Any user has the right to change the password at any time.

You are recently registered. Everything is okay.

We suspect only those who have been registered for a long time, recently woke up and changed their password

Nope. Im guessing what you mean is those who buy and sell account right? Since they can change their password after purchase, but that would be obvious if the account is not active for a long time and suddenly get active. But of course there are still who gone for a long time and suddenly wanted to post here. Anyway its just a speculation but mostly is sold account when they just woke up and starting joining campaign.

No. There wouldn't be any problem.
I recommend you to stake a bitcoin address on "Stake your Bitcoin address here" thread.
In the case you are accused of buying the account, you will be able to prove that you are the real owner of the account. A staked address can also help you if you lose access to your account for any reason and want to recover that.

Note that you should use an address which you have full control over that, so you can to sign a message from that.

Change passwords, email is not a good excuse, accuse linked accounts of being sold and so on.
Selling accounts, buying accounts and Alt accounts, obviously they are connected to some real reasons and evidence.

The problems that I often see in accusations of buying and selling accounts include changing passwords and e-mails.
Such as: The old account was inactive, suddenly activated the email and password changed, another view of the accusation is the initial post and the current post are also different, language etc.
it's also a factor that can lead to accusations of accounts being sold.
And one more reason can be accused of being bought and sold, the account holder can't handle the address, as other members have said.

Conclusion:
If what I said above, you don't have it all, just emails and passwords change every month, not a compelling reason to charge buy and sell accounts.

No. There wouldn't be any problem.
What I have even noticed is that this forum members against account sales which always result to negative tag, but account bought that is not involved in any scam or shit posting can be left alone or just given neutral tag. In my opinion, there is no way we can know if an account that change password is a bought account or not, most especially if the account just woke up some weeks before the password was changed. I agree that signing a message with bitcoin address in a post on this forum indicates the ownership of an account but to know if the account is a bought account can be known from how the user is posting, if it changes or not.

do changing the password be categorized as a trading account? what if I plan to change my password for security?

Many users do change their passwords for added security. I do too, but not more often than once a year.
So it depends what else you do with that account (like said, long inactivity can be a factor), it may depends on how often you change the password, it may depend on other activity and posting related things to get the account tagged for being sold.

do changing the password be categorized as a trading account? what if I plan to change my password for security? should i also archive it here to avoid any unwanted stuff in the future?

As said, an extra step you can do for safe keeping your account - whether you change password often or not - is to sign a message/stake a bitcoin address of yours here; that can be used in the future for recovery. Note: as of now, most of the late posts are related to some drama you can ignore, hence you better go a few pages back and see how to format your message.

All I hope is that since you're asking all this from a completely new account, you're not just gathering info on what to "do right" about another account you may be selling or you may have bought.

Exactly, I changed my password after my account was a year old, I did again when my password was far from me some months ago.

Many users do change their passwords for added security.
I guess as much.

Definitely NO! I regularly changing my password whenever I login on a computer cafe or other temporary device. You seems read a lot of selling account thread in forum marketplace. The reason why this changing password look as a bad move is when an account recently woke or do something that is not typically what he is doing like requesting a loan or joining signature campaign while the post quality changes a lot which typically gives the impression that the account is in new ownership. But if you are doing same activity after you change password, I think there's nothing wrong with it.

Nope, except when the account suddenly comes to life after a period of absence or hibernation like someone above rightly pointed out. Again, when an account's password and email address are changed the same time or almost the same time, it becomes enough signal that such an account has exchanged hands.

should i also archive it here to avoid any unwanted stuff in the future?
There's no need for that. The forum has a mechanism that alerts forum users that an account's password has been changed. It's automatic, just like what bots do in telegram groups when users change names.

I recommend you to stake a bitcoin address on "Stake your Bitcoin address here" thread.
In the case you are accused of buying the account, you will be able to prove that you are the real owner of the account. A staked address can also help you if you lose access to your account for any reason and want to recover that.
All that won't be necessary, at least not now. OP just made his first post ever. They don't have anything to worry with security as I doubt if hackers go after such accounts. It's obviously worthless to them.

There are many things behind changing the password and admin, moderator, members on this forum does not simply look at a change in password to make judgement that one account changed hands.

More things:
- Email change
- Secret question change
- Woke up after very long time
- Changes in posting style, language, favorite boards, etc.

Account exchange on the forum is not prohibited but discouraged.
18. Having multiple accounts and account sales are allowed, but account sales are discouraged.

You are right.
The total time the account in question has been online is only 16 minutes and clearly there shouldn't be anything to worry about. That's exactly why I don't think this is OP's main account. I think it was made only for creating this topic and I doubt it will become online again.

If staking a btc address and signing a message with it thereafter will show the true ownership of an account, what happens if maybe I buy an account of Mr. A, and Mr. A didn't stake his address, me as the new owner now stake an address when I changed email and password. What happens here?

18. Having multiple accounts and account sales are allowed, but account sales are discouraged.
If this statement is true, I think we should not be wasting time looking or searching for account sellers. What we should be concerned is maybe accounts that changed hands forcefully (through hack)

There are too many ways to determine of changing hand but for now, I noticed it hard to get proof on that case.  Maybe if they found out your old Bitcoin address that has been used and asks for a signed message, then you refuse to give it, it could be a sign too.  Changing posting habits, changing passwords, and an email address could be also a reason to suspect the account transfer to a new owner.

It could be categorized and you should be aware of this, if you have a plan to change your password, stake first your Bitcoin address here in the forum and it was already suggested above.  This is the reason I didn't change my password since I created this account and I'm very confident that my email address password is safe and no one access it.

Hi all do changing the password be categorized as a trading account? what if I plan to change my password for security? should i also archive it here to avoid any unwanted stuff in the future?
You just registered in this forum today and made your first post so you don't have to worry about changing your password.
You can't archive passwords in forum, but you can make backup and save it in password managers like KeePass for example.
Make sure to use unique strong password only for bitcointalk forum and nowhere else, and you can change it any time you want in future for whatever reason.
I changed passwords before and I know other members done the same thing for security reasons, or after they clicked on some phishing links.
Important thing is not to click any links you receive in PMs or emails.

Heh, he maybe made first post with that account but based on the stuff he is worried about I doubt that's his first account here. If it was, he wouldn't be worried about the stuff he is asking about.

@ lose_context  as long as you don't start doing some suspicious stuff like writing in languages you never used before or drastically changing post quality, no one will mind that "recently changed email" notification that you will get.

As far as I know, your thinking is fully wrong and everyone has right to change password. If it refers only trading account then changing password system will not available anymore. You can use 'sign bitcoin address' method to prove your authorship.

I wonder how a new account can have all this knowledge, it took me three weeks to find Meta board let alone talk about detailed things like changing the password.

Therefore, if this account is an alt account, why not post with your main account?  Huh

Buying and selling accounts depends on Merits. If the member can collect them easily, he will not try to buy an account.
Also, many signature campaigns are asking for higher standards than just a rank, as they require obtaining merits in the last 120 days and more. Therefore, unless you improve the quality of the posts, you will not be able to achieve any income from buying accounts.

I do not know, but I am certain that the volume of accounts that are sold annually may be less than 1% of the total accounts, especially for the higher ranks.
