I opened a gemini account a while back. I then did the verification where I submitted my passport or took picture of it for verification. I then got message that my account has been approved, but restricted from trading until you send in your first deposit via wire transfer.
I remember trying to manually link my bank account as oppose to automatically link bank account because I read doing that requires plaid and that isn't good since they could log into your bank since they have your credentials. But I remember it didn't work. Does anyone know if right now you could still manual link bank account this way on gemini?
But is a wire transfer needed to start trading on gemini? My bank charges a fee for this and I do not want to use this option. I am surprised why they require this and not just have the bank account link where they deposit few cents and you need to confirm it? Has anyone here gotten gemini to waive that wire transfer and allow them to get verified with their bank account?
I also right now went to click on manually add bank account and put my information and my bank routing number and bank account number. But i get message it is not correct? I googled and I believe the routing number they want... is your bank's wire routing number and not your bank's ach routing number? Can someone here confirm this?
But I do not want to use a wire though and want to use ach only. Thoughts on this?
