Scammers always use the name of well known companies whether it is fake giveaway or fake token sale. And yes, old investors don't pay much attention to it but newbies are the main target.

Just add in the current buzzwords for example in this case it is Meta and web3.0 with some psychedelic themes and you can get yourself a website like the one above pretty quickly. That should be kept in mind when coming across sites like this. While it is rare to find legit projects, obviously a tech giant would not announce a ICO without a lot of prior media coverage, which should tingle your common sense and give you the red flag.

Either way it is not experience users like us who are the main targets of these scams but over-enthusiatic newbies and less tech savvy older users who dont know how to verify facts. Hence reporting them here and reporting to the registrar are our only ways to deal with it. In this case

Scammers know that newbies are not doing enough research, they are very conventional on how they invest, if they read a known brand and it gets hype and gets fake support they saw a well-designed landing page they go for it, without researching further, if scammers are good at making a fake project so real, investors should also good at exposing and discerning a project.
Here in Cryptocurrency, not all that glitters are gold, and scammers are good at making it looks gold.

The very scam fake Apple ICO appeared on my Facebook feed as well, couple of days ago. Even though its very easy to see that is fake (at least for us that are into crypto for longer period of time and we've seen all kind of scams), I can imagine newbies falling for this easily.

Combination of greed and ignorance is what these scammers count on when they create such obvious scams like this one.

I just start ignoring this kind of Facebook ad and do not click anyway to waste my time by reading their fake site or Whitepaper. Because I believe companies like Tesla & Apple don't need to raise funds like millions. If the intention to launch a coin they could back by themselves. Doesn't necessary to be backed by the community.

Anyway, we have to take a lesson from this kind of ad and post. Need to create more awareness so that newbies would learn.

I’m wondering why this is allowed on facebook ad and think how their security works, this should be checked before the approval of the adds. The site really looks like a legit one and Apple should address this and inform the users not get into this kind of investment because its a scam. Luckily we have someone who can check the site if its legit or not, I’ll spread this info to my friend as well so they can know.
