Bitcoin price is currently around $41.8k if you buy it at a price of $35k ^{(when you create this topic)} then you have made a profit of $7k.  i highly recommend that you always provide spare money, so when the market is bearish ^{(bitcoin prices fall)} you can buy more.  everyone doesn't want the price of Bitcoin to go down so buying at a low price is the best thing to do.

It is true that profits can be obtained when investing in altcoins, however the real question is if you can pull something like this on your own? After all there are thousands of altcoins in the market and only a few have a good performance, can you select the right coin when the odds are stacked against you? For me you can only sell assets if that asset is non-performing, but it if a good asset like property or precious metal, not good to sell. The price is cheap but somehow, it wasn't a perfect time for you then since you don't have the money specifically for investing Bitcoin.  But I think you have to consider this...

Have to be aware of what kind of investment you want to try. Understandable that crypto investment is high risk and putting huge money is not advisable unless you are filthy rich that losing doesn't wary you or you already have backup resources. People should not be in hurry upon buying volatile things like crypto as their are consequences of thing you didn't think of it. Much better if you read the chart first before you decide to buy since you didn't know that you will suffer from major lost if the time you bought yours is at ATH price and for sure we don't want to be a bag holder. We can always buy at a small money, we should not force ourselves to have Bitcoin at a huge starting capital because if we wait for that long, we might already lose the opportunity. I kind of did this I mean I would not suggest it to other people neither, but selling "liability" and buying assets with it is not a bad idea. I did not sell too much, just a few personally stuff, like console and all, and put that into crypto. It wasn't a big deal for me, and I made some profit from it, I am quite glad about my decision.

But, it could have gone wrong as well, I might have lost money. Plus, selling another good income maker asset (like a house that you are earning rent income) and putting that money into crypto would be wrong, I only look at the liabilities in my life and try to put that into crypto because it would be profitable instead of hurting my economy.

People dream of becoming traders and investors but they seem to fail to realize that the first step they need to take is to save all the money they possibly can, after all what is the point of having a profound knowledge about the markets if you do not have the money to take advantage of that knowledge? And obviously the reverse is true as well, there are many people with a significant amount of capital at their disposal but that do not know anything about the markets and lose it relatively quickly, as they keep making mistakes due to their ignorance.

No, bitcoin price isn't cheaper now. I checked it and it is 44.6 thousand dollars. The price was cheap by the time OP posted but for now he might need to wait if there are still some corrections left (which I think there will be). For us to be sure that the price is now heading on the upward direction, we need to wait for the month of April. It's a good time for now to accumulate money because the market is still confusing.

Borrowing only to invest is not advisable because investing is risky and if you lose the borrowed money, you will have a hard time to pay it, worst thing that can happen is you will borrow money again from other sources until they stack.

If I may suggest, he should not put his money to btc only if it comes from his hard-earned savings.
As much as possible, diversify his portfolio not only in crypto, but he should at least have tangible assets like jewelry or real-estate, if possible.
Because if the crypto market gets worse, at least he has other assets to back up his financials.

But for the majority of us average Joe, it's only crypto that we have invested, maybe in the last 4-5 years and it really good to see because it's paying higher dividends. If and only if you have hold then for that long. But I will totally understood average Joe investors who sold because they need money. I agree with diversification though, if you can then do it. But if you stick with crypto, you better learn how to mitigate risk as well, specially in a bear market.
