The BitcoinHD (BHD) network will soon launch merged mining with CHIA.
The CHIA network, according to conservative estimates, consists of 20 million terabytes.
Now there are a little more than 6 million BHD in circulation out of the future 21 million.
To mine BHD, you need to stake 3 BHD coins on the pool for each of your terabytes (these coins can be transferred from the pool back to your wallet at any time).
If at least 10% of those who mine CHIA (2 million terabytes) start mining BHD, then they will need to buy back 6 million BHD from the market, and this is almost the entire emission at the moment!
Imagine how much BHD would then cost.

GPU Plotting is Real – and Very Fast
GPU plotting is here from Chia and madMAx – and it is very fast. K=32 plots in 1.5 minutes on a single high-end GPU + 256GB of RAM.
GPU performance and i/o bandwidth are growing at a rapid pace
Plot grinding, spoofing plots with GPU, can be theoretically performed once phase 1 is under 28 seconds, but isn’t economical and requires a lot of continuous energy
Chia blockchain has constants set up to prevent plot grinding. The ultimate protection against plot grinding without hurting honest plotters is to keep it uneconomical
Chia is proposing a CHIP to reduce the plot filter to ensure that plot grinding remains uneconomical for the foreseeable future

I think they do this to get the last shit out of BHD. BHD was inactive for 2 years or so. This project has no usecase - sure i made a lot of money in the early days (made around 8 eth with 2 mined blocks  Grin )
But I don't think BHD will recover. Sure if someone has Chia plots and get some BHD extra is a nice to have - but don´t believe in long term!

I see that many miners are starting to buy RAM for hard drive plotting. Video cards help make this operation much faster, but I would buy these coins if I believed in the future. I don't really believe that BHD will be popular either.
