The museum Belvedere in Vienna sale "The Kiss" by Gustav Klimt as NFT
https://www.belvedere.at/en/digital-declaration-love

Unfortunately, I can't assess this well because I'm not familiar enough with the topic. The museum itself is a very strong brand and Gustav Klimt's painting "The Kiss" is one of the most famous in the world. I can't quite understand the meaning of it all. Here an image is digitized and sold on February 10th in 10000 pieces. I've always seen NFT in art as a digitized image. But here an existing painting will be sold.

Apart from that, I can already imagine that the 10000 pieces will be sold because of the fame in the art sector (of the museum and the picture).

What do you think?

it seems as a trend, galleria Ufizzi in Firenze also sold some works as NFT's, it is good to keep profit during COVID's, that brought down tourism levels and museums were closed for some period
not sure why people are buying those pieces, but obviously they try to create their collection, to have home museum

I think that it will keep going with other museum's as well, until they have buyers

I think there should be a place in this forum only for NFTs cause we can see it's growing so much and going very high in news even bigger then crypto itself.
