Currently, the only way to send money to Afganistan is moneygram.

As far as I know they do not have anything that can convert crypto to cash.

I am still looking for crypto exchange that an Afganistan can use easily. No KYC or anything, but not scammy and will run with money either.,

So I need a way to send money to an Afgan friend with moneygram

Any way to do it?

https://localbitcoins.com/instant-bitcoins/?action=sell&amount=500&currency=USD&country_code=AF&online_provider=MONEYGRAM&find-offers=Search

It's not without risk.

EDIT: Why can't you just use MoneyGram yourself?

Yeah why would this be needed, why can't they do the conversion themselves or is that what you're hoping for?

You might find more options by using a contact from Europe if you have one though as Western Union still can deliver to Afghanistan from there.

Besides using peer-to-peer exchanges like HodlHodl[1] and LocalCryptos[2], it's pretty unrealistic to look for exchanges(or any financial service in general) where you can withdraw fiat but without KYC lol.

Localbitcoins may just be the only option and te likes.

It's a very depressed country under a war over a decade, it's even surprising there is a MoneyGram working.
But it looks like there is a big opportunity for an Afghan developer to start having an app for the country to have a platform where they can exchange fiat to crypto. The country however is not a very unstable country, the Taliban government is not even recognized as a government.

As mentioned above, it appears that Western Union has resumed its operations in the country so you can check Bestchange[1]. The services don't seem to require KYC but the rates/fees look outrageous so it may not be the best solution

No idea what the situation with crypto in Afghanistan is to be honest. If you don't want to use MoneyGram or Western Union as suggested, take a look at Hesab Pay. They advertise themselves as an e-payment solution for Afghanistan. (https://hesab.af/home) Do your own research on whether or not this is a trustworthy service.

Like first person who responded, the best way is localbitcoins but not without risk and in fact with very high risk hence the bad rates.

I know a lot of Afghan people use moneysenders in Pakistan which is near the border. You send money there also with Moneygram and they make sure it gets sent to the Afghani across the border. This is probably the safest, just need to make phone calls Smiley

The best solution is to use social media, find someone who pays a citizen in Afghanistan and you pay him with cash, PayPal, Bitcoin or any other payment method.

When there is inflation, you will find a few people who accept Bitcoin, so look for them and they will transfer a few small amounts to that country.

If the amount is large, your relative must travel to the nearest country, receive the money and return to Afghanistan.
Ask the Afghan community in your country, you will surely find someone who knows a way to deliver money to your country and then you can pay him cash or bitcoin.

Try out the suggestions above first.

I doubt that any crypto exchange (even global payment services) will operate in a country that is in the midst of a humanitarian crisis without being suspicious about the funds you will use in that country.

Maybe I misread, but I didn't see any BTC buy requests and also found this news: https://www.bbc.com/news/business-59129470
I think Afghans are over-demand liquidating foreign currency/crypto to local currency because of policy.

This space for rent.

OP asked for non-KYC platforms.Localbitcoins requires ID verification.
The non-KYC platforms like Bisq and hodlhold probably don't have people, who accept BTC/Moneygram trades.
Unfortunately,it's pretty hard to use payment services in a such underdeveloped country like Afghanistan.
There has to be a way around this, but this would require multiple middlemen, who will charge a fee and make the process really expensive. There's also the problem of trying to find middlemen, who are actually legit and won't scam you. This makes things even worse.
Good luck with this,OP.

I don't know what the situation there but you can ask some of your friends there to share other options on how to cash-out cryptocurrency, I'm sure on many people there someone is using cryptocurrency and they can help you to solve your problem. P2P is the easy option but I'm afraid that you can find one, Exchanges will ask your place of territory, they might already restrict Afghanistan citizens to access their site, but you can still try and find the best solutions.

It seems LBC offers trade for that country but you need to complete KYC or you can go with Localcryptos but I don't think you will get good deals there so what you can do is convert cryptocurrency into fiat of yours and send moneygram from your country to your friend which save lot of fee and eliminate risks.

It’s not just only local Bitcoin, there are also other exchanges that functions there. I believe that exchanges like LocalBitcoin, and Binance.com are working there. It's quite possible that there are so many other options, but they just haven’t taken their time to check yet if these options are available there. But it is still their choice, if they feel that MoneyGram is the best to go then they can make use of it.

Although from what he has said here, MoneyGram isn’t really the choice he has made, because he is still looking for another option that would be like MoneyGram but accepts cryptocurrency, which I don’t think there is. So their only option now would be to make use of a cryptocurrency exchange, and I believe that once the friend in Afghanistan receives it, there would be a way for him to convert it to Fiat.

Currently a friend in europe handles it. So he sent money to afgan with moneygram. The sponsor send money using crypto.

I am just thinking a better way.

Moneygram in the sponsor's country doesn't allow sending.

I tried localbitcoins for other purposes before. Things like earning money. Fuck. The service is filled with scammers after scammers. Sometimes some scammers ALMOST get my money. So localbitcoin send SMS. I didn't check SMS a lot and didn't read. Then the mod almost favor wrong buyers that claim they have sent money.

I can check every day but not worth it.

Localbitcoins is definitely not for beginner unless you want to get experience getting scammed. Seriously. Getting scammed for small amount may make you smarter. But not a good idea

I have not used Localbitcoin for a long time, but I have several experiences with Localcryptos, traders I dealt with are friendly, the conversion was done quickly and the support team solves the problems even though they were resolved by the traders.

In general, these escrow sites link the seller with the buyer, so be sure to read negative reviews carefully, and then you can choose them with ignoring the fees.

Unfortunately, Localbitcoin have many fake reviews, so many positive feedbacks without any negative or average one may be considered a negative indicator.

If making use of MoneyGram is the only way, then why don’t you make use of MoneyGram to send the money to your friend that is in Afghanistan? And moreover how did you get to know that there is no way for he or she to convert the crypto currency that you would send to them to cash? These are the questions you have to ask yourself. I believe that platforms such as paxful.com and localbitcoin.com all functions in most countries, and would also be functioning in Afghanistan.

So, if you can get to teach them how these peer to peer exchanges works and how they can safely make use of it to exchange whatever cryptocurrency they have, then this would be the better way for you to do this.
