I’m trying to get a total of 3 Founders Edition cards, 3070 or 3080, non TI (if I’m not mistaken, the FE TI are LHR??) I can wait buy getting a little impatient lol

Thanks

Sorry if I posted in wrong board, new and don’t know proper board to post this. This board seems to be the most related to my question

I'm kinda lost with this your question, do you think that popular crypto YouTubers use some kind of script to shop for their GPUs? I don't think so last time I asked this type of question from Nate he said I could source for GPU using Craigslist and most times he preorder which takes time to complete.

Yes, I do think popular YouTubers and those running crypto farms use a script or algo to source their GPU. To be fair, someone like red panda (just an example) doesn’t get brand new GPU’s by physically staking out stores and hoping he can acquire a single GPU. I’m sure he has a strategy (unless he just overpays). Id love to preorder, but seems like preorder isn’t much of an option in most places

RPM is a bad example. YT miners similar to him do not truly care about mining or operating a mining setup profitably once their YT revenue exceeds their mining revenue. He could pay top scalper prices for GPUs, and still make money in the end when YT revenue is considered. He is either supplied cards by someone like a fan who profits little on top, or outright purchases from scalpers. Either way it would not matter.

I know RPM is a bad example. I’m just stating any example for the matter… but even non YouTubers. I spoke to this one guy who I was attempting to buy a GPU from and he said he got it in a MicroCenter lotto after MANY DAYS of trying. That doesn’t seem efficient nor do I think that that’s how most people get their stock. Just saying. I’m gonna give Streetmerchant a go

I know there's plenty of bots out there and that's the reason why none of us are able to get our hands on available stock when it comes out.  A shame and I wish there was a better way.  I'd give Best Buy my $ and wait 6 months for a GPU if I had to...  Alas, that is not an option.  However, a quick Google search landed me on this bot:
https://github.com/kkapuria3/BestBuy-GPU-Bot

I know github is full of various bots for getting your hands on new stock of GPUs, and I know nothing about the bot I posted above except it's near the top of Google's search results.  If I were looking for a bot to use though, github is where I'd start.  Most of them have good instructions and are made for simple usage.  Just be safe and take a quick glance at the code to see if anything looks fishy before giving anything a try.

Do you currently have a shortage of video cards in stores?
Profit has already decreased by several times and the prices of video cards have not yet fallen. I would recommend keeping an eye on the aftermarket and looking for non-LHR graphics cards. Now there are a lot of good offers and bargaining is not prohibited.

You do make a good point. I feel like the aftermarket prices will come down as profitability is coming down. As for shortages, yes. Massive shortage. To the point where I am willing to go wait outside a BestBuy on a projected drop day just hoping to snag a card from a canceled order
