Here's something weird: I just realized (took me long enough, I know) that Bitcoin has the same acronym as the Broward Transition Center, the concentration camp (I mean, the "detention center") where I was starved half to death for over 8 months in 2012, prior to my deportation from the US.
That got me thinking: what are the odds?
I'm not interested in any "the odds are, like..." replies, but in the actual mathematical probability of the exact 3 letter combination happening.
I did learn mathematical probability in High School, but it's been a long time, and I don't remember anything about it, so if you guys can provide the equation for it, even better, so I can learn something.

There are 26³, or 17576, possible combinations of 3 letters. Since there is only one way to make BTC, the probability of a random 3-letter acronym being BTC are ¹/₁₇₅₇₆, or 0.0000568958. The probability of a particular camp not having the BTC acronym is 1 - ¹/₁₇₅₇₆, or or 0.9999431042.

According to this list, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_immigrant_detention_sites_in_the_United_States, there were 363 camps in 2007-2009. Let's assume that each has a 3-letter acronym (they don't).

The probability of none of them having the BTC acronym is 0.9999431042³⁶³, or 0.979558.

The probability of at least one of them having the acronym BTC is 1 - 0.979558, or 2.0442%

Anyways, that was exactly what I meant. My question should've been: "What are the odds of something significant in your life having the exact same 3 letter acronym of your first investment?" Thank you, that clears it out nicely.
