I think dogecoin is still possible to reach 1$ this year if many famous people promote this coin again
like what Elon did last year which made doge prices fly very high.
but currently elon alone is not enough to bring about the significant price increase it used to be. need a future project that uses this doge coin to maximize the development of the doge coin to be able to reach 1$ per coin.
if that's done I think doge can break the price of 1$ in 2022

To be honest i don't really think that Dogecoin can reach the mark of 1$ not in this year and probably also not in any year after that. The extreme hype that was caused by the tweets of Elon Musk "only" brought Dogecoin to around 0,70$ and that was during a full bull market. Back then his tweets came totally unexpected, that why they had so much impact on the price of Dogecoin. If he makes another tweet now it has almost no impact anymore because people are used to it. In addition to that those tweets not only pushed Dogecoin but also initiated that whole meme-coin hype that was ongoing in the last months, which was really bad for the whole crypto market in my opinion.
That hype is dying out now, that's why i don't think that Dogecoin will reach 1$.

I think the only interesting meme coin is dogecoin, which doesn't have a dev as it's been deprecated for a long time but still survives with strong community support.
After dogecoin has been without a leader for a long time, it looks like Elon Musk wants to take over dogecoin completely, making Elon Musk the new custodian of dogecoin.
Dogecoin under Elon Musk's tutelage will of course grow much better, seeing Elon Musk's background who owns a giant company will of course affect how Dogecoin is going forward. DOGE and other memecoins with no functionality have taken a beating already in the latter half of 2021 and the first bits of 2022.

I would be very surprised if the $0.1 support holds for DOGE, to tell you the truth. I think that it will be incredibly hard for the community to generate traction when the overall mood in the markets is bearish and people are flocking to safe haven assets like BTC and ETH.

These are just speculations and there is no guarantee that it will go to $1 this year. I can see that there is a very slim chance that it could go as high as that unless there are amazing new use cases and fundamentals of DOGE rather than just being a meme coin.

DOGE is a legend as it's the first meme coin to rise this big so far. However, I believe that once a project is brought by hype, it will eventually correct and that's where DOGE is heading. Also, the market seems bearish, so there's a possibility that DOGE will dump to below $ 0.1 and will be having a hard time recovering to its ATH again.
