How do you know when to sell?

There is not a moment where is better to take profits.

When you start investing you should have a strategy with a well-studied asset allocation. So with periodic rebalancing you will buy when the price goes down and sell when the price goes up, as the allocation will be unbalanced by the market performances of your coins.

Obviously it is an extreme simplification, but I advise you to start studying how to build a well-organized portfolio, otherwise it cannot be considered investment, but trading/gambling. 

Its always trading. It always does sound a very newbie question and probably don't know terms even. Oversimplification would be more like buy low sell high. But since he is asking when to sell, it means he likes to identify when to know he is not going to lose potential profit after selling.

But this also depend on which timeframe he is selling or whether he is a short or long term investor, either I woukd still suggest using RSI for his trading.

When to sell a coin is probably when it's have generated profits, that's the main and prime thing. Before a trader must have place triggered the sell price, he or she must ensure he's in Profits. I only triggered my sell price when I'm fully aware that I'm in Profits and there's absolutely nothing that will hinder me from not selling after learning from my mistakes. Some traders uses a general basis which is buy when the market is in serious dump and sell when it must have enter bull period. This basis alone have change so many certain things for traders.

To simplify that problem when investing, we should plan and target when to buy and when to sell so as not to be confused when there are abnormal fluctuations in the market.

We will never know what will be the last ATH in the bull season or what will be the ATL this bear season, as long as we stick to our target and stick to what we have set, not break its principles.

This is hard to know, usually I often make mistakes, when the price skyrockets and the profit is big I usually buy more, as happened with BNB when the price is more than $550 I buy a lot because of speculation the price will skyrocket again.

in my trading method, I always make a sell request at the number I have targeted the profit I want to get. but the number I set is never far because I don't want to be greedy and most importantly I have benefited from it even though the value is small but I can always get profit. because in trading what we want is profit. so I never regret because I always trade safely.

Honestly speaking, I am not a day trader, or even a short-term trader either. When I accept an entry for a project, I conduct research on its foundation. How much stronger they are if they are strong enough to hike for at least 4-6 months, which is mid-term for me. And if my research says after 4-6 months yes, it is capable of multiplying my investment, then I will just take entry and wait for the targeted multiply. And if it crosses, I exit, or if I believe it has more power, I add it to my long-term portfolio. So basically, I am a holder. That's my strategy, you can say. Thank you.

You know when it's the time to sell when the market becomes bullish for an extended period of time. When you see major cryptocurrencies with a price increase of over 2% during the day, you know that they're going to keep rising in price for a while. But when the increase is 1% or less, the effects would only be temporary as the cryptocurrency or token will quickly enter in "bearish" mode. Despite this, we can never predict with certainty what will happen with the price of a cryptocurrency due to the unpredictable nature of the market.

As a word of advice, only invest into solid projects with a proven track record of development and innovation instead of projects that are full of hype. If you do that, then you'll be on a road towards long-term financial stability. Just my thoughts

consistant with our daily target was an obligation to earn money in market, many of us didnt dicipline when they got profits and hold it without any taking profits. 10% in each day was good return if we compare with bank return which is below 5% for yearly rate. our greedy really influence our trading result, didnt we want to pass the true progress in market or prefer instant earning by forgeting trading plan and money management which is could make our assets liquidated.

I target and benchmark if you want to invest, buy and sell coins, this method is commonly used by many people, if you buy a coin the price is $1/coin so you can target if the coin goes up $1.8-$2 you can release it, that's what I often do.

You don't need to wait for the purchase price of $ 1 and wait for the new $ 100 you sell, it's over time but not necessarily able to reach that much.
