

And they told me, that they're using ethereum mainnetwork, and that i should contact polygon support.

This is their actual etherscan https://etherscan.io/token/0xdac17f958d2ee523a2206206994597c13d831ec7?a=0xeb7Ed4F664fe51d50084024BC51d749233470D7A

Polygon scan of wallet that i sent my funds to https://polygonscan.com/token/0xc2132d05d31c914a87c6611c10748aeb04b58e8f?a=0xeb7ed4f664fe51d50084024bc51d749233470d7a

Hash of operation 0x685e1734b1ca63096130c3cda3c39e6f060dc87ffaa6af124818492c5249097c

The thing is, that I've contacted polygon support, they told me that they cant give me my funds back, cuz address isnt polygon related.
What am i supposed to do in this situation, just to give up?

If you have the private key of the address of the wallet you sent it to, you will be able to get your coin and spend them. If you send it to an exchange, you will not be able to recover it because it is the exchange private key and you do not have it, you will have to contact the exchange customer care to help you. They may have terms and conditions about it, if the amount sent is not up to required amount before they can help you, your coins is lost, the exchange stole it by not giving you. Not you key not your coin.

Anyone has the private key of the receiving address can recover the fund.
Where have you sent the fund to? As stated by Oshosondy, if that's an exchange, they are technically able to do so. But due to high risks involved in exporting a private key, exchanges usually aren't helpful in such cases.

There are many helpful guides on the Internet that explain thoroughly how to recover coins sent to a wrong blockchain. Here is some examples of such articles:

https://academy.binance.com/en/articles/how-to-recover-crypto-transferred-to-the-wrong-network-on-binance
https://fixedfloat.com/en/blog/guides/sent-to-the-wrong-network
https://www.reddit.com/r/ethtrader/comments/qmmivs/have_you_ever_sent_crypto_using_the_wrong_network/
https://coinguides.org/wrong-network-token-transfer/

Please, check them out!

The thing is, however, that in order to recover your funds you should have a private key from the address you sent coins to which you obviously don't have since you were sending to someone else's wallet. What you can do is ask politely the person who received your coins to follow instructions described in the above articles to recover coins on the right blockchain. And please also tell them that there is no support in decentralized blockchains.

There is no such thing as address registration.
Any ethereum address is a valid polygen address too and both have same a same private key.
So, if you have the private key of the ethereum address, you have the private key of the polygen address too.

You haven't answered the main question yet. Does the receiving address belong to an exchange?
As said, if the address belongs to an exchange, they are able to recover the fund. But it's unlikely that they help you. Exporting a private key can be risky for their security.

If you are transacting/sending to other people you know about or a person, there is a way to resolve the issue with the deed of another party.

And If you are sending it to an exchange or any platform, do also inform us who/what you are dealing with. After you give that information, it would make all of us clearer to help you and find if there is a plausible next move you should do.

Is this related to the address of exchange site or what? If this is related to the your own address and you can open it through metamask. You can find your money easily but if this related to the exchange address and that will be so difficult to get back your money.

When you're using metamask and you can open your address on both network. Your money can be taken back again. If you didn't have privatekey and this is the most difficult part. Ethereum address = polygon address but both are different on the RPC network that being used.

If you send it to a personal wallet (not an exchange) the funds can still be returned, as long as you know who the owner of the wallet is, but if you send it to an exchange wallet, your funds cannot be returned.

I already msged their support, but they told me, that i need to msg polygon support to get funds back.

So as i understood now, they ( third party exchange site)  need to follow the instructions as Witcher_sense sent, and then they will be able to recover those tokens, right?

What is the name of the exchange?

Anyway, you can also see their term of services in regard to wrongfully sending a transaction across networks. See if there is a clause that they are able/want to recover it, usually, there might be some percentage or the minimum amount they will charge in order to recover it. Technically, sending recovering the wrong token/cryptocurrencies from Matic chain into ETH chain is possible. But since it a third-party platform, all of your funds stake is all on them.

EDIT:

So as i understood now, they ( third party exchange site)  need to follow the instructions as Witcher_sense sent, and then they will be able to recover those tokens, right?
No. You have to confirm the exchange will accept your request in their TOS. If they would, they will handle the recovery by themselves.

Technically they can retrieve your tokens, but most of exchanges will not able to send back the coins since they has their own TOS if they stated "not responsible to recover a coins send to wrong chain".

The best thing is contact the exchanges about this problem and let's see what their responses. Looking from the balance, most probably it can't be recovered since they're prefer large sum money.

Sending funds from polygon ERC20 USDT to ETH ERC20 are poisble to recover if the receiver is using a decentralized wallet he can open the setting of a polygon with the private key and the funds can be recovered but if send to exchange then can be contacted with the exchange they can return if wrongly send to other network and exchange is not supporting polygon network.

If you are the owner of the wallet, I mean if you have the private key, you will see the amount on your wallet balance, or if your wallet is not supporting polygon, you will not see the coin until you import the private key on a wallet that support polygon. You can import the private key into a wallet that support polygon for you to be able to spend your coin.

No, he is not the owner of the wallet. Please, read his latest reply, he said he sent the coins to an exchange. So, only the exchange's support team can help him recover his coins.
And if am reading it right, he sent 2.100 usdt which is not a small amount and he should definitely re-contact them and try to explain what happened in details. Because judging by their reply (to contact polygon support!), they are either trying to fool him or the support agent has no clue on how ethereum and polygon networks work.

yes you can make transactions to other wallets from polygon wallet to erc20 because ethereum, polygon and also BSC wallets are all connected but the tokens you receive will not change to erc20 but remain on the polygon blockchains with the same wallet address
now you try to login to bsc or polygon using your ethereum passphase, you will be able to login

And they told me, that they're using ethereum mainnetwork, and that i should contact polygon support.

The thing is, that I've contacted polygon support, they told me that they cant give me my funds back, cuz address isnt polygon related.
What am i supposed to do in this situation, just to give up?

The receiver can import the coins via private keys of their wallet so its only possible if they have private keys, in case if the address belongs to an exchange or custodial wallet then you should ask the person to contact the respective support team and ask their their help because they can recover but most exchanges won't recover it.

yes you can make transactions to other wallets from polygon wallet to erc20 because ethereum, polygon and also BSC wallets are all connected but the tokens you receive will not change to erc20 but remain on the polygon blockchains with the same wallet address
now you try to login to bsc or polygon using your ethereum passphase, you will be able to login

If you read the content and not the title alone you should know that the funds was sent to an exchange ethereum address which is very crucial because exchange didn't allow this kind of support due to high risk involve that's why there's always a warning that you should not deposit other token on the specific coin address especially if the exchange didn't support the blockchain of that particular tokens.

As some people have said above that you can actually get your funds back if you send the funds to a private address, the owner of the address must have a private key or phrase to open his private address.

It's a good idea if you ask first whether the destination address is a private wallet address or not, if it's a private wallet, you can suggest that person change the network with the same private key or phrase.
