I now have generated addresses for my paper wallets. When I go to send my BTC from my Multibit wallet to these paper wallets, do I click on send or export?

Also is there a transaction fee for doing this & if so roughly how much would it be?

Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

Send.

If you are using the most recent version of MultiBit, it should let you know if a transaction fee is necessary.  It will depend on the specifics of your transaction.  If a fee is advised, it will most likely be 0.0001 BTC per kilobyte.
