I was surprised how some articles are easily published and accepted on publishing sites, I have known medium for their good contents and I have preferred many times to search for articles on medium, but recently, one of the articles from the notification I got really displeased me and inaccurate.

I read many lies and the person that wrote it is a critic and annoying with his misleading information, even the title is a lie and stupid, value did not get to zero but worthless, how will that be possible? This will likely be an old man thinking like person that is not knowing what is going on presently in the world.

Using long term comparison, see the misinforming graph he included, you can check it yourself because I will not include it here. If using long term, I will include the graph of bitcoin from 2009 to 2022 not only 2022 graph that we have just started.

Bitcoin and crypto may seem liquid until the governments declare it is illegal. Try buying something in China right now using Bitcoin (if you dare). Russia is also declaring Bitcoin illegal. Sure you can hold billions of it if you want but you are not allowed to use those billions to buy or sell anything.

China wants centralized control, since they are banning bitcoin, see the chart above. Russia did not ban bitcoin, even the Russian president's word towards bitcoin mining favours miners in Russia.

If USA banned gold in the past, I have heard many times about it, then this article writer is a clown misinformimg people in a way they should see bitcoin bad with lies.

You don’t need the internet or crypto exchanges or secret pass keys or even electricity for physical gold — but you need ALL of these things for Bitcoin to work. Anti-crypto regulations, financial system collapse, power outages, lack of access to the internet will all make your Bitcoin and crypto holdings unspendable.

If gold and bitcoin are banned, I will see which one will be more accessible. The internet will be shutdown because of bitcoin? The world depends on electricity too. Even if the internet is shutdown for many days, my bitcoin remain my bitcoin.

I can not completely read the article, it is full of misinformation from begining to where I stopped.

In the past, I also was frequently looking for Bitcoin critics as to balance my overbullishness on Bitcoin; and trust me when I say this — the more you dig, the more BS and ad hominem attacks you see thrown at Bitcoin. The only valid criticisms I see a lot are the likes of "bitcoin is hard to use" and the "bitcoin is slow and expensive" criticisms, whereas these can be easily fixed by further innovation.

Things like this have already happened in the past where they published such lies whenever bitcoins price is increasing to catch up with the trend and to get some views and exposures, they don't really care about their articles whether it's true or not. that's why lots of people regret not investing with bitcoins in its early stages because they listened to those media crooks. Today, no want would really care about these kinds of articles because the more they hate bitcoins, the more it becomes popular and appreciated by real investors.

I read the article and everything revolves around gold as if it was written by some gold bug. But it's a long-known story, in my opinion, it's a comparison of oranges and apples because Bitcoin and gold are two completely different things. But for those who continue to read the article, the real intention of the author is revealed, because it is just a bad attempt to promote someone's shitcoin which is allegedly pegged to gold.

In the end, the author shows his utter stupidity by advising that as many Chinese CBDCs as possible should be bought, which will soon (according to him) become the new global reserve currency. If nothing else, the article is competing for one of the dumbest in 2022, and all those who liked it will most likely have a very successful year

Medium is a blogging platform, it's not a journal with editors, literally anyone can start a Medium blog and post their stupid uninformed opinions there.

Nocoiners were always making rather poor arguments against Bitcoin, they always showcased that their hatreds towards it is rather irrational than based on some legitimate concerns. If you want to look for criticism of Bitcoin, there's plenty of good criticism within the community, and it doesn't say "Bitcoin is useless and goes to the ground", it simply highlights the problems and limitations of Bitcoin.

Probably they're happy to see bitcoin keep losing support because they all want to buy at the very dip to have good profits in the future as well. Lol because to be honest when bitcoin is so high and the price keep increasing they're not existing.. I look at this as an opinion piece. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I someone thinks that crypto will be worthless in the future, then they have the right to express their opinion (if they are presenting untruthful data, then that's another issue). Just look at it as a version of what Paul Krugman said about the internet in 1998 'By 2005 or so, it will become clear that the Internet’s impact on the economy has been no greater than the fax machine's'. And in all honesty, I'd rather crypto be under critique because then it can prove itself and work on the flawed issue, rather than just be universally praised.

It's not just the author's opinion that Bitcoin will be worthless, but a classic shill article in which he suggests through the walls of the text to people to invest in another crypto project, which of course I will not mention here. Sometimes we underestimate how good Bitcoin actually is for the purpose of marketing various crypto projects, of course, the way the author presents it in a bad light by offering an alternative.

As many as there are people who would like Bitcoin to succeed, there are at least five times as many who would like it not to happen. Many people are jealous because they did not invest on time, many have some reason to hate Bitcoin because they may have lost money or been scammed - which means that Bitcoin has a lot of enemies, and not just in banks or politicians.

There is nothing in the world that has zero criticism. Every new innovation is really welcome in the start and same is the case with bitcoin. We have to admit that btc has issued of scalability but its security and decentralized nature overcome all its major shortcoming. Scalability is solved by LN and its very much settled issue now.

Ever since bitcoin's inception there are a lot of critics already, saying that it won't survived. But long how far bitcoin already went, we are 10+ years old now. But there are some critics that are convince and then some (specially from some traditional markets), that really didn't grasp the concept of crypto in general. It is not surprising anymore if there are many media that report about Bitcoin only negatively. Moreover during the bear market, or even there are some special laws by certain governments or countries. the FUD will be always spreading about Bitcoin and cryptocurrency.
If the news from certain media is exactly not true, we can report the site or address.

Some articles only view from one side, its negative sides, without considering and preaching the positive sides. That is media.
We cannot stop how media will preachabout Bitcoin
That is why, we commonly often retell and explain to some certain people around us, close to us that are curious about the truth of Bitcoin.

As you said, these are just critics that will probably never see and say anything good about Bitcoin and besides the guy is a clown, how do you want to compare 2 things and you are only looking at the shortest time frame as your judgment for almost 13 years trade.

So let's see how both have performed in the same time frame too since Bitcoin was found, the Blackline is Bitcoin and the yellow line is Gold, can he even compare the two? at present, Bitcoin is about +54million % above gold since Genesis.


Government change, just cos one government doesn't approve of Bitcoin doesn't mean this is how all other incoming Governments will feel about the same thing plus china cannot be a representative of every Government.

It isn't that surprising really, some articles maybe just a form of misunderstandings (or really, not understanding the topic itself) but it still does give traction to the site by the people who read the said topic. As long as the article seems pretty good, and all details intended were as is and the other misinformation or misunderstanding is solely the opinion of the journalist, it'd probably be allowed. Quality checks don't deign on stuff like that after all.

Plus, negative articles sounds more enticing to read for most people anw, at least it is for me when I know completely nothing of the topic.

Yes that is right, everything will always have those who would stand to criticize it , and there will also be those that supports it. Despite that Bitcoin is a really good invention there will always be those who are going to be criticizing it and ignoring how good and useful it has been to us.

But funny enough, all those people who has been criticizing Bitcoin doesn’t have a good enough point. Like, if you look at criticisms that are being laid against Bitcoin you would see that most of them are not even making any sense at all. But anyways, what can we do? When you try to correct those critics, it seems like your words keeps falling on top deaf ears.

We need the kind of Bitcoin critics who can talk about the need for Lightning Network or its implications for treasuries of private corporations and billionaires. We need critics who can question the pace of development considering that a lot of central banks are already planning CBDCs that will carry records of every single transaction while also allowing governments to censor any transaction at will.

We need critics who can tell us that not enough is being done to actively promote Bitcoin anymore. The doomsday critic are a meme now. Bitcoin has died 4875 times already.

I don't think this article is true,does the writer think that bitcoin is a ponzi like mmm that will crash,bitcoin is a digital currency and it has value it can not be worthless , although the price may fluctuate but that doesn't mean that it will crash,even thou China doesn't accept it now, some  other countries accept it,infact , senator from one of the states from US want to legalize  bitcoin  that is it will be used to pay bills,so this article is wrong.

i believe they know that they are also lying about what they are saying. for sure, they will also do their own study about the topic but because they want to contradict what is the truth. they resort to giving unfounded statements to the point that they lie about it.
and publishers are allowing this article to be published. why? maybe, to attract the attention of the public with this kind of article. but the prob is, most people won't do their own research and believe what they've written. and this is why people panic because of the confusion. to address this scenario - every one of us doesn't need to believe every article published, we also need to educate ourselves with facts.
