Maybe someone should let them know about Bitcoin?

Edit:  Regretsy promotes some of the lesser-thought-out items found on Etsy.com. Etsy.com is like an E-bay for arts-and-crafts, without the auction.

Regretsy has a pretty large following, due to the writing style of the author as well as the many charitable things she's done.

I am not familiar with that community but if that post of theirs is real, that is pretty fucked up of Paypal!!  Is this community of theirs not able to go file for 501c of some type and sue paypal for the frozen funds? Man, that's just fucked up to mess with funds that are clearly being designated to benefit children!!!  Someone should smash Paypal's balls with a big fucking, spiked hammer!!!  assholes!!

  *breathes deeply*

If you're not excited by the idea of being an early adopter 'now', then you should come back in three or four years and either tell us "Told you it'd never work!" or join what should, by then, be a much more stable and easier-to-use system.

I've been quite pessimistic about bicoin's usefulness, but if PayPal keeps going on like this, they could really be a major reason to use bitcoin.

Bitcoin Fact: the price of bitcoin will not be greater than $70k for more than 25 consecutive days at any point in the rest of recorded human history.

wow...
PAYPAL: Only a nonprofit can use the Donate button.
ME: That’s false. It says right in the PDF of instructions for the Donate button that it can be used for “worthy causes.”
PAYPAL: I haven’t seen that PDF. And what you’re doing is not a worthy cause, it’s charity.
ME: What’s the difference?
PAYPAL: You can use the donate button to raise money for a sick cat, but not poor people.

So poor people are inferior to cats, eh?

Also, looks like if you guys want a good place to direct all those bitcoins you're collecting for charity, this might be the place - "Bitcoin saves Christmas!".

If you don't feel like writing anything to this http://www.reddit.com/r/WTF/comments/n1yx1/scumbag_paypal/ discussion, u don't have to - there is already a number of posts offering bitcoin as an alternative to paypal and listing its main advantages. Just look for those posts and upvote them.
People need to see that there's a better way than this profit driven bullcrap!

How annoying...

Bitcoins are not happening, what with only the diehard true believers still using them.

I understand you are trying to make a sensible suggestion to solve a serious problem but bitcoins are so worthless that they are now more likely to be used as an ironic gift than currency.

We've got quite a PR mountain to climb.

Maybe Bit-Pay can contact them, set up an account which will deal with the exchange rate issue.

It's on the regretsy page, not the reddit page.  It's been downvoted in the meantime -- ha.

Just search for "bitcoin".

It seems the people on reddit are about fifty-fifty pro and against bitcoin. That's a lot better than before!

I have posted this issue to the Bitcoin100 charity thread at:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=52543.0

Our family was terrorized by Homeland Security.  Read all about it here:  http://www.jmwagner.com/ and http://www.burtw.com/  Any donations to help us recover from the $300,000 in legal fees and forced donations to the Federal Asset Forfeiture slush fund are greatly appreciated!

Thanks, found it. added my downvote.

Don't be a bitch and downvote just because you disagree.  Reply instead with a link to bit-pay or something useful.  Censoring people sure isn't gonna change their mind.
