It could be the same as AMD GPU one since both of them are using OpenCL to run the mining algo.

Here's how Intel arc GPU will run GPU parallel programming (GPGPU):
https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/developer/tools/oneapi/overview.html
https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/develop/documentation/get-started-with-dpcpp-compiler/top.html
https://www.khronos.org/sycl/

Thus only nonLHR NVIDIA GPU will still rule the mining world if it's just a matter of performance between OpenCL and CUDA for the same GPU price.

Intel is the newcomer here and based on those links it doesn't look that promising however to be sure we have to watch them in action, see the hash rate, power consumption and stability of this Arc GPU before jumping to conclusions. In normal conditions when a new competitor wants to enter in a business area he usually brings a better product compared to the competition (if he is serious about his business) and also a bit cheaper just to get the market share.Let's see how Intel will play this game.

True and I do hope they will shake the GPU industry to boost it up, new engineers, new point of view, new vision, technology is constant needing of that.

Else it's funny how NVIDIA CEO reacted to the announcement of this new toolkit, he appear to be scared of this competitor  Cool

Does this means that current GPU prices will go down? I hope things get right because even though mining eth is getting harder GPU prices still remains and worst is getting more expensive than it is. Hope things gets better with new competitions like this comes to the market, it will help a lot.

don't hold your breath. Intel will align its pricings to those already existing. Absolutely no reason for them to lower prices. The demand remains high and will continue to be high... The 200/350 eur GPU range is long gone/dead and will never come back. I'm not negative here, just realistic.

Intel will have a higher percentage of defective chips, so they will lose the fight if they start dumping in the market. It is not yet known whether Intel will use LHR solutions for their video cards. Probably, powerful video cards will appear on the market in the 2nd quarter, but it may be very late. Demand for video cards will fall.

This is just a probability, I'm not judging until the GPU is released and someone finally give it a try on YouTube, whatever the results will be no one knows for now.

So far Intel has promised to not limit their chips and GPU-s as Intel plans also building ASICS beside GPU-s.I don't see any reason they need to do that, they are the new comer here and want to crush competition (in theory at least) so if they copy the competition no one will get them seriously.I have much faith in Intel as a company being one of the biggest in the world with the most qualified people (supposedly) at their site.I think we can start to see Nvidia coming quickly up with non LHR new GPU-s if Intel really brings on good products to the miners.

I think it will have a major effect on GPU prices, but aftermarket, not retail.  Just the fact that more GPUs will be made available to the retail buyer will mean that the odds of getting one at MSRP will be improved.  Considering MSRP would be a massive discount to what's available today for the average buyer, I would consider that bringing prices down.  As far as them starting a price war and seeing MSRP crumble on GPUs, I would agree that won't happen.  Every GPU on the market is selling instantly at retail prices, so maybe with another major company adding some supply there is hope for us mere mortals to get our hands on a GPU without paying an aftermarket price.

Once ETH goes PoS only mining rigs with free electricity will be able to mine. The rest will have to shut down. That's probably 95% of all the people mining around the world ETH and the rest of coins.

Why would you care about this GPUS?? Why would anyone care about mining on any gpu in the upcoming years?? You will not be able to mine with profit. Probably never again.

BTC no more than 6k by end of 2019. ETH no more than 300$ by end 2019. Huge market manipulation, huge amount of scammers and hypers.

I don´t think so. In the BTC was mined with GPU´s, and after ASIC´s arrived the field, GPU mining not died, same think is happen after the first LTC asics are going live. And the same will happen after ETH is going to POS - sure maybe in 3 or 4 years - vitalik must test his POS first on DOGE  XD

Sure we have much more hashrate as in the past, but we have also much more coins to mine. Some people are going out, but this happens every bear market. So i don´t understand the fear and why all people only looking on ETH.

Gigabyte releases custom Arc A380/A310 GPUs
A confirmation that Gigabyte has become an Intel board partner.
igabyte’s Arc A-series are actually quite cheap. We are looking at $170 to $231 price after conversion from Russian currency:
GIGABYTE Intel Arc A380 GAMING OC – 14,999₽ ($231)
GIGABYTE Intel Arc A380 WINDFORCE OC – 13,999₽ ($216)
GIGABYTE Intel Arc A310 WINDFORCE – 10,999 ₽ ($170)

These video cards are only relevant if you have free electricity and are going to mine Ethereum forks. At flea markets, these video cards are now massively sold. But these video cards have a very fast payback on free electricity due to the low price.

I don't think Intel's goal when releasing video cards was to use them for mining, just a desire to occupy at least some niche in the average and cheap segment of available video cards, but in mining for its price segment, for example, the Intel Arc A770 card looks quite average.

I don't mean so sound rude, but what did you expect?  Did you think that Intel would enter the GPU market and suddenly x10 everyone else?  I'm sure it'll take them a few generations of products to really cement a lead, which I assume they will given their ability to buy the best talent in the world.  Right now though it's expecting a lot for them to just blow past Nvidia or AMD.  I'll be waiting and watching, but Intel will have to offer a pretty amazing product for me to think they can really compete with AMD, who I much prefer to Nvidia already.

They need to offer the same hash rate at a much lower power consumption if their products will aimed toward miners, which is highly unlikely in the time we are in.For gaming though I doubt their ability to build better products than Nvidia for example,I don't know AMD to be that good in gaming as Nvidia has been during all these years.

The fact that both Nvidia and AMD with their latest generation have not pushed that hard as we don't see a huge improvement over the previous generation says a lot that they also are in a wait and see mode.

Intel basically just testing their new dedicated gpus, wont be suprise if they run poorly on mining side or cumpute calculation, lets wait for 3 new gen from them, might be next bullrun they ready to compete with current market gpu mining Wink , i hope apple sillicon makes kinda dedicated gpus, as you know they king of efficiency
